Good morning ladies,

Just a quick update! Sorry, I haven’t been online; my head hurts when I read emails, plus I had to go the doctor almost every day! My nose is still very swollen/stuffed and it’s still bleeding. I think I stopped the meds for the swelling to soon, I have a lot of headaches My ENT doctor wants me to take it easy (no high impact stuff or heavy lifting) for the next few weeks, that means STS is on hold.

My plan for next week is to start walking (maybe I can ride the bike in the gym?) for cardio and using the tubing/bands for weight training. I also will try to work my abs. It’s better than nothing, right!

The last few days DH and been taking the dogs for walks. As for my weight, I haven’t lost any nor did I gain any. I am happy for that!

I did have a few days after the hospital where I ate ice cream (Dove) twice a day, for my throat. LOL! It was so good!

Debbie, do you have any recommendation on what I can do besides walking for cardio or tubing/ bands for weight training? I know I will get bored real soon! I searched the forum on sinus surgery, but couldn’t find anything. My nose problem, is taking way to long!

Last week my DH Darieus bought 2 barbells for me! One is 2 Weider Olympic size BB for triceps, the other is a Olympic size ez bar! The both sitting in my workout room and I can’t use them. Arrrr……. Does anybody know how much this barbells weigh? The box the came with didn’t say anything about how long or how much they weigh?

Again thank you so much for your prayers and well wishes, I truly appreciate!

Who ordered the pull up tower?

Have a great weekend and workout!

Belinda! SO GOOD to see you this morning! I'm so happy you are posting again- we missed you. Glad you are on the road to recovery but I can understand your frustration! Keep us posted and take care of yourself. Oh, and my EZ curl bar (Olympic) is 20 pounds, maybe a wee bit under that. I have a 5 foot Olympic bar that is 25 pounds. DH uses a 6 foot one and I think it is 40. Oh and I bought the tower, too. I want it as an extra rack and also so I can do barre work down the road.

Nora: Glad you are listening to your body about running. It's hard to not be able to do what really calls to you, cardio-wise. But I'm glad you are going to be careful. I like KCM's Kickboxing workout(s) too and agree that her cuing is just so-so, but it's easy enough to pick up pretty fast.

Gotta go to AB's new Kickbox Surge this morning. I'm excited!

Good morning. I just got done doing Power Max. That one sure is an oldie! I just wasn't into it this morning which is unusual for me. I also added on Yoga based abs since I didn't do it on Thursday. I did do better this time on that which is good because I really sucked last time. My body just isn't built to do yoga!

Patti-I got Kickbox Surge too so I'm anxious to hear what you think of it!

Belinda-Welcome back. We've missed you so much! Be very careful and take your time to recover. You don't want to do something too soon and then get injured. I know you're frustrated but your body has been through some major trauma so you need to listen to it.

Karen and Chris and Nora-are you more tired in Meso 3 than you were in the other mesocycles? i sure am for some reason.

I'm loving the recipes that you are all posting!

Have a good day everyone.

Bev

Hey Bev! I usually like Power Max but have days where I'm not feeling it, too. But you got it done so now you can relax the rest of the day.

Here is what I posted about Amy's new one over on OD.

I just finished the Kickbox Surge and LOVED it! I am a fan of Amy's hi/lo and this was much easier to pick up from a choreography standpoint. I think I could have done it without a preview and only stumble over a few small things and I always always always preview Amy DVDs. It is high intensity and impact like Amy always is, but the modifier shows some good options. And dare I say, it isn't quite as intense as her other hi/lo and kickbox DVDs? I mean, just a tad easier- a wee bit. Anyway, it is a new favorite and the music is awesome!

Thanks Patti. I have never done Amy Bento before so I guess that means I had better preview before I try it. I do that with pretty much everything these days.

I got up feeling tired but then started to try on some of my summer clothes just for the heck of it and guess what???? I must have FINALLY lost some weight in my thighs. That is probably my worst area and I really thought that doing the heavy barbell work was making them bulk. So now that I'm doing STS and have done no barbell work they seem to finally be getting smaller. Hallelujiah!!!!!! It must have been those Plyo legs this week that did it. I've been enjoying every minute of STS but now I am loving it even more!!! And now I have more energy than when I got up. Isn't it funny how our feelings about our bodies can govern how we feel that day??????

Have a great weekend ladies.

Bev

Congratulations Bev! There is NO better feeling than seeing results from your hard work. :) Enjoy your weekend with your hottie legs, lol!
