Thanks for sharing. Nancy, I am not offended at all. Dave and I both were upset by his attitude and Dave felt that I needed to go see someone else and even suggested a female GYN also. Thank you both for sharing what you know. MUCH appreciated!

That really gives me hope! I will say a prayer that you are able to hold out til menopause in hopes that they subside. Thanks for relaying your Dr's. thoughts also.

I would think long and hard about surgery also. Especially since menopause is right around the corner. Your doctor is talking extreme measures so early in the game. I would have to wonder why.

If you think that is extreme, get this! I am going to copy & paste what I just wrote to my friend:

I am trying to stay calm about this. I got a call from my GYN's office today setting up my ultrasound and she said since she had me on the phone she would go ahead and explain the prep and procedure for my surgery!!! I said, we don't even have a diagnosis yet! She said that the Dr. has me down for a hysterectomy and also BOS. (I think that is what she called it.) I asked what BOS was and she said possible removal of ovaries too. I just told her that this was much too fast and we aren't even certain what is wrong. It blew me away! I was just ready to leave to teach my class and it had me quite shook up to say the least. I AM def going for another opinion AFTER my ultrasound and see what they say. I MAY even go for three! OH BOY! Like I said, I'm trying to stay calm but this truly upset me. I feel like he's putting the cart before the horse, ya' know. Thanks for your well wishes. They mean a lot. I'll keep you posted. We move tomorrow and Wednesday so I will be without a computer til probably Friday. But, I'll be baaack! :7

Mama D, i am so sorry you are going through this! Talk about bad timing too! You are wise to get several opinions before making such a big decision. Godd luck with the move! You got my thoughts and prayers too! and of course, a HUGE hug:) Try not to worry!

Bad timing is right! I will survive! I am just rather annoyed that he is reacting sooo fast with MY body I guess. Thanks for the thoughts & prayers! That HUG came at just the right time!
