Today was GS Back, Shoulders, and Biceps + LIC Abs. Used the same weight as Cathe throughout and felt it!

TGIF!!! Anyone have plans for the weekend? DH and I will go see a band later tonight. (long day) Then working on projects and maying some swimming or disc golf? We'll see...Been playing alot of hacky sack lately too.
 
Morning. I had a sore throat that got worse and worse yesterday afternoon. I didn't sleep well because it hurt so bad. It seems a bit better this morning, so I hope that continues. Weird, because otherwise I feel OK. I hope to get UB in today, not sure if it will happen.

Karen: Love GS! Sounds like a fun weekend. Our 11th anniversary is tomorrow so hopefully we'll get to go out for dinner.

Belinda: The heat makes me lazy too and the kids always want to play outside even when it is beastly hot. :rolleyes:

My walk wasn't so great. Cut that short. Did abs at least. Ended up with a severe migraine. Didn't stop and take my medication soon enough and it really laid me up. I had a really hard time even getting my dinner down last night so I know I was terribly under on calories and feel very fatigued today (part medication and migraine hangover too I'm sure). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to ice my ankle either b/c I could not do anything other than get myself into bed at 7pm. TGIF right!!!

My only big plan this weekend is going to the lake with the family on Sunday. Looking forward to it.

Roxie - hope your headache is gone today. Must have been catching!

Good Morning,

Tonites workout is the same as last nites plus abs. I have 2 more days of this one and then I can move on to the next one thank god. I hope you ladies don't mind but I am going to start posting my meals again still not eating enough, this time 700 cals or less.

Debbie-I have a problem with the tape measure even though I can see changes and my clothes fit better the tape hasn't changed in 8 years.

Got back late from the beach last night. It was a wonderful, beautiful, beachy day. I think the day and 1/2 was just enough. the car ride home was long though. Had some crappy traffic back ups and Zach's blood sugars went haywire too.

Unfortunately, I *found* Salt Water Taffy while away, and now , need to go work off that GOO! Horrible eating, but I'm ready to fix that... (I think!)

After feeding the kitties, I'll go play with IMAX2!

Roxie - we have a pool table too and will probably play this evening as well! Our pool table is in the room where our living room was supposed to be and our living room is where our dining room was supposed to be. Can't remember how we justified it, but we did! We did get a large piece of wood to cover the table when we have parties and can set out food on it, but we have yet to find chairs that would fit.

We put ours in the basement since the kids moved out we have extra rooms and still have a spare room when someone comes to stay. My youngest DDS room became my workout room.
 
Meals for today:

Brkfst-oatmeal and banana
AM snack-either special k protein drink or almonds and watermelon
Lunch-sweet onion chicken teriayki subway salad and cantaloupe
PM snack-laughing cow cheese wedge, cucumbers and grapes forgot bing cherries.
Supper-undecided at this point and time.
 
MIS upper body done! I had to take DS down with me- used the portable DVD player and snacks to bribe him into being quiet(ish). It mostly worked- had to pause a few times to make sure he stayed out of the way. But hey, he's two, so I think it went pretty well.

Throat isn't 100% better but a bit- weirdest thing ever.

Heather: So sorry about the headache and the bum workout.

Chris: Found some of that taffy while I was out of town, too. But I'm back! You will be too- enjoy IMAX 2.

Gotta go- parents coming over and we're going to the park for a picnic and to feed the fish.

I agree with Patti. You can probably eat the whole wheel of the Laughing Cow cheese! LOL (love that stuff).

Heather, I got that recipe from Debbie;) My ktchen smells so good.

Zucchini Lasagna

1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1, 24oz jar low-fat, low-sodium tomato sauce
1# extra lean ground chicken or turkey (I used 96% lean ground beef) I used veg, ground beef!
sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
1 egg
2 C low fat cottage cheese (I used fat free)
1 tsp whole-wheat flour
1/2 C skim mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
2 1/2 C zucchini (about 2 medium), sliced into 1/4" thick pieces, divided
Preheat oven to 350

In a large nonstick frying pan, saute onion and garlic over medium heat until tender. Add tomato sauce and ground meat, and bring all ingredients to consistent heat for 10 minutes (until browned). Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Remove from heat.

In a small bowl, slighty beat the egg. Stir in cottage cheese, flour and 1/4 C mozzarella cheese.

Pour 1/2 of meat-tomato sauce mixture into a 1 1/2 quart roasting pan. Top with 1 1/4 C zucchini slices and cottage cheese mixture. Then cover with remaining meat-tomato sauce mixture and zucchini. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and bake 10 minutes longer.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Info: makes 6 servings, about 1 2/3 C serving size.

This is the instructions in the magazine. I chop up the zucchini and just mix all this stuff together and bake it as instructed. It is SO GOOD.

Heather, I forgot to tell you, I didn't had tomatoe sauce, I used fire roeasted tomatoes (organic)! It's sooooo good! DH is on his 2nd plate!:D
 
Today was Week 2, Meso 1, Disc 4 - Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. I previewed this workout last night and could not wait to do it. I was able to do ALL the pushups Cathe did, exactly how she did them except for the ones where she has her toes up on the SB. I just can't balance myself so I kept the tops of my feet on the ball. I'm not a big pushup fan, but she must do all these for a reason. I wish she'd do more dumbbell presses but I'm thinking that's coming in furture workouts.

Nice balance of exercises, I loved every one of them. The bow & Arrow w/Band was cool. Really felt those.

I don't have time to key in my weights. I may come back in later and do that.

Debbie: Yes, DB and BB chest presses will come! I wasn't in love with the push ups but I do like how well I can do them now- she does them in her older DVDs and I can crank them out now. It's kind of nice. :cool: The only ones I can't do are what she calls the Elmo pushups on the SB- I have to put the ball up against a wall. I can do a few when I'm "fresh" but not in the middle of those wos. :eek:

Roxie: Good for you on the almonds, but more fat girl. MORE! :eek:

On that zucchini lasagna I put the cottage cheese in the blender with a bunch of spices and it really improves the texture of the dish, IMO. :)
