This morning I finally did One on One Fountain of Youth, and even though Tony talked a lot it was very enjoyable. I like the fact that he makes me laugh. ;)

Good Friday Evening Coolers

I did the step and hi/lo from SJP tonight. What a fun that w/o is:)

Tomorrow I'm getting a facial, plus we're going out to a dinner/dance. Our company bought a table at some sort of fundraiser. DH isn't too happy he has to wear suit! I just hope he fits in to it:eek:

Laurie - I'm liking AHB - no dread factor at all and find the workout cards very useful for each of the w/os. After STS I've found that having a list of the excercises and tracking your poundage very useful. I think the set is too much $$ though. No music, plus all the printed material came on a DVD that you had to print out your self. One of the DVD's had an error in it so they had to ship out replacements. I'm really liking the use of the gliding disks. Haven't lost any weight (eating candy every day:mad::confused:) but feel tighter.
 
Would you believe that I have the Christmas tree up with all gifts bought and wrapped underneath it??:D:p I had Thursday/Friday off work, kids were at school, and this was much more fun than doing housework.

Patricia What were you reading that was so good? I've just recently read John Grishan's new one (The Associate) and Janet Evanovitch's new Stephanie Plum book. Both good books. When does ds get to some games?? Practice gets boring after awhile even with tennis balls. I watched a bit of Survivor on Thursday for the first time in weeks (I've been watching X-Weighted instead) I was surprised to see so many people still there? Seemed to be it should be very close to the end.

Laurie I didn't realize that your not doing STS right away. It does look like STS should be here for a January start. I hope to finish Insanity Jan 1st and start sts Jan 3. Patricia are you doing doing STS in January?? It's going to be awhile till we see the sun up early for your early morning runs. Will you be back at the gym at all??

Today and tomorrow will finish up this month's workouts. Getting tired of these workouts (really just 3 cardio and one recovery) but also dreading the next ones as I previewed them and they look intense:confused:
 
Morning Ladies,

This morning was 10 Min. Solutions Knockout Body. Will see if anything else makes me want to workout later today! :eek:

Oldest DD is out driving with her instructor, and I will be going to youngest DD's dance class shortly. Other than that all I have left to do is some house cleaning. :(

Kim, No I have been wanting to do this Jillian roation, and of course get Insanity in. Another person I know wants to do Insanity, but she isn't done with her STS rotation until Feburary. So I thought Jillian would work between that time. :D

Patricia, Glad that AHB is working out for you. Might have to get those discs, because my paper plates have to be replaced so often. :eek:

Finished the first month of Insanity:D:D Going to jump right into month 2 week 1 tomorrow though!

Just about ready to hit they hay (well finish my book 1st though:p) Busy weekend. Really enjoyed my facial and we rented Star Trek which was really good - not like the series at all! The dinner was good, the music not so much. Well, we expected that. It was a live band called the Relics which played music from the 50's I say. During the bands intermission an Elvis impersonator came out and he was something (tough in cheek). Still managed to haul DH up for a few slow dances though. Oh, he DID NOT fit into his suit. Hopefully it will be an eye opener for him:mad:

Today, I got the Xmas tree up and the house decorated, then went out and bought a new coffee table. Spent lots of $$ at Northern Reflections. Not really my store but I need sweaters and they run a size bigger so fun to be buying size Small;):D

Oh, I also started my 4th week of AHB - Build 1.

Kim - I'm really into parnormal romances. I was reading Karen Marie Monings latest that came out in Aug. It was the 4 (I think) in a series of 5. My hairdresser recommended Charlaine Harris (books turned into the t.v. show True Blood which I've never seen) so I started on book 1 and there seems to be about 5-6 more - I p/u at a used book store yesterday. Well, I'm not too far behind you with Xmas - just need to figure out what to buy for everyone! I think after AHB I'm going to stick to FB workouts. I have JM and Jari L and Michelle Dozois that are collecting dust. I'm sure I won't be able to resist trying out STS Cardio though. I'm not certain when I'll be doing STS again. It will depend when we move next year. With regard to hockey, I hear they don't introduce pucks until after Xmas. I've read John Grisham b/4 and like him. I don't think I've read Janet b/4. Sounds like she has a series. Must check it out!

