Controlling the Damage on TUESDAY!

Good Morning!

I tried posting a little while ago but the computer froze up on my and I had to shut it down. I will have to make this short and sweet b/c I want to get my workout started. I didn't sleep in this a.m so I should have plenty of time to get a good workout in!

Wendy** Did you decide what workout you are going to do today?? Im sure you will come up with something!

Jacque** DS did sleep between DD and I. But all he has to do it sit up and then sleep on the opposite end of the bed...then he would probably fall off. He fell off once before when he was 10 months old so I guess thats why I am nervous. It wasn't pretty b/c I was due to go back to work the following morning. Im not sure if I was crying cause he fell, or b/c I had to leave him! LOL

No workout to report last night. I fell asleep with DS and didn't get up until after 9. I then had to go pick DD up and call my sister back. She as been doing Insanity for 2 weeks now and has lost 6 lbs already!

I will bbl to report my workout!

Good Morning Girls!

I have decided to do Jackie Warner's new vid Power Circuit this morning but I will go heavier with the weights then I did last time. I want more killer DOMS like I got from Jillian tmrw morning! ;) I really want to do more SS work outs but they are a solid hour long + and probably not a wise thing to get into with the new EARLIER weekday morning schedule coming up soon! Perhaps I can throw them into the mix as weekend only work outs though...

I don't know what's up with me but the scale is going up up up the past several days. :confused: It's going up too fast to be real weight but if I don't put the kibosh on it, it will become REAL weight! I got lazy and stopped logging my food in spark people a few weeks ago. I think I need to start that up again. I have also been having a drink or two almost every night for several days now. That probably isn't helping either. :( Gotta get my arse back in gear before I am very sorry! :eek:

Diana:: So did you try MMA Fusion y'day and if so, what did you think? Yeah, I guess it's possible that I'll move closer to the new job one day. It's really not that far of a commute but I am not sure how the traffic will be. I used to make monster commutes to Jersey City and Newark though so I am sure in comparison, this will be a piece of cake! LOL So are you happy to have DS1 back home with you? :)

Jacque:: Let us know how the doc appointment goes! I would probably do 4/10 at work too if it meant a longer weekend!

Lori:: What work out did you do this morning? Congrats to your sis with the Insanity results! Those work outs ROCK!

Gotta jet...wanna get done exercising a bit earlier today so that I'm not rushing around later like I usually am! :rolleyes:

I have a serious case of Monday morning dread going on here...UGH! 3 day weekends are great but it makes going back to work that much harder! PHHHHBBBBTTTTT~:p

My work out is done! I did Jackie's Power Circuit full body work out omitting abs and then went back and did upper and lower body segments again but w/o the "Power Burn" portion. It took about an hour-the regular full body w/o including abs and power burn is 40 mins. I burned it up pretty good! :D

Time for a shower and some grub!
 
Good Morning Ladies,

We had a pretty good day visiting with DH's aunt, uncle and cousin. DH's uncle is taking everyong to dinner tonight before we all head to my niece's basketball game. I can't make it to dinner but I will be at the game.

Yesterday I did MMA Fusion before going to brunch and then Disc 7 (CST) when we got home in the afternoon. I actually went up on weight for few exercises. I did Chest flyes with 30#'s.

This morning will be double wave pyramid and some abs.

Lori-I'm glad to hear you finally took a rest day, even if it was unintentional. Our bodies need a break every now and then. I too lost 6#'s in 2 weeks with insanity. I didn't lose anymore after that though.

Wendy-I really liked MMA Fusion. It wasn't much of a calorie burner though but I'm sure the calorie burn would go up once I learned the moves and could do it straight through. I liked this one more than the kickboxing I think. I do enjoy having DS1 here. We hope to help him get back on his feet and then I suspect he will move back to Oregon to be near his girls. Because he signed a lease and they are unable to rent his apt., he will have to continue to pay rent for the remainder of his lease...4 months left maybe.

Morning ladies !

I posted last night after my workout so not too much to say. Trying to get back into a routine and have done pretty well so far. Had a good night's sleep so I have time to come here before work !

Lori - ahhhh, DS fell off the end of the bed. Now I understand. My DS2 took a header off the end of a low couch onto the carpet when he was about 1 1/2 and actually stopped breathing so I had to call 911. We had to hit the emergency room and I had a 3 yr old at the time with a travelling DH. This was right after we moved to the city where we are now. That was a fun morning too ! Hope you get a goodie workout in today - though as Diana said, you don't take many rest days any way.

