contacts for astigmatism

Hi! I have just found the greatest pair of contact lenses ever! I have tried soft, gas-perm (ouch), the list goes on, and recently tried Bausch & Lomb PureVision Toric. They are so comfortable! I have a weak astigmatism and usually didn't even bother getting contact lenses that corrected for it, but now I can see! Just thought I would pass the word along. I realize it's kind of a personal thing, so take my recommendation for what it's worth. I have always been envious of people who could wear their contacts all day. Now I actually think I could too.

Regards!

I'm glad you are enjoying your PureVision contacts. They are new to the market and we are having great success with them.

Thanks for posting this. I also have this problem and have been hoping to find an answer. I will mention these the next time I see my eye doc!!

Another vote for these lenses. Both my DDs and I wear contacts and one of my DDs required toric lenses. We got them a month ago and she loves them and notices a tremendous difference. They do cost more, but we just tighten up the budget somewhere else because good eye care/vision is nothing to ignore.

This is so awesome! I haven't worn contacts in six years because of this problem. DD and myself both have to have toric lenses. I have to go to the dr. soon so I know what I'm going to get! thanks so much for the post!

So, can anyone with a stigmatism wear these new contacts? I have a stgmatism in both of my eyes, which has required hard contacts, which are very hard on the eyes!

I would love to go for a softer pair, as I do not even wear the hard ones they drive me crazy?

I don't know, but it would certainly be worth your while to ask your eye doctor. I really like them! Mine are so comfortable that sometimes I catch myself going to push my glasses up and then I realize that I don't have on my glasses! Good luck!
