Count how many you have.

I have a walk in closet off our bathroom.:) I like to have my sneaks match my workout outfit. I am going to have problems with that on the road trip. I am trying to bring only two pairs.x( I am a SAHM so I have more casual shoes. Flip flops out the you know what. I have stylish ones too. Some with beads, some with sequins, I have a pair with shells. You get the idea.:p
 
Last count was near 100. But I've lately bought more - running into a problem in that I have no room for the new ones, so some old ones (that never get worn) must go. A project for a rainy day, I suppose. I need to be stopped.
 
How can they get lonely? They're in pairs! Or do you buy single shoes? Do they let you buy them cheap when you buy the "demo" model off the rack? Is that your true confession? "Hi my name is Mattea and I'm addicted to buying single shoes".:p
 
This reminds me of the Sex in the City episode when Carrie finally realizes just how much $$$ she's spent on shoes over the years as compared to the amount in her checking account! :D

I'm up to 30 and still counting (and this is AFTER I got rid of a ton of them right before we moved!) - I gotta say, though, my weakness is sandals and dressy summer shoes (several of which I
have NEVER worn, but they're just too cute to part with and I KNOW that I will someday find the right dresses to wear with them & occasions that call for them!!!)
 
Hey ladies,

I found 3 more pr. of shoes. Two pair of dress shoes and a pair of reebok shoes. And I found them in my daughters room. Boy I gave her a talking to. I don't mind if she borrows them, but put them back.

Hey we even share clothes. That saves money huh? But she is to never borrow anything of mine without permission.

This is awful! I have no clue!! I would have to guess at the very least 50! I know have at least 4 pairs of birkenstocks, 6 pairs of workout shoes. I think I will count when I go home, first thing! My husband will think I am crazy. (actually, I really should not do it when he is around). My daughter is already trained to run and put packages in my closet before he gets home from work!!!

It is around 20, but I actually wear about 4 of them regularly. The other ones just sit in there just in case I get that outfit that will match my cute shoes!
 
OMG! That is my favorite SITC ever! I know I can just peek in my closet or jewelry box & see where my life's investment went. I've spent more money on that stuff than on my house & furniture.

Crap, that's really scary. :eek:
 
Actually, I just went through a major closet purge which resulted in SIX garbage bags full of stuff for the good will: all clothes and shoes. Yes, that is correct, SIX stuffed bags. Many items still had tags attached. Most were in a variety of sizes, since my weight slides up and down the scale with frightening regularity....

I am trying to get better about not buying crap that looks so cute on the hangar but has no place in my nearing 40, "I work in insurance and have little social life" black and gray color scheme.... :eek:

I have a "few pairs" of shoes, too. Maybe you should ask how many we have that are still like new? I swear at least once a week, someone asks me if I got a new pair of shoes. Even shoes, that I've had for months. I have so many different styles of trainers alone, they all look like new.

And like someone else posted, I even have a few never-before-worn pairs that are too adorable to get rid of, but I just can't find the right outfit.

My main problem is I hate shopping. It's a drag. So whenever I really need to go update my wardrobe at the mall, I'll search & search for cool clothes & leave with 2-3 pairs of shoes instead.

I'm actually going out tomorrow to buy more! Is that wrong? Because if it is, I don't want to be right. It's summer, I need some sandals. ;)

1 pair Adidas just because I liked them tennis shoes
1 pair of old Nike cross trainers I haven't gotten around to throwing away
