This morning was P90X Legs & Back.

Youngest DD had a choir concert last night, and it was an all girl group. They did a great job on all their songs, but the last one Carol of the Bells was so good it almost received a standing ovation. You hear this song all the time during Christmas, and they very easily could have recorded that one.

Okay, I accidentally deleted my post and don't feel like retyping it. We're home safe and sound but tired!

I posted some pictures in my profile. Did pics right away as I want to use the Santa one for a Christmas card.

Thawing out my Cathe dvds as they have been in the mailbox and it's -20 here. :( Patricia, I hear that you're getting lots of snow this weekend! Saw the GTA news on the plane.

Laurie, I bet the concert was awesome! Is it a school or church choir? DD has her Christmas piano recital and she hasn't practiced all week,:eek:

Tried out High Reps today, enjoyed it. The ab section was hard, couldn't do a lot of it!
 
Good snowy morning All

Nope, we got RAIN on Sunday but woke up to some snow today. The GTA has gotten off lightly but the north of us keeps getting hit!

Sat. we worked in the basement. DH finished up the plumbing for the powder room while I carried buckets of broken up concrete out to the truck. He refilled the holes with new concrete so now some of the "worst" of the work is done. We also had company over for dinner.

Yesterday was our company Children's Xmas party at a local conservation. Wagon ride and crafts and such. Our butts got wet from the ride:eek: but didn't want to DS to miss out on it. We also dropped in at an old employer close by who I hadn't seen in several years.

I don't think I've worked out since last Sunday. I want to get to High Reps tonight.

Kim - glad to hear you're back safe and sound. Off to look at the pics.
 
Morning Coolers,

This morning starts my last week of the P90X weight workout. Today was Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. Not my favorite workout, so was very happy that it is done. Still have to get in an ab workout after work, just don't know which one yet. Saturday I did 10 Minute Solutions Knockout Body with weighted gloves.

Kim, Must have been quite a shock to go from such warm weather to the cold again. :confused: We didn't get a lot of snow, we had rain most of Saturday. Then it turn to snow, so we have some slippery conditions around here right now. It is also very very cold. :p

Patricia, Sounds like you where doing a workout on Saturday with all that concrete hauling you did. ;) To bad it was wet for the party, but sounds like it was fun anyway.

Very cold here! -30 today but bright and sunny. I'll take the cold over freezing rain and slippery roads! It was about a 55 degree temperature change for us:cool:

Just tried Intensity tonight. DH did it with me, I was surprised that he wanted to try the step section. He did well! I really liked this workout, definitely my style of workout, I can see using this workout often.

Patricia, you're keeping busy! You sure didn't waste anytime getting the basement started. I still can't believe how fast, your whole move to a new house was! Did you get HRs done? How was Medival Times?

So Laurie, are you going to be sad to say goodby to Tony? I asked DH tonight if he missed Shaun T and he said no:D Are you going to try the new Cathe workouts afterwards? Do your girls get a couple of weeks off at Christmas?

We have really cold weather around here again. It can warm up just a little bit. :eek: Last night my ab workout was BBC Fat Blaster Abs. This morning I didn't want to do an Insanity workout, so I did Jillian's BFBM. I really do like that one when I'm in that not wanting to get out of bed mood. :D

Kim, That is really a big temp drop! :eek: Yes I'm ready to move on from Tony, even though I'm not sick of seeing him. That is a good thing, the other times I have done rounds I was not wanting to see Tony's face for months. :D I'm going to try to fit in some of the new Cathe workouts, but I'm doing the STS weight workouts so the roation I created doesn't have a lot of room for other total body weight workouts. Will see how it goes. Glad you enjoyed Intensity, I know that I can probably get that one and the leg workout in.

Patricia, Hope all is well with you, and you are enjoying working out in that new space?

Evening Coolers

Just finished High Reps. Really enjoyed that one. Cathe moves on to different moves quickly so you don't feel bored and also can lift a bit heavier due to the variety I think.

I was asleep early last night so no w/o. I feel a cold coming back on. I was suppose to donate blood today but even though my iron levels were good the nurse denied me until I can keep my iron levels up with out supplements - i.e. get my iron via my food:(

Laurie - my bedroom is a bit crowded so I'll be glad to get my w/o room back. That's not going to happen I'm sure until the spring. How can you resist trying new w/os. Great will power in sticking to your rotation. As you can tell I don't stick to one for very long:p:p

Kim - we're not quite that cold but I pulled my fur coat out this week:D Have you been to Medieval Times b/4? This is about my 3rd or 4th. It's fun once for an adult. I'll have to take DS eventually I'm sure! You have to start working on DH now for finishing the basement. Convince him he could have a man cave if you got a workout cave too!:D

Off to p/u the mail. A xmas present I ordered should be in.
 
Having another lazy night tonight just feeling really tired and headachy the last couple of days. Glad that I'm not on any rotation so I can just work out at my leisure.

Hope you're feeling better Patricia! You've had trouble with the iron levels before haven't you?

The builder is finishing our basement so it'll be done when we move in. THere will be a workout area, a tv area and ds's bedroom.

DH and I went to Medieval Times in Florida years ago. I've never took the kids though.

Tomorrow is my staff Christmas party.

Was a lazy day for me yesterday, I stayed up late reading so didn't want to get up at my usual time. Also had to get the girls going for school yesterday because DH was in Ohio. This morning was P90X Back & Biceps for the last time. I'm not sure if I want to do the last Leg & Back workout, not really feeling the pull-up love right now. Might opt for CTX Leaner Legs.

Patricia, Remember I'm a woman who loves her rotations, and it is hard for me to give them up. But I have been know to do that when the rotation just isn't making me happy. :eek: That is great the Hight Reps is a workout that you can increase the weights in. That is one of the things about her others that I have a hard time with. Hope you are not getting a cold.

