Cool Site: Polar Exercise Diary

I was checking out the new Polar heart rate monitors (don't really need a new one, but was "window shopping"). Anyway, I stumbled upon the following site:

https://www.polarfitnesstrainer.com/

Check it out! You can input your workouts, and if you have a Polar (or other) heart rate monitor, you can track: exercise time, max heart rate, average heart rate, time spent in up to 3 heart rate zones, and total calories burned. It shows you weekly/monthly progress, along with some pretty cool graphical features.

Sorry if this site has been posted before... I don't recall seeing it.

Thanks! Didn't know this existed--I'm going to try this site and see how I like it (and how I like the OwnZone program I set up).

I am just getting familar with it myself. Got an F11 for Christmas and have been able to download once. today it wouldn't download, so I will have to try later.

Jean, do you need special equipment to get it to download? I started looking into it, then had to run. I don't have an infrared port on my comp, if that's what it takes, but I do have one on my PDA...

Mine works on my Dell computer with a microphone. You have to install the Polar Up Link softwear from the polarfitnesstrainer site. If I remberber right, that is where you list what model you have, serial number etc. (You need a PC, I couldn't get the install to work on my Mac Computer) Once you have installed it you can send data from your watch unit by way of the microphone. For example I pull up Polar Up Link, click continue until it says "listening" from the File section on my watch unit I click the arrow down until it says send and click OK when the unit is by the microphone. It makes some clicky noises(you can tell I'm not a very technical person) and the computer shows it loading. When complete the computer will show 10 files have been loaded.(or however many it sent) Then you can see you workout on the website. Not all models of Polar have the upload feature. I have only uploaded twice since Christmas and am still trying to figure out how to use the stored data as part of my weight loss program. Just seeing the number of calories burned on a calender format is very interesting to me. The rest I will learn as I use it more.

Thanks! The BF's comp has a mic, so I will see if I can get it to work there. I didn't think the F11 has an upload feature, though the polar site listed it as having that.
