Nora - sorry, to hear you still having muscle issues ((HUGS))) hope you feeling better soon.I know, you pretty much own every wo dvd, have you ever done JM's rotation? If so, what results did you get? WOW, on your workouts yesterday. You are kicking it up, girl!

Debbie - I am getting worried about you? Are you ok?

I'm just checking in to say you all probably won't hear from me for two weeks. I'm resting for two straight weeks to get this muscle in my upper back unknotted and functioning again. I resorted to wearing a sling since Saturday, it has helped tremendously. But I'm afraid to do any type of workout, running or otherwise, because the jarring irritates it. I've come to the conclusion that I have a pinched nerve (thanks Chris!). Ice has helped a great deal but using my left arm as much as I do hasn't let it heal enough to stop hurting. So I'm done. I need to get this thing to heal or something worse will happen.

I'll be reading the thread and commenting here and there. But don't look for my workouts to be posted until hopefully Sept. 12th. That's when I will start up again.

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday , it was just hard with working weekend, no sleep, dealing with my brother.

I did do a workout, though. Kind of dreaded the Peak Fit workout on tap, so I did Circuit Burn 1 with Chalene. it was a bonus workout on Turbo Fire, I wanted to try. I liked it, but no big DOMS for me today with it. Today i went back to Peak Fit and did Cardio Strength 2, STILL kicks my ass, and I'm in the last week. I am pretty happy , though, for whatever reason, I think it may be Peak Fit combined with improved weekend eating, I have lost 7 lbs since January , and most of it in the last few months. YAY! I'd LOVE to lose 10 more lbs! but I'd also be happy with losing just 5 more, too.

Belinda: Hope you got in a good cardio! You do a LOT for workouts too. I wonder if you don't eat ENOUGH? Just a thought. I have Jillian and Bob's workouts. Haven't done a rotation with them, but have done some of them. I bet changing it up, and going to lift lighter weights with compound moves would be VERY beneficial to you. I know I was so stuck on Cathe and heavy weights, i was terrified to do Peak Fit. But I've seen THE best results with it.

Debbie: OMG, you poor thing! It did seem if the problem was re-occuring alot, must be something going on. I'm glad you found out what it was. Is rest the sole cure for it? or are there moves/exercises you need to do too? Do keep checking in, would miss ya if you didn't!

Nora: You still kick butt with workouts even though you don't feel well!!! You are a crazy gal! Hope you're feeling even better today!

Met Value= 6.50
Calories burned= 347

Turbo Fire-HiiT 20= 20 Min
Met Value= 10.0
Calories burned= 273

I've had to try something different this week and scale back on the workouts. I'm really disappointed that I was not able to finish PeakFit Challenge rotation. I'll probably start a new rotation of it sometime in the future but right now I need do stuff that doesn't aggrevate my preexisting muscle problems. Don't get me wrong, PeakFit Challenge is a great workout system and I will do it again, just not right now. I gotta listen to my body on this one, so that's what I'm doing.

Total calories burned= 620;)

Belinda- To answer your question no I have not done a JM rotation. I have however done a month of 30 day shred and liked the circuit style format. I didn't actually do any measurements at the beginnig and again after the month to see if there was any change. I remember liking it though. I'm interested in her two new ones which I'll probably get at some point. I don't mind JM persona at all because I want a good workout and I'm in it to get results so being focused on that doesn't bother me. I'm trying to ease off a bit this week anyways to see if that will help with the muscle extreme tightness in my right leg, glute and calf area. I do need to move for it to loosen up but not until I've had two or three hours of heat applied. I don't use heating pads just corn pillows that I microwave to get warm and that helps. I tend to think this is a MS related issue because its on the right side which is where I have lesions on the part of the brain that effects the right side part of the body which was initially caused the problems so it just may be more of the same not a new thing. I'm sure you did a killer cardio workout today as per your usual rocked it like the cathlete that I know you are. :)

Debbie- Oh no, double darn. I know how you feel having to be sidelined with an injury or some other affliction just plain sucks, I'm in the same boat. I definitely feel for you girlfriend. Just rest and take care of yourself and I hope you have a great recovery and are back into doing your usual awesome workouts again soon. In the meantime just know that we are all thinking of you and sending you healing wishes your way. Yes, don't be a stranger we still want to hear from you even if you are taking a break and not workingout. Hugs and get well soon!;):)

Chris- Nice workout today!:) I know things are hectic and stressful you right now especially being concerned for your brother and his well being. I know its hard but you need to make sure you do take time to take care of yourself or you'll be in no shape to offer help and support to your family and brother in this difficult time. So, definitely rest when you can that's important and workouts are important too because you need to have a way to vent that pent up energy, concern, out of your system and sweating it out is a great way to do that and it helps to feel better about yourself and life in general. It makes it easier cope with your day and whatever that entails. Its a good prescription rest and exercise it really helps tons. Although, I have to warn you being a cathlete that exercise is addictive and sleep is great too especially working the long shifts that you do. At least you can always refill that prescription as often as needed with endless refills at your disposal. Sorry, I could resist a little medical humor there, or at least an attempt to. Please take care girlfriend and extra hugs for you and your brother. ;):):cool:
