~~~~~~ Coolers in October ~~~~
Morning Ladies,
This morning was Disc 14 Legs, and I'm hoping to get in a run after work. Did either of you have problems getting some of the discs out of the case? :mad: I feel like I'm going to break the disc sometimes. :mad: Had to go to the dentist, and now I just might be able to sleep the whole night through without any pain. :D Glad I'm done for another 6 months. :D
Kim, Two more to go! WTG. So far I'm liking Meso 2, and the leg workout was GREAT! Loved it! I have been really enjoying all the STS workouts so far.
Patricia, Have fun with the helicopter ride, I don't know that I would be as excited as you are. I'm not one to be up high! :D So I'm guessing that Week 1&4 are wopper plyo workouts. DREAD might be something that I have for them also. :eek:
Have a great day!
Hey Coolers
Back from my helicopter ride and it was just AWESOME. I was worried that I might get scared and chicken out but it was smoother than an airplane! We were up for about 1/2hr and flew over my house but my pics for that are blury:( Here is the link. I went with another co-worker and his wife:
Laurie - I was stupid and tried getting one of my discs out single handed and it cracked. No issue with exchanging it though. Since then I've been extra careful and don't force anything. I think they get easier the more they're taking out and put back in though. Still think it's a good system for that amount of discs. The dentist is your friend! I've just started trying to floss DS's teeth each night. I'm hoping he inherits his Daddy's teeth as mine are just crap!
Morning Ladies,
This morning was BFBM, have to say I really enjoy that workout. ;)
Patricia, Glad you had a good time in the helicopter! :) I still think that I would have a hard time, because high places are not what I tend to like. :eek: My teeth are awful also. :( The only teeth that don't have fillings in are either crowns or had a root canal! :rolleyes: I don't think that the tooth that was worked on will survive another cavity! :eek:
Have a great day!
Evening Coolers
Just finished up Disc 36B - S/Bi/Tri - Yeah, 3 w/os left and I'm DONE:D Last night I did Tracey Mallet's Burn it Up. I tried it once b/4 and turned it off at the WU so last night I persevered and lets just say it's going into the donation pile:confused:
Off to watch Survivor that I just dv'rd.
:D:D:D:D:DI'm finished!:D:D:D CLX is done!
Patricia, can you email me your address so I can send it back to you? Thanks so much for lending it to me. They were enjoyable workouts, not my favourites of all time but good.
WOW, on the helicopter ride! How neat! Was your ds really jealous? You look so young in the picture. Oh, I couldn't substitute like that, would drive me crazy. I would think about it till I went back to do the workout:rolleyes::rolleyes: I found dd looking at her piano practice schedule trying to figure out where to schedule the days that she will miss while at Disney. (she wants to get the trophy for practicing everyday). :rolleyes: Just like mom with her workout schedule.
Laurie The STS cases are definitely hard to use but I never broke any. Those trisets are fun aren't they! Glad the dentist was able to give you some pain relief!
The kids and I have a long weekend coming up. No school or work on Friday, looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.
Kim
Morning Ladies,
Getting an early start on my posting. Have not done my workout yet, but as soon as I'm done chatting I'm headed into the basement. Disc 16 Back & Biceps, and a run on the tm (raining). :rolleyes:
I'm headed up north today, going to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Now that is a goal to shoot for! :D
Patricia, Sorry to hear that DVD was a bust!
Kim, CONGRATS on finishing CLX! :) Have a great long weekend.
Off to workout!
Evening Coolers
Drill Max - cardio/leg blast 1-4 done along with Med Ball abs. Glad tomorrow is a rest day. If it doesn't rain we're suppose to go to a pumkin patch along with some co-workers and their kids. Sun meeting with my family for my Mom's 80th B.D. so busy weekend. Plus we have to close the cottage on Sunday.
Kim - I emailed you my address. Thanks for making my day! LOL as I went and got a micro-dermabrasion Thursday night and I was asking what could I do about the lines around my eyes:eek::p Good on your DD not wanting to miss practice. Most kids would be jumping for joy to miss.
Laurie - my parents had their 50th about 3 years ago - I don't know how they did it with 5 kids and 1.5 salary. Hope you have fun at the celebration.
Take care,
Patricia, I put CLX in the mail with Canada Post so let me know that it arrives safely;) Thanks so much for lending it to me.
Fairly quiet day today, ds and I went to the football game and watch our team come out with a huge victory! Our row got picked to get a free bag (big ones) of chips, they were Jalapeno and cheese flavour:eek:
Laurie Congrats to your parents! How wonderful!!! Is there a celebration of some type???
Patricia, a busy weekend for you! Hope you enjoy it all.
Kim
Did my first Insanity workout. It was the "Fit Test". There was a warm up for 3.5 mins, then 8 pylo moves. Each move you do for 1 minute and count how many you could do. There is a 1 min rest between each. Then the cool down so short workout (25 mins). This is down 5 times over the 8 weeks to mark your improvement.
I felt fine for about the first 5 moves and then I was getting kind of nauseous during the last 3:rolleyes::rolleyes: Looking forward to tomorrow's workout:eek:
Morning Ladies,
Disc 16 Chest, Shoulders, Triceps is finished for the day, but it was delayed for a while. I was in the basement getting ready to workout when I saw a mouse. I was ok I will tell DH so that he can deal with the thing later. Then all of a sudden I see two mice, and they are running all over my area. I was on top of my bench, and DH had to come down and wack the things with a board. My HERO! :D I just can't stand those little buggers! :eek: Would like to get in a run after work so I'm hoping I don't see anymore of those dang things.
Patricia, Did you get to go to the pumpkin patch, can't believe that it is getting to that time of the year. I still am amazed that my parents did the same with the seven of us. At one point I remember my Dad lost his job, and then it was really tough. But my Mom was a canner, so we where still able to eat. :D
Kim, We had a celebration, and my Mom invited only our relatives. Well not all the relatives showed up, but 134 of them did. :eek: The food was delish, and of course I ate way to much. My Mom wanted us to dress up, and most of the seven of us dressed up except for my oldest DB. :rolleyes: I had a Star Trek outfit that I wore. One of my DB's was dressed up as a wacked out professor. He looked pretty good. :D Can't wait to hear more about Insanity.
Have a great day!
Morning,
This morning was CTX Kickbox cardio only, and the Cardio Quick Fix that Cathe created in her STS rotation. Overall a great workout for me. I didn't get a run in last night, a) it was raining out b) I was worried that the mice may have made a home by my TM motor, so DH needs to check that for me tonight. :) Otherwise I just may run tonight after work, because it isn't raining so far. :rolleyes:
Hope everyone has had a great weekend,
Afternoon Coolers:
I was an excited puppy yesterday in Walmart. I was browsing the book isle and saw a book for sale that I didn't think came out until next month. I was so Giddy when I saw it. Of course I stayed up until 3:30am to read it. Now I have to wait until the New Year for the 5th and final in the series:( I did manage to do Disc 34B - Back/Chest last night b/4 becoming a couch potato! 2 more w/os to go and I'm done!
Sun - had a family get-together for lunch for my Mom's 80th B.D. then off to the cottage to finish closing it up. A really long day so w/o for me. I figure all the tramping around the cottage was a w/o in itself!
Kim - Somehow I knew you liked puke in the bucket w/os:eek::rolleyes: I'll keep an eye out in the mail.
Laurie - ehh, on the mice. Been there! Imagine a 5 month pregnant woman jumping up onto the bed in fright! See, I was already doing plyo before I met Cathe! Yep, got to the pumpkin patch on Sat. It drizzled all day but stopped long enough for running through a corn maze. I've got pics 3 years in a row of DS sitting in a mound of pumpkins - it's fun to see the difference from year to year.
EEKS on the mice! I can handle most things; surgical wounds/blood (I see those all day long), bugs, but for some reason snakes and mice:confused::confused::confused:
So who did all the cooking and dish washing Laurie??
What book got you so excited Patricia?? Do we get to see the pumpkin pictures of ds?? Please:D
DS and I went to the clinic last night and got H1N1 in one arm and the seasonal flu shot in the other. We're considering high risk, me as a health care worker and ds due to his asthma so we got done right away. I would like to get dd done as well but need to let her recovery from her HepB shot last week:confused:
I've been feeling very achy, tired today probably a combination of the shots and Insanity so will be smart and take the night off.:rolleyes: Even though it will drive me crazy, I can make it up on the weekend. DS isn't feeling so great either and is actually having a nap, not sure if he will make it to hockey practice.
Kim
Morning Ladies,
Disc 17 Legs did not get done this morning, because I couldn't print off the worksheet due to maintenance on the web page. Oh well I will get it done after work. Instead I did TaeBo Celebrity Fit Sculpt.
Patricia, I'm guessing that the book you found was the same book that my DH found. I'm going to guess the new one by Diana Gabaldon? Or am I wrong.:D At least that is the one DH is reading like crazy! ;) LOL about your mouse story! They can climb up your leg, so of course you need to jump onto something. :eek:
Kim, Hope all of you are feeling better after those shots! I actually didn't have to cook or wash dishes. My mother and her sisters where the cooks, and my SIL's washed up. I was cleaning up the tables, and handling the trash. Not so bad. ;) I don't know where my Mom gets these candy corn flavors, because I have not seen them in our area. Brach's makes Caramel and Caramel Apple flavors, and they are so good.
Have a great day!
Evening All
Boy have I become lazy during my last week of STS:eek: No w/o last night (what with only 2.5hrs of sleep) and just not into it tonight either. Will DEFINETLY do Plyo tomorrow b/4 Survivor. I took DS to his hockey lesson tonight so I was out skating (somewhat) tonight so a little activity:p
I went to a Natrualpath (sp?) for the 1st time yesterday, b/c for the last few years I've had a very dry tongue and it makes me eat (especially sweets) to try and make the dryness go away no matter how much I drink fluids. He thinks it might be due to all the metal in my mouth - mercury, gold and titanium. Have a followup appt next Wed with his conclusions.
Kim - I uploaded a new Album - 09 P.Patch and also under the Cottage album are shots of our new deck. Just the handrails need to be done then next year we enclose 1/2 with a screened in porch. I don't get the flu shot and never gave it to DS but have wondered about the H1N1 shot this year. Maybe I'll wait to see how you feel over the next few days and decide. Thanks for being the guinea pig:p
http://www.picturetrail.com/mommapew
Laurie - you're only partly right on the book. I did buy and start Diana Gabaldon's new book An Echo in the Bone. I'm having a hard time getting into as its been sooo long since the last book so hard to remember the storey line, also it is sooooo big and heavy:eek: The book I stayed up late for is by CL Wilson called Queen of Song and Souls. It's phantasy about Fae and Mages and Elves along with romance. So good. She started the series apparently as only 4 books but it grew to 5 so now have to wait until next year sometime.
Here is the link to her website and she has some excerpts from them.
http://www.clwilson.com/
I've learned to print-off those worksheet for the whole week at once!
Thanks for sharing the pics Patricia, the cottage is so beautiful, I'm surprised that you don't spend more time there. It'll be interesting to see what the naturopath says.
The hospital where I work was quite the hotspot for H1N1 in the spring and ds has very severe asthma so I wasn't taking any chances All the doctors I've asked (from different areas ER, ICU, infectious diseases) all say to get it and to get the kids done. They are all getting their families vaccinated.
Okay, good excuse not to workout Laurie!
Okay, I've decided to take the week off. I really should have taken a week off between CLX and Insanity. I shouldn't be dreading Insanity by the third workout. I feel like I hit the proverbial wall. Yesterday I was feeling the side effects of the flu shots, today I had meetings at the daycare, kids over, kids needing baking for their Halloween parties and I have no eggs in the house:rolleyes::rolleyes: Forgot it! I'm ditching my workouts for a few days and when I'm feeling refreshed I'll decided whether to do Insanity or leave it for the spring.
P.S. AND I"M NOT GOING TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT! REALLY I"M NOT!
GOOD FOR YOU KIM
Maybe I'm hitting a wall this week too as I'm so having trouble working up the desire to workout - well mainly doing Plyo one last time.
Morning Ladies,
Disc 17 Legs (done after work), short run (done after work), BC Premix #1 (done this morning), Cathe's Cardio Quick Fix (done this morning), and Ab Circuits No Equipment (done this morning). WHEW! My legs are feeling my workouts this morning, and they are saying JELLO! :D :eek: I feel really good doing STS vs. P90X. I don't feel as tired or hungry.
Patricia, Cute pics! Hope that naturopath helps with the dry mouth. ;) Sounds like a good book, I know that DH is about half way through the other book. He usually is through a book in a couple of days, but this book seems to be taking him longer. ;) GET SOME SLEEP!! :D Hope that helps.
Kim, Oh if I can make excuses than so can you. I would think that taking a week off between rotations is a good idea. I'm going to be getting Insanity, and will probably start that rotation in Feburary. Your days are sounding quite busy. My DD's have the next two days off of school, so I'm sure that they will do nothing. :rolleyes:
Have a great day!
Evening Coolers
Okay I did w/o but skipped the Plyo w/o (dodging slap from Kim:rolleyes:) and sub'd in Butts & Gutts - the Standing Leg and Ab premix. Tomorrow will be the last disc - SH/Bi/Tr and I'll be DONE!
Did I tell you that DH has been off since Wed. to drive down to Talladega for the weekend for a NASCAR race? 4 other guys in an R.V. They called me yesterday to look up the street address for the Mellon Arena in Pittsburg as they spontaneously decided to stop there and get tickets to watch the Canadiens play the Penquins last night. They're not due back until next Wed. so just me and the little guy. It's suppose to be a 2 day drive but with their detours so far it's turning into 3 days:rolleyes:
Laurie - I hope you don't have any stairs to walk up over the next day or so:D Talk about Jello legs I'm sure!
Loving the pics of the new HiiT 40/20 that were just posted today.
Morning Ladies,
Disc 18 Back & Biceps is done, and last night I got in another run with the dog. I'm really feeling my biceps right now! :eek:
Patricia, WHAT! Sick of PLYO! :eek::D I don't know if what you subbed isn't just as bad. :D Have a fun time with your DS. Hope your DH has a good time at the race. Maybe I should say that my legs and arms are feeling it this morning. Wonder how my arms will feel tomorrow. :D
Have a great day!