Laurie - what days are you off next week with Thanksgiving and any special plans? How soon b/4 DD goes for her license? I learned how to drive in the winter and I think that was the best! There were 3 of us learning together, and one of the other kids was driving as someone ran into us. How is that for an initiation? I'm liking my Gliding Discs but on VF they've mentioned that furniture movers work really good and look identical to Valglides. I'll try to find the thread and post here.

I use my Gliding Discs on laminted flooring and see that they are scratched up and my floor is a bit scartched - just some grit getting in under the disc. I should try to see what they're like on carpet!

At the RT, Cathe had us using rags instead of paper plates and they worked just fine. We only used them for leg excercises - not sure if rags would be as good for the UB.

Kim, Exciting that you only have one more week, I'm sure that you will have such a great time. :D I showed my DH Insanity this weekend, and he thinks I'm crazy! :D We ordered the 10 min. trainers for DH, he said "I have to start somewhere". I couldn't believe that he is willing to exercise! :eek:

Patricia, Thanks for the info on the valslides! I use the paper plates on those foam mats, I have not tried anything else. I have Thurs & Frid. of this week, and we will be spending the majority of Thursday with just the 4 of us. We are going to DH's brothers house for desert. They invited us over for dinner, but my DD's don't like ham, and that is what they where having. :p I just can't have Thanksgiving without turkey! On Friday we head to Wisconsin Dells to visit with my family, and of course the kids get to enjoy all the waterslides. :D DD has her temps for 6 months, and then she can go for her liscense. So I think that takes her into May. She has been driving every possible time that she can. :rolleyes:

I got in my w/o right after work. Sure was nice to have it done by 6pm! I did CLX - Burn it Up - Kinda of a Hiit w/o that's only 25min.

I'm up to the letter "S" for Xmas cards so hope to finish them tonight while watching Heros. So, am I at least ahead of you on that Kim?:p

Laurie - Hey, the 10min trainers sounds great for DH - never even thought of that. Hmmm, I wonder if my DH would do that? I COMPLETELY agree with you on Turkey for the holidays. It just isn't the same with out it. Espicially the wishing bone:)
 
DH and I tried the first workout from month 2 of Insanity. I wasn't as bad as I thought it would be;) It was longer (a hour instead of 40 mins) but maybe not quite as intense.

Laurie Sounds like some fun plans for Thanksgiving! That's great that DH is going to try the 10 minute trainers. I see them in the stores up here now and P90X is everywhere! (walmar, sears, shopper's drug mart, etc) I even saw it at a office supply store the other day. DS said they did Tony Horton's kid's workout dvd in gym class today. Last week they did a Taebo dvd. I guess that makes teaching easy for the teachers.

Patricia Oh, I hate Christmas cards. I only do them because I enjoy getting them! I have kid's pictures and cards but haven't started. I think those will wait till after the trip.

Morning Coolers,

Today was a good cardio day for me I ran on my TM for 2.75 miles, and then did the Cardio Blast Premix of DM. I still have the Med Ball Abs from STS to do when I get home. I have a hair appointment after work, so this might be a chinese food day for my family. :D It is right next to the hair salon. :D

Patricia, Well you are way ahead of me, we just got the boxes of Christmas deco up from the basement. :rolleyes: I just saw the package for the 10 min. Trainers this morning in our box. The mail person must have delivered really late yesterday, because I check our box when I get home from work. In the mornings I was putting on that infomercial, and my DH would ask if that system was good. After seeing the infomercial about three times, he asked if that was something that I thought he could do. :D I told him 10 min. is more that he is doing now. :D And what could it hurt.

Kim, Bet your endurance from doing these workouts has improved. At least that is what I'm hoping, because that is one of my reason for getting these workouts. :D Do the gym teachers workout with the kids during the class? I know I would be. :D Gilad has some kid workouts that are coming out, but those must have been made in the 80's because some of the girls are in those lovely spandex outfits. :eek:

Had a dentist appt this afternoon - just a cleaning but I feel so much lighter:p I did Burn 1 tonight so just Sculpt 1 to do Thurs. and I'm done 4 weeks of AHB. I'm looking forward to some new w/os. Mailed most of my Xmas cards tonight. Ran out of stamps so must remember to get more tomorrow. DS had fun putting all the stamps on.

Kim - I was in Zellers today and I saw the Swat program in the fitness goods area. Couldn't find a price though. I'm curious to hear the comparisons between Insanity and STS Cardio - wonder which one will be more intense.

