Good morning

Today I am finishing up M1 with disc 12:eek: I am so looking forward to a recovery week next week!


What are your plans for this weekend? I am going to my sister's house today, I will be back on Saturday.

Today was a rest day. I did Bryan Kest's Power Yoga - Energize. Wow, have I lost alot of my flexibility over the years! There were a couple of moves that I was horrible at that I was able to do before. Made me feel depressed.

On another note - at least its friday. My boss is driving me up the wall - he really needs to go. Or I will go insane!!!

Not much planned for the weekend. DH has to work this weekend. I need to do some house cleaning. We are leaving for Virginia next Friday so there is alot of stuff I need to wrap up around here before then.

Alright, off to work! :(
 
Hi ladies. I couldn't sleep at all last night so at 5am when DH got up to swim, I went ahead and got up myself. I did Imax 3 step segments only. Felt pretty good. Wrapped my ankle tight and tried not to do any extra bouncing around (I find that I do that, just hop around). Anyway, did that for 35 mins and went ahead and did stability ball abs from Basic Step.

My sister is coming up tomorrow so I probably won't have time for abs then. Will try to squeeze in GS back and chest. Sunday will be my rest day (it's usually Friday) b/c DH is doing a triathlon. Very unlikely he'll want to run or walk with me after that! It is, however, conveniently located at the lake our family goes to. So we'll get to enjoy a lake day after the race. It'll be a LONG day though!

Belinda - Good job finishing up Meso 1!

Nora - sounds like a true kick butt workout you had!!!

Karen - I understand all about annoying bosses. I had to change jobs to get rid of one!

Good Morning,

Tonite is Ramp it Up again. I probably won't be able to check in this weekend, my oldest DDs b-day was yesterday she turned 24 and she wants us all to go to a water park that is 3 hours away so we will be gone all weekend.

Belinda-good job completing meso 1 enjoy your recovery week.

Karen-my boss decided we needed to wear scrubs to work so yesterday we went shopping and it might happen again today. I work in a medical supply store.

Heather-good job with your workout I couldn't have done that on no sleep.

Checking in with GS: LEGS. God that was hard to talk myself into! LOL!. The weight stuff is ok (except the low slow static lunges where she does ..down 4, hold 4, pulse 4, hold 4 up 4..OUCH :eek:), but the ball, I'm telling you, I hate it!! I can even take the burning from the band and get through it, but not that dang ball! I did my best, the worst being the one-legged pull ins.

Belinda: Congrats on your last of the Meso 1 workouts!!! Holy moly, 90 lbs?? :eek: That's amazing! you must have a squat bar then?

Karen: Nice job on the yoga. I know I found myself not so flexible when I did yoga with Debbie's last rotation. My weekend is "back to usual", working Saturday and Sunday overnight 12 hour shifts. Yuck.

Heather: Great to hear your ankle is better , enough to do some Step!! It's nice you'll have lake time this weekend too...

Roxie: Hope you have a good workout tonight...what is Ramp it Up? Cardio? I have to say, I love wearing scrubs for my job. they are SOOO comfy, like wearing PJ's to work! I also wear matching crocs. Love my crocs!!

Chris - I hate those one-legged pull ins too. However, I really like the burn from the ball work. I'm a glutton I suppose. Glad you said something about Belinda's weights for squats!! I was going to respond to that as well. Makes me embarrassed to post my weights!!! I feel like a total weenie! LOL

Hey all! My friend leaves tomorrow with her girls- it's been a nice visit but 4 kids is a lot! :eek:

I did S&H back followed by PH back, then S&H planks and KP&C abs. I really liked S&H- first time I have done it.

Belinda: Yay! And you go on 90# for squats! :D

Chris: I love GS Legs- don't like the one legged roll ins either but love the one legged squat things on the ball. I love floor work, can't help it. :eek: I say skip cleaning! ;)

Heather: I was going to scold you for doing step, but I have been doing it despite my sore inside calf muscle. I think next week there is mostly kickboxing on the rotation which is probably for the best. We are both really dedicated or just idiots. :rolleyes:

Had a busy day yesterday - glad I got my cardio in with my weight work the day before as yesterday became a "rest" day.
Just finished GS Legs. I haven't done that one for a while. It really went well. I kept my weights with Cathe's (I saw the last time I did this workout, I noted that I'd gone heavier with squats and lunges). Chris, I was totally dreading those ball roll ins, too. I managed to eek them out, but I noticed I seemed to be using my arms a lot...? Maybe I was doing something wrong, cheating? Oh, well, I won't lose sleep over it!
Heading off to work , then a bbq. Tomorrow I want to take my girls to a Francesca Battistelli (?) concert during the day, then we have a pig roast tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'm not sure how my workout will look. I think cardio is on deck, and I could probably manage some....???

Patti - how did your friend like the step she did the other day??? Has she tried and of Cathe's DVDs before? As far as dedicated vs idiot - maybe dedicated idiots! :eek: I will say that if I do step tomorrow, it'll have to be something like Low Max or LIC. I might do KPC again, but my back is still a bit stiff from the other day (and sleeping wrong I believe).

Hope your calf gets better too!!!

Ramp it Up is kind of a circuit workout but without wts and the band is used for upper body only.

Oops! I forgot to post this earlier. I did finish a late workout around 5:30 PM my time.


Here's the workout I did for Friday:

GS Legs=67 Minutes
Calories burned= 549

Cathe got me good! I love this workout!!! Oh man Chris, did she get you too! Phew! That's an awesome leg workout and left no leg muscles untouched. I definitely felt that one. I don't know if I'll have DOMS tomorrow but I usually don't with leg workouts though. I've been told I have bionic legs, LOL!!! Yes, it was a great workout though. I think all the Gymstyle workouts rock for strength training. I know what you mean about MIC Chris, just when you thought today's workout would be easier, the infamous cathe gremlin gets today with GS Legs, she's really good at that.:eek::p

Well, I know I had a great workout today. Now tomorrow for me is Cardio Coach Volume 3 and a segment of Core Max, sounds doable right? LOL!!! I'm hoping so after today's workout. LOL!!!:p