Kim, Not to much longer and you will be in your new house! That is so exciting. Hope you are not getting a cold either.

I think Kim and I are on the same wave length this week. I feel like I'm fighting a cold again:( Wed. I started the WU of Intensity and after about 2min I said FORGET it. I watched Survivor instead and wrapped Xmas gifts for 2 hours though:) Last night we had workmen in the house and I just didn't have time to fit it all in either. Oh well. Sometimes a break is good!

We have drywall studs up now, and just need to get DH's brother who is an electrician over to help wire. All the drywall is in the basement now but can't install it until the wiring is done. I'm not sure how much more progress will happen with Xmas so close.

Kim - thats great that the basement will be done. Just move in and relax!

Laurie - instead of Leaner Legs you should really try the new Lower Leg Blast.

Only a half day of work for me today, so I need to get my butt going on the pile of paper on my desk. :D This morning I did Brian Kest's Power Yoga, and did the Energize workout on that DVD. That one is actually a good workout, but I tend to forget that DVD and now I will have to pull it out more often.

Patricia, Well you are right I should probably try out that Leg Blast workout. I will see how I feel tomorrow morning while looking at all my DVD's. :D Maybe I should look at the clips, and that will get me motivated. I take it you where not in the mood for Intensity? ;)

So Laurie, I got in the mood for Intensity last night!:p I did the premix Step and Hiit Low one - just the right amount of intensity for me:D

I've been up since 6am - even when DS is under the weather he NEVER sleeps in:( Anyhow, waiting for BIL to come over for breakfast and work in the basement. I'm going to try and get STS TB in this afternoon sometime.
 
I did STS TB today too Patricia! i'm really feeling it in my quads already! I've found all the new workouts very intense but I've also been very low energy this week so maybe they're not as hard as I think. This whole week I've just felt very tired lots of things going around the hospital so maybe my body was fitting off something.

Was this the first time you did STS TB? How did you like it?
Did you try the new leg one Laurie? I'm planning on trying that one tomorrow.

Swimming lessons are over, and the piano teacher was sick today so got lots of home time to do errands/housework this morning and dd and I spent the afternoon making Christmas cookies. I wasn't planning on doing any but she was asking. I made the dough, put them in oven, and cleaned. She cut out the shapes and decorated them. She has way more patience then me! She loves that kind of stuff. I like baking but nothing fussy but she loved it!
 
Well, Step Blast done today.

Kim - I hear ya on the low energy - skipped the Blast Challenge - well lets remember too I don't have much enery in the a.m. anyhow:p I've done STS TB 2x now and my hamstrings are talking to me today. It sure moves fast. I can see where I might utilize the premix of doing each tri-set 1x when I'm short on time. I get my Turbo tower out for it but it's only really used for chest work. I can see where you really don't need it. I am using though for the Pushups though too. I really like how she mixes in the resistance band work too. Funny how the kids push us to do all the trappings at the holiday's. Have fun with the Lower Leg Blast (insert evil laugh):);):p
 
Lower Body Blast done! I really liked this workout as well. I've liked them except not so sure of STS Total Body. Going to try to give them all another try this week.

Going to head over to the new house after lunch, the workmen were sure busy working all week so want to see what they were up to. The kids and I stopped once after school but one guy said he didn't think it was safe for us to come in as there was a lot of guys working.

Ds's youth curling league is having a parent vs. kid game today. I've never curled in my life! A co-worker lent me a broom and slider so I guess I'll give it a try:eek:

paticia, I just ended up doing the chest presses/flys on the floor as that's the only reason she uses the step (and tower which I don't have) worked fine and I didn't have to get out the step. When I first previewed this workout I was rolling my eyes at the amount of equipment they have going on. I think I went to heavy at the beginning of STS TB (trying to follow the workout card) and it went downhill from there.

Everyone done their Christmas shopping?
 
Morning Ladies,

Well that was one busy weekend! :rolleyes: I did manage to get my sugar cut out cookies and gingerbread men bakes, still need to get them decorated. Hope to get that done tonight.

Saturday my workouts where Leaner Legs & Abs (I looked at the new workout, but naw! :eek:), 4DS Kickbox / CTX Kicbox cardio only. Sunday was a rest day. This morning starts my recovery week, and it was nice to do Insanity Cardio Core & Balance after walking the mall all afternoon yesterday. ;)

Patricia, Glad you where able to try out that Intensity workout, so far that is the only one I have tried a portion of.

Kim, I like the baking and eating part of making the cut out cookies. The decorating is going to be a pain for me, but the girls seem to enjoy themselves. I'm one of those that dips the cookie in the icing, and then shake some sprinkles on them. :D At least the gingerbread men will just be white icing. :D

Morning Coolers

Man, am I freezing at work today:mad::mad: It's hard to type my hands are sooo cold.

Anyhow, DS has been fighting a cold for 3 weeks now so I decided after dinner to take him to the walk-in. Well, 2.5hrs later (8:30pm) finally see the dr. Just a cold but I was worried as he doesn't have an appetite and his day-care provider has pneumonia, her DH has bronchitis and their son who DS hangs out with all day is sick too. So just wanted to get his check listened to just in case. Anyhow, just a cold but a "waste" of an evening.

Tonight is suppose to be 4DS and legs.

Sounds like everyone is into the sweets! Work work work them off!:D
 
Well, a nice and easy day. At 3 was our dep't secret santa exchange along with munchies and drinks. No more work got done after that! My last 2 work days should be pretty relaxed at this point. If it "ain't" done now it's not getting done:D:D:D

Just did 4DS KB, legs and core.

Off to relax and read.