Wendy - So I'm guessing you use more # than Jillian to get DOMS from her workouts? Hope you get your DOMS today too ! Sounds like you worked hard for them. :p Now that I'm working out again I am putting on a few also - I'm getting hungry again. I hate logging but may be there soon if this continues. Funny that you can eat the same amount, workout and put on #s. Now that I am hungry I am probably eating closer to what I need to but am still gaining. Guess it will take a little while to adjust? (Sure hope so !) Have a good last few days at your job before beginning the new one.

Diana - nice to hear your visit went well and you worked out twice ! You are my hero doing 30# for flyes. 25# makes my arms feel like they will break off at the sholder joints. I have to "curve" them at the elbow. I do have a nice burn from them the other day thoug ! :p Haven't done Fusion yet either - I'm not finding the time/energy to do doubles yet. Sorry to hear DS got stuck in a lease, but sounds like he will be back on his feet with your help. Good for you !

Time to skeedaddle - enjoy the day. I'll be fighting lots of rain and wind today - TG I am not commuting yet !
 
Hi Girls!

Its lunch time! Woo Hoo! I made it without pigging out! I didn't tell you guys that yesterdays eating wasn't very good. I didn't eat big portions but I was picking at sweets ALLLLL day! No joke! Even when I got gas on the way home I picked up 2 bags of candy and 2 huge bars. Im not sure what my intentions were with them. So my goal today was to lay off the sweets! I must have been lacking something yesterday.

My workout today was done in peace and quiet. DS decided to join DD and I again last night but he was awake for a while so he slept in. He didn't get up until 8:30 and my workout was over with then. I did 5 miles on the TM and double wave. Good workout. Hopefully tonight I will get disc 7 in. If not Im gonna have to cram alot of workouts in the next few days.

Wendy** Are you getting excited about the new job? Nervous a little? We haven't heard anything about our jobs yet. It is getting kind of annoying. I know they said that we are all safe but we will still like to know whats on the go. What about if they changed their minds? Anything could have happened. You and the scale...tut-tut! You gotta stop eating in the night time (or drinking, same thing) the scale will go down for you then!

Diana** I didn't take a rest day yesterday, just didn't do all that I wanted to. I wanted to do weights last night but didn't fit it in. I ran in the a.m. I don't own any 30 lbs db's. I feel like my arms are gonna fall off when I lift to heavy for flies. Are you sore today?

Jacque** Yes...DS fell off the bed. And it was the same day that my mother arrived and said "why is there a bump on his head"? Of course she had preached to us a million x's not to have him in bed with us so then I had to listen to the "I told you so's" :mad: It was not a good morning at all! I felt awful! So I don't like leaving him there for to long.

Hello ladies!

Well .. I left FRI from work w/killer headache that turned into a raging migraine .. YUP .. spent most of the weekend in PAIN .. yesterday was good though ... I did manage to get MMA Boxing done .. SIL and I did it .. :) .. OK . . I got major DOMS from it .. WTH? my lats and ribcage mainly .. SIL is dying .. she cant hardly move .. her shoulders, lats and ribcage .. I wasnt expecting DOMS ... :confused: :) .. great workout .. and fun too ... my HR monitor said I burned 400 calories :D .. tonight will be the first time I wear it in my class .. PLYO class tonight .. should be interesting to see how my workouts compare to Cathe's !!!

SIL and I repeated disc 1 at lunch today .. we were such wimps last week we wanted to repeat it .. it went better today .. but I FF thru pushups b/c my plyo class has loads of planks and pushups in it .. SIL too sore to do a lot of it .. LOL .. since she has lost most of her upper body muscle she is struggling doing weights!!!

Wendy .. when do you start the new job??? did I miss that ...I had in my head today .. but guess not ..

Lori .. kudos for your sister on the weight loss .. I didnt loose anything w/Insanity :( only gained some calf endurance and muscle .. my body responds better to weights or a combo of weights and cardio ..

Jacque .. are you getting the rain they keep talking about CA getting?? hoping your not in mudslide danger!!! Be careful!! how is the getting back into workout routine going for ya?? For me my body is in shock for sure .. and I am in shock that I am struggling so for just a little bit of skimping on w/os!! :( :mad:

Di .. MMA Fusion was actually a good calorie burn for me .. my monitor said 388 or so ... I LOVED that workout ..but it did leave me w/major hamstrings DOMS .. big time!! those dang kick - plank run - kicks is the culprit!!!

Hello to Jen ..

OK .. gotta run ... we finally have sunshine .. and high of 67 .. and it is GORGEOUS .. just one more reminder that bathing suit season is right around the corner .. :confused: :( .. gotta get my arse in gear .. big time!!! ...have a great one .. and great sweaty workouts!!
