~~~Coolers in November~~~
Morning Coolers,
Well today is Veteran's Day, and since I work in a union shop they negotiated the day off so I get the day off. :D So far I have Disc 23 Legs finished, and then around 10 or 11am I will head out for a short run. Otherwise the only things I have planned is getting a little housework done, and figure out meals for the rest of the week. Need to get some grocery shopping done. :rolleyes:
Kim, I am such a planner of what I want to do for my workouts. I think I have things planned all the way to May. :eek: Now grant you I can change my mind on what workout I will do on that day, but if it is kickboxing I need to do kickboxing. :rolleyes: Have to see what Cathe comes up with for the new STS/Cardio rotation. If you do get a Jillian workout, I recommend the Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. It is all cardio, and you don't need any equipment besides a mat. I think it is the best workout for the money. Congrats on the fit test improvements.
Have a great day!
Good Evening Coolers
I see I forgot to check-in yesterday. I did AHB - Burn 1 and tonight I did CIA 2904- Kickbox Surge with Kimberly Spreen. Good functional w/o but didn't really get my heart rate up too high. Part of the w/o you use a body bar upto 9#'s. I don't have one and just use a broom handle. DH asked me what I wanted for Xmas so I said a body bar and a med ball around 6#s. Hopefully my gifts under the tree will be too heavy to lift and shake:D
Well, we don't get Remembrance Day off so I didn't get a lie in like your guys, but since I have the next 2 days off I won't complain:D
Laurie - Maybe I'll add BFFM to my Xmas wish list. Usually when I tell DH what I want fitness related he just rools his eyes and I never get it so I just go out and buy it myself.
Kim - the CIA's are 2009, just have only done them now 2x. I've decided until after my vacation in Feb. not to commit to a long rotation and just do all my w/os that sit on the shelf and are ignored b/c I do so much Cathe:p I still haven't even done the Gymstick that I bought this summer. Glad to see you're already seeing some improvement with Insanity - you know waiting until after the w/o to "puke". We're going to Casino Rama and surprisingly they get quite a few good acts.
I will get my AHB - Sculpt1 w/o in sometime tomorrow and maybe some cardio. Going out for dinner with 2 other couples before the show so need to burn some calories in anticipation. ;)
Morning Coolers,
Todays workout was KCM's 30MTF Kickboxing Premix #1 and the Core/Ab workout on that DVD also.
Patricia, Sounds like some well needed Christmas presents that you requested. I have a 8# med ball, and I think a 4# one would be a good thing to get too. Have a great time tonight, and get those workouts in so you don't have any guilt when eating out. ;) What will you be doing on your days off? Besides going out to eat. :D
Have a great day!
Morning Coolers,
This morning was Disc 24 Back & Biceps, and I was also able to get in the extended stretch. Felt really good for my back to get that in. So Meso 2 is finished, next week is my recovery. :D
Tomorrow will probably be KPC. Sunday I plan on getting in a short run, and Stretching.
Have a great day!
WOW, STS seems to have gone fast for you Laurie! Do you think you would ever do another rotation?? I was thinking that you didn't preorder STS cardio? Enjoy that recovery week!
Patricia, this is the first year I didn't have any exercise stuff on my workout list. I honestly couldn't think of anything I needed.:eek: Hopefully, you get the stuff you want. Have fun on your couple days off!
Would you believe that I've gained 3 lbs since starting Insanity:confused::mad: Not sure what that is about but I'm going to start watching my food intake a little closer over the next couple of weeks especially with our vacation and then Disney coming up!
Good Friday the 13th Evening Coolers
Back from seeing Robin Williams. A really good & of course FUNNY show. Dinner was delish and only lost $20 at the casino:)
Thurs. I did AHB-Sculpt 1 and then spent the rest of the a.m. putting out fires for work remotely:mad: so no time for added cardio. I didn't sleep at all well last night so took today as a rest day. I have not done Lowmax in a long time so I think I'll get that in on Sat. at some point. I have a hair appt in the mid-morning so will try to make the effort to get it done before then!
Laurie - 2/3rds through now - enjoy your recovery week.
Kim - blame it on the Halloween candy:D
Sunday is our Xmas parade so I might get in the mood to put up the Xmas tree and get that done & over with.
