*** Coolers Wintery week of Nov. 17 ***

Just finished LowMax, felt good. No DOMS from yesterday but ds is complaining that his arms are sore. Both dd and dh are wandering around here sneezing/coughing :(.

Thinking of putting the Christmas tree up after I have a shower. Can't do a real one since we're going away but have a old artificial one that will do. I think we'll do it in the basement since it's quite cozy down here with the new carpet, and I feel safer when we're away than having presents displayed in the front window. Hope it doesn't intrude in my workout space too much.

Good afternoon,
Thanks for the birthday wishes! DH and I had some plans of going out today, but I really needed to do some housework instead. We'll be going out to dinner tonite with family. Tomorrow I'm hoping for a bike ride and golf game. I played yesterday afternoon and shot my best score ever, though I was by myself. Last week, I think was my worst score ever. Can you say inconsistent?

This morning was the timesaver premix from GS Chest & Triceps, then added on the abs from LIC and then some forearm and wrist curls and shoulder circles with a weighted ball.

Kim, have fun putting the tree up. You're reminding me that I need to go buy a Christmas tree permit. I remember last year we went out on the coldest, windiest day of the year. It was freezing, but we had hotdogs, pastry, chips and Peppermint Paddie hot chocolate drinks. In fact, my avatar is from that cold day, come to think of it. That Lowmax is a good one, isn't it? I never get tired of that one. I think that a lot of the young women entering the work force are snippier and have this demeanor of entitlement. So many of them have no sense of respect. I mean, they don't care who they say something to, whether it's the Warden or a girlfriend. It's like they have no clue, or don't care. Not a good thing. We have a couple of immature acting gals in our office, but mostly I don't have to interact too much with them. And they wonder why they can't get promoted.

Laurie, so nice that you have 2 options to exercise so if the Gym doesn't work out, all is not lost. I've always worked with men too, so didn't see much bickering. They can be bad in other ways as in playing games, stirring stuff up. Out here at the prison, it's not necessarily the inmates you have to watch out for, it's other staff, though I've really enjoyed my 18 years out here. I try to surround myself with very positive people, which helps tons.

Patricia, hope you are okay!

Hope you had a good birthday Jeanette!

Waving at Laurie and Patricia, hoping everyone is just busy!

Finished up Boot Camp and ab hits #4 so that wraps up week#3 of the November rotation. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow! Quiet around here, dd is at a friend's birthday sleepover, DH is sick in bed  so ds and I have been hanging around lots. Watched a movie and went to dinner last night just the 2 of us. Now we're going to head to church. I let him invite a few of his buddies over to watch the Grey Cup with him tonight.

Good Sunday Evening

Been busy at work and not much computer time at home. DS's day-care closed Friday and Monday unexpectedly due to a reallly bad outbreak of the flu that they can't seem to get rid of. So the workers are spending a few days re-sanitizing everything. Good thing DS has not shown any sign of it but I'd heard kids had been sick for a couple weeks now. Called my parents to come up Thurs. afternoon and they looked after DS Friday. I've ended up taking this Monday off. Need to get his thumb x-ray'd as he can't straighten it out so it will be a good opportunity.

Went to a kids Xmas party on Sat. evening. DS went toboganning (sp?) and ended up running into a culvert and banging his head so he now has a huge goose egg. Just lucky that was all it was but I got up in the middle of the night to check on him as I was concerned about concussion.

Bought a string of outdoor lights and hung them up. Need to go and get another string. Bought a new 7' Xmas tree and set it up and got as far as putting the lights on it.

Lets see, I did the 1st 2 combos on Step Blast and then did the floor work and abs from B&G that I got in a trade this week.

DH went to Montreal this weekend to watch a hockey game and home just in time for dinner.

So now I'm all caught up.

I'm going to post and come back for personals

:DLets see

I can't believe I was MIA for your birthday Jeanette. So HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY

Kim - how is DS feeling now? Hope he has fun watching the Grey Cup. DH said that a lot of the streets in Montreal were closed so traffice was a real pain, especially if you missed a exit like he did and have to backtrack:D:D

Jeanette - did you get anything special for your birthday (and I don't mean a really good golf score!) So envious of the KB purchase. They start at around $60 here for 18#. I've heard it is best to take some live instruction for it b/4 doing it at home. I found a gym here that teaches it and I'm thinking of seeing if I can go to just those classes. Only thing is I don't want to try it now with STS hopefully so close.

Laurie - lucky that you can be flexible for staying home or going to the gym. Does you gym teach KB?

I think I will try BB Timesaver next week. I've been taking it easy on the UB as I still have some pain in my biceps but will see if a week of this will aggravate or not.

Take care,
