Good morning girls,

I never got my workout in yesterday:confused: I will do cardio and a full body workout. I have no time for personals, will try to catch up. This time of the year is just soooo busy and crazy!

I will be back to report my workout!

So excited about Shock Cardio coming!!! It will be fun to throw in a few of them in the next 2-3 weeks in Meso 3!

Today I do DISC 30, Shoulders Triceps and Biceps. I know it's going to be tough!

Trying to start a bit early. Another busy day today. The worst thing about busy is , that time flies WAY too fast, and I just don't get things done.

TGIF! Wow, my legs are talking to me today after doing PLB yesterday. I really think watching myself and not the TV screen made such a difference. I'm usually not this sore from that workout. Today is usually my rest day, but I doubt I'll be able to get a workout in tomorrow, so I may try to make it to a spin class after work. It's a shorter one, but more intense. It'll depend on how my legs feel though. I need to do some abs too.

Today was suppose to be KM timesaver but I didn't sleep well again last night so I couldn't get up and I know I won't get it done tonite babysitting my 1 year old nephew.

Today was P90X Legs and Back. Had an excellent workout. I increased my weights on all the exercises I used weights in. However, with back I used my bands. I'm getting burned out with all those pullups plus I don't think it's necessary to do so many twice a week. I got an excellent burn in my back using all three bands that came in my Golds Gym set. So I'm happy with the way that felt.

Balance Lunge (BSS) - 15's/25 reps each side
Calf-Raise Squats - 15's/25 reps
Reverse Grip Chinups - All Bands/15 reps

Super Skaters - 25 each side (this time the leg that was off the floor never touched the floor unless I lost my balance.)
Wall Squats - an eternity at high and low levels, did these on the stability ball. I really felt these today for some odd reason.
Wide Front Pullups - All Bands/17 reps

Step Back Lunges - 15's/15 reps each side
Alternate Side Lunges - 10's/24 reps alternating
Close Grip Overhand Pullups - All Bands/17 reps

Single Leg Wall Squats - 1 minute total, 10 second holds each side alternating, used stability ball. These hurt today.
Deadlift Squats - 20/side (again, didn't touch the floor unless I lost my balance)
Switch Grip Pullups - All Bands/total of 20 - did 2 pulls overhand, two pulls underhand and kept switching.

1 minute break

Three-Way Lunge w/kick - 5 each side going side, 45 degree, front, with leg lift or kick.
Sneaky Lunges - 20 each side
Reverse Grip Chinups - All Bands/15 reps

Chair Salutations - 2 - 30 second chair poses (burned like a mother)
Toe-Roll Iso Lunges - 8's/20 each side (last week I didn't use a weight)
Wide Front Pullups - All Bands/12 reps

Groucho Walk - 4 up, 4 back for 45 seconds
Calf Raises - 20's/did 15 reps slow, 10 reps fast with feet turned out, front and in.
Close Grip Overhand Pullups - All Bands/12 reps

80-20 Sieber Speed Squats - 30 a side (I liked these)
Switch Grip Pullups - All bands/10 sets of 3 pulls. At this point my back was toast.

Back is ok today, still a bit of a pinch on the right side but it's not bad and didn't bother me with my workout.

I may have to go get blood taken for some tests tomorrow morning so I may end up doing Kenpo X Sunday instead. I can't eat before they take my blood. I'll see if I can get in tomorrow.
 
Hey Debbie... a quickie question for you. Do you think P90X was a good shake up after STS or do you think there's a lot of similiarities? I'm thinking about what to do in 3 weeks, when I'm done with STS. It's either going to be P90X or maybe a month of leaning heavier on the cardio (probably Cathe's JAN 10 Rotation, she usually does after the holidays).

What do you think?

I'm so excited that I got my shipping notice that my Shock Cardio has now been shipped and is on its way to me. Its supposed to be here on or about December 29th:eek::D I can't wait!! I did pre-order Tracey Staehle Cardio Kickbox Challenge! Lots more good stuff to look forward too!

here's today's workout for me:

P90X Legs & Back= 59 Min
Calories burned= 483
I keep forgetting to write down what I did. I wish there was a worksheet with all this on it so I could just fill in the blanks for weights, reps etc.. Oh well, I did do the workout. I did use bands when doing pullups and chinups. Wall squats burned, yikes!! I did pretty much the number of reps for the most part with those on the DVD. When there were weights used I used #20 and did the number of reps they did. I lifted heavier than Dreya. LOL!! I really like this workout my only thing is I always want more legwork and back work. Back work that doesn't require bands or pullups or chinups. I can't do a pullup or a chinup to save my life. LOL!! I know, its room for improvement and a good goal to make a change. I'm trying but I need to get more upper body strength first so I can do a pullup or a chinup first. Ugh! I have work to do.:p

P90X Ab RipperX= 16 min
Calories burned= 98
Still having issues with a couple of the ab moves in this. My lower back, in particular my tail bone hurts when I do these, so I substitute them with something I can do that works those muscles without pain. I'm trying to keep doing the abs even if I have to substitute on a couple of them. Its a killer ab workout. I do like it!;)

And just because I'm a workout-a-holic I wanted to get a good even burn in my legs so I added this:
Legs & Glutes- Floor work Only= 11 Min
Calories burned= 60
I used 2.5lbs ankle weights and a high step with three risers. This was a short add-on to my workout but man does it even pack a punch, I love that!

Total calories burned from today's workout= 641

Chris- Great job on STS Meso 3 Disc 30 Shoulders, Bi's, and Tri's. STS is so awesome and always delivers a great workout. I know I'm soo glad I got it, its a keeper!

Heather- Wow! It sounds like a great workout tip you've stumbled on to there with not watching the dvd so closely since you know it and focus on your form. PLB is a toughie, so high fives to you. I can understand if you didn't workout today. If you did make it to the shorter spin class, bonus high fives and hugs to you! ;)

Roxie- You're busy, it happens. Great job on getting in the crunches and pushups!;) I hope you get a good nights sleep and feel awesome tomorrow.

Debbie- Hey, we both did the same P90X workout today:cool: I agree about thinking it was a bit overkill on all the pullups and stuff. I know its an area I need to work on, but still that's a lot!