Evening Coolers
Got my hair cut coloured today and did LowMax this afternoon. I also got some shopping in. A new pair of black shoes (hopefully that won't hurt my fee) and a new fancy top. I have 3 fancy parties to go to over the next month or so and glad I got taken care of now all my purchases for it.
We have our Santa Claus parade tomorrow afternoon. Thankfully we don't have to wear our snow suits this year to watch it!
Laurie - I couldn't resist buying Jillians 2 DVDs - Banish the Fat & No Trouble Zones. They were 2 for $25 so I finally broke down. I guess I'll fit them in sometime in January:D Should be good ones to get/keep the fat off after the Holidays.
Nothing exciting here. Keeping up with Insanity, two more weeks until our holidays! I got stopped by the RCMP yesterday and got a ticket for $190:mad::mad: I was turning off a small gravel road onto a highway (heading to ds's hockey game in a small town). The RCMP officer gave me a ticket for not coming to a complete stop at the stop sign.:confused: There was no one for miles in the direction I was going (divided highway). He was going the opposite direction and did a u-turn to stop me:confused: He was not very friendly either so I just smiled and said sorry. Seemed a bit over the top to me. I haven't been ticketed since I was a teenage and got a speeding ticket. DD was with and couldn't wait to tell her dad and brother.
How was the Santa Claus parade Patricia? Ours was last night too but we decided not to go.
Hope you're having a good weekend Laurie!
Kim
Morning Ladies,
This morning was Power Yoga with Kristin McGee, and maybe tonight I will get in Box'n'Flow with Kimberly Spreen. Saturday I did get KPC done, and Sunday was a short run after work. Overall a great exercise weekend. I purchased the movie UP, and we ended up watching that on Sunday. Still just as funny as when I saw it in the theater. :D
Kim, Sorry to hear about the ticket, sounds like you just got caught by someone looking for an offense of any kind. :( I do have Shock Cardio on pre-order. I had planned on cancelling it, but the only one I don't think I will be able to do is the step. Sounds like a lot of fancy footwork in at least one or two of those step workouts. :eek:
Patricia, Glad you had a good time at the dinner. Enjoy those workouts, I'm planning on getting a Jillian rotation in after STS is finished. So we may be doing those workouts together at some point. :D Did you enjoy the parade?
Have a great day!
Kim - that just s**cks!:(:( I hardly ever come to a complete stop and know just one of these days it will get me into trouble. Did you lose any points? I didn't know RCMP gave out traffice tickets. Isn't there a provincial or local police for that?
Laurie - I'll join you maybe on a JM rotation. I'm thinking of adding in the Result DVD by Cindy along with Jari's new DVD's after AHB. The parade was good, the weather was great and brough home lots more candy:confused: Oh the temptation!
I did Build1 yesterday and going to try BFFM (sp?) tonight for my cardio. This is my 3rd week of AHB and sooo trying to resist the candy.
I did BFBM tonight - its up there with Cathe in intensity! I also think it's longer than 40min. Have to watch the counter next time.
Off to watch Heros at 8.
Morning Coolers,
Today was a 2.5 mile run on the TM followed by Box'n'Flow kb portion only. Good workout! :D
Patricia, They don't count the warm up or the cool down on the time of this workout. The total time is actually 55 min. With my JM rotation I will be incorporating Cindy, Barry's and running. :D Good job on resisting the candy! :D
Have a great day!
Started week 4 of Insanity. The whole family (4 of us) did it together:D:D It keeps it fun!
I really liked the movie, UP, very cute!
Patricia, we don't have a provincial police. We have the Winnipeg Police Dept in the city but this was on the highway. Outside the city it's all RCMP. I know you have the OPP right?? I've treated patients that are OPP officers before.
Kim
Morning Coolers,
Today was One on One 5-6 Cardio Plus with Tony. I have had this DVD for a long time, but this was my first time getting to try it out. This would have been a super great workout, if Tony had been in the right mindset. He started the workout saying he really didn't want to do this. :( It consisted of 9 exercises that where split into three rounds. And in those rounds you did those three exercises three times for 30 seconds each. It was a good calorie burn, but Tony had to catch is breath more than I had to. :eek:
Kim, How did the kids like the workout? When I get the workouts, I would like my girls to workout with me. I think it would be good for them to get their endurance up before track season starts in the spring.