Laurie - you ran and then did the DM blasts? Yooza:eek: LOL about the chinese. Last week the delivery woman brought DS a box of Smarties. I guess she knows us a little too well! No fighting getting DS to eat when we have Chinese:p
 
Morning Coolers,

This morning was Disc 26 Plyo Legs. Really liked the workout, and I wonder if I had my Met Value on my HR monitor set wrong. The workout manager had a met value of 6, and I put mine at 9. My HR was in my THZ through the whole workout. There calorie count was around 389 and mine came out to 500. :confused: I was sweating buckets, so I'm thinking that my calorie count is closer than what is on the WM. :D I'm going out to eat tonight, so I think I might be trying to justify my calorie expenditure. :D

Patricia, I really like getting my teeth cleaned. They feel so great afterwards. We LOVE chinese food, and I try to vary what I eat. I usually get something spicy, but last night I was a good girl and got the shrimp chop suey. Really good! :)

I did the step cardio portion only of C&W tonight. Thats a good 30 min w/o with not a lot of hi-impact. Just enough of a w/o for me tonight as I'm already for bed:rolleyes: Took DS to hockey practice tonight. it was nice of DH to have dinner on the table when we got home!

Just about to watch Survivor and see it's a recap episode. Probably b/c of those Americans having their Thanksgiving tonight:eek::D:D
 
Had my last day of work yesterday:D:D. Kids have no school today so 2 days of overly excited kids with nothing to do.:rolleyes: Will be a long 2 days waiting to leave on vacation. Today I have parent teacher conferences, some errands, hair appointment so will keep busy. Debating whether to start my workout vacation now or get in 2 more days of Insanity.

Laurie I asked ds if the teachers did the workouts videos with them and he said no. I think they use the videos occasionally when they're busy like doing report cards instead of teaching. How did the hair turned out, anything new? Pylo legs does seem like your type of workout! I enjoyed them but dreaded them:rolleyes: Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Patricia Maybe I'll get started on christmas cards today/tomorrow but finished them after vacation. Is AHB 2 months long with different workouts for each month? What are the SWAT workouts? Wednesday night I went to a meeting at the school about ds's band trip. $425 for a 3 day roadtrip to Ontario. Last week I wrote a check for $250 for a ski trip. Of course there is band camp in 2 weeks which is a cheapie for only $75. Spoiled kids these days!

Hey Kim - Not sure if you'll get this b/4 your vacation. Here's hoping you have TERRIFIC Vacation. I know you have been really looking forward to it.

Just got back from T.O. We had our company Xmas party so left Fri. after work and stayed at my sister's then left left DS with her and didn't come back for him until Sun. after lunch:p Had a really nice time. Open bar so it pays to stay in the hotel where the party is. I stayed up until 1:30 and helped close the party. DH was in bed by 12:eek:

Not sure what I'm doing w/o wise this week. I think I'll need to take a week break and start it back up next Sun. I'm donating blood Wed then Fri. night another company Xmas party to go to and Sat. I'm having the BB team over for a potluck so lots to get get done this week.

Laurie - I guess it's back to work for you on Monday! Boo Hoo Hope you had a great TK.
 
Morning Ladies,

Disc 28 Chest & Back is finished. Got in my workouts before we left for the hotel, and I managed to get in a run at the hotel. Dang was the workout room warm though. :rolleyes: Oldest DD drove home from the hotel yesterday, and she did a really good job driving on the freeway. Gave her a good experience with heavy traffic. :)

Kim, My hair turned out great, and managed to save some money because my hair technician now rents her own chair and charges less. Yippee! Girls have an appointment tomorrow or Wed, have to check. :D Have a fun vacation.

Patricia, Sounds like you had a fun time at the party. Can't believe that tomorrow is the 1st of Dec. Where did the time go! You are going to be busy this week, good thing your party is potluck! :)

Well, I guess it's just you me this week Laurie!

I did Jari Love's Extreme Ripped 1000 tonight - virgin w/o for me. It's tough on cardio but I didn't like the mix of weights with doing lunges and squats. Just don't feel the UB gets worked right.

Started to make my grocery list for this potluck coming up and must get out tomorrow to get everything or Thurs will be my next available free night and that's leaving it way too close for me:confused:

I just finished watching Heros and it won't be back on until Jan. - What's with that? There are still 3 good weeks left in Dec.:mad::mad:

Good to see DD did so well on her driving. My mother, 80yrs old just took her written test today and passed so she is happy!
