Oh my goodness, what a whirlwind of a weekend. It was a blast! We got going by noon on Friday and drove 5.5 hrs staight except for a coffee/potty/gas break

We hit the outskirts of Regina and there was a Chuck' Cheesy's (?sp) which we don't have at home. So stopped there for supper and the kids had so much fun. Then on to the hotel where we had to hit the waterpark where we found some other family members. Then ds babysat the younger kids while the adults had a drink in the lounge.
Saturday was a quick tour of the city to show the kids, swimming and then we got ready for the wedding. The wedding was at a beautiful outdoor farm but it was so hot. 34 Celsius sitting outside on the open prairie with no shade

There was about 120 people at the wedding (and some spoke only Japanese) and 57 were the groom's extended family and we got a picture of everyone

in one big group picture. My grandparents descendents, the first time in many years that we were all together.
The hotel was quite the party hotel for the football game so airhorns started to go off sunday morning at 7:30. We were able to fit in a quick swim, then a visit to the Science museum before the game. The city is huge into their football and we're the main rivals. We got so much attention walking around in our blue jersersy, ds just had a blast. Yes, all 59 of us sat together, only a handful in blue, most were part of the green sea. This game has a reputation of being very rowdy but we had no problems. Our team lost

which was no surprise. Then off to my cousin's for a famly reunion for my dad's side of the family. Which was fun everythough it was decorated in green

football stuff. We're talking about making the football game an annual event.
Tonight we met the teachers and tomorrow is the first day of school. My relatives couldn't believe the kids hadn't gone back yet. We're so much later than everyone else.
Laurie Did your dd's have some hot weather for the weekend?? I love waterskiing! I've read that fruit shakes are one of the healthiest things for breakfast!
Patricia The kayak sounds like fun. My mom has often talked about getting one for the cottage. Was your DH impressed with the weight that you were lifting?
