Ok, I'm in the store and I'm in a bit of a rush so I'm not taking time to read lables (yeah I know), but anyway I see the dinner turkey sausages that says only 10% fat. I think to myself, 'Hey, cool.' so I go ahead and grab them.
I'm at home putting stuff away and I take a peak at the nutritional lable of these 'lean' sausages and my jaw drops! They are 160 calories a serving with 10 Grams of fat a serving. That's 90 calories from fat and well...you do the math.
Those sausages are over 50% fat yet the front lable says 10%fat. My question is what does that 10% fat on the front lable stand for? It sure can't be for the sausages.
Any dietitians or nutritionalist out there who can help me out?
Thanks,
DeeDee