My oldest DD passed her drivers test, so she now has her temps. I now have a teenage driver, now I just don't want to look at what the car insurance will cost! :eek:
Have a great day!
Afternoon Coolers
I got in Burn 1 last night and will get in some sort of cardio tonight. I think I have to take DS to hockey lessons after work though.
Laurie - I HATE when they lie about the length of the w/o:( I think I prefer a different WU though as I didn't feel stretched/limber. Tony sure doesn't motivate in that one eh? Its fun when the kids want to w/o with you, except when they break your equip. DS was playing with my resistance bands last night and let one end "go" and when the handle hit the floor it broke. He broke it the last time he was playing with it and I super glued it together - will have to do it again I guess. Oh well, at least he is not sitting on the couch:cool: One more step to indepdence for the kids - scary I'm sure but another milestone down:)
Kim - Yeah, I guess not all the provinces have their own Provincial Police like we do. Our city has about 55k population with a City and Provincial Police - can't drive anywhere with out passing some sort of cruise.
When we had JK orientation this summer we were given a poster of excercises for the family. It has WU, stretches, CD and cardio drills. DS saw it last night and wanted to go through all of them so we did. Its cute seeing him try to do a jumping jack. He even likes to get down on the floor and mimick my stretching. Hey, my DH may not w/o and I'll make an athlete out of my DS come h*ll or high water:D:p
Did Insanity again last night. Just with DH last night. He's done most of the workouts maybe has missed 5 out of of the 20 so far. Definitely his type of workouts. DD has joined us quite a few times. DS just did it the once, and declared it harder than Cathe:D:D Everyone thinks they are very hard workouts because of the basic choregraphy (or none really) it's easy for the kids to pick up. They find Cathe hard to follow even things like grapevines are confusing for kids. DH is worried about moving to the next set of workouts as they get longer and more intense:confused::confused: I'm finding this first set getting to me not quite as daunting.
Now the plan in the guide is
4 weeks of workouts
1 week using the recovery dvd every day:rolleyes:
4 weeks of different workouts.
I'm trying to decide what to do as we finish week 4 on Sunday. Then have 1 full week till we leave for Disney seems silly to do a recovery week and then leave for 9 days. I'm thinking of going right into the second month/first week with out recovery and then take our recovery week as our Disney week. Then when we get back maybe do the recovery week dvd a couple of days to ease back into things. I'm kind of worried about overdoing things but I guess I'll just monitor the PF and fatigue closely.
Laurie, are you thinking STS, Jillian rotation and then Insanity?? Good luck with the teenage driver! That's got to be a little nerve wracking at times.
Patricia How is ds liking the hockey??
Morning Coolers
No w/o for me last night after hockey. I p/u a new book and that was the it for me the rest of the night:p I will get in Sculpt 1 tonight though - I never seem to miss my weight workouts, just my cardio:eek:
Kim - DS is enjoying it but sometimes I also think he gets bored from the "drills" they have them do but the time goes by fast. They introduced tennis balls this week so I think he finds that fun. I think your plan sounds great. Funny how vacations interfer with our w/os.
Morning Coolers,
This morning was only a 2.5 mile run on my TM, can't wait for the sun to get up a little earlier again. :D It is just way to dark to head out. Narrow country roads in my area! :( Hopefully when I get home I can get in some yoga, I was thinking of trying out Tony's One on One Fountain of Youth. ;)
Patricia, Oh I sure do LOVE :mad: when my youngest DD "plays" with my equipment. Thankfully she has not done to much damage, but my green tubing from my Barry's is just a littl shorter from her cutting a snip of the end. And of course my stability ball has been bounced around way to much! :D I have found that warm-ups have been getting shorter and shorter in alot of DVD's lately. :rolleyes:
Kim, I think my youngest would probably have fun working out with me and Shaun! :D After I am finished with Meso 3 (ends 12/27), I plan on doing a Jillian rotation in January, and then start Insanity in February. Then after Insanity I plan on using STS again. I'm such a planner! :rolleyes:
Have a great day!
Evening Coolers
I did Sculpt 1 tonight so 3 weeks finished of AHB. Finally got around to filing about 2 months worth of bills/paperwork. I have to go through it all and start shredding some of it soon. Just finished watching Survivor. Tribal Councils have been really exciting this season.
