Help! We are temporarily living in Florida in an Apartment Complex and in Michigan I could watch my shows that I missed online. Well now I try to do that and am constantly am getting kicked off because too many people apparently are logged in. When I finally do get on to watch, the commercials are fine but the shows have lines all through it and the show starts stops stops atarts, its like slow motion. I know when this system was first going I watched no problem I don't know why I can not watch now. Is there something I need to adjust or download to watch my shows?

Thank you for any advice you offer I think this is my system 3200+ AMD Athion XP processor
512 MC PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory
160GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA hard drive
Hope that helps some.

Not a computer expert by any means but what comes to mind is something we have at home:

We have a computer on DSL and I can stream in very quickly (it "buffers" fast), but when I use the computer hooked up to a dial up it goes very slow and gets stuck (the buffering is very very slow).

So my question to you would be did you change from DSL or a high speed to a dial up connection?

If not, I have no clue.

dsl-dial up

I believe so. We are down here working at home we had Comcast and here we are on a wireless network Linksys (?) does that sound familiar? Is there anything that I can download or change to make it speed up?

Which kind of connection do you have? Is it DSL or dial-up? (They are two different things.) DSL is usually pretty fast, although depending on your area it can be slower than where you were before. Dial up is slow, and there is very little you can do to speed it up enough to watch video very well. Linksys is probably the brand of your router or modem, not the connection itself. What company is your ISP?

If you do have DSL, one thing to try would be to connect directly to your DSL without using the wireless router to see if that is the problem. If the connection is fast without the wireless, then the wireless router is your problem. If the connection is still slow when you're connected directly to the internet, then the problem lies with the DSL. If you have a slow connection, you will probably have to get in touch with your ISP to figure out where the problem is.

Ok so I finally am able to get back into the system. Yes I am sorry the Linksys is the wireless and I do need it to get onto the computer we do not have phone lines. The funny thing is I was able to watch The Terminator Chronicles with no problems. For some reason it is the ABC shows only. Young and the Restless was ok too its CBS.

Now I am even more confused.

I really am thinking of taking computer classes next year when my last youngin is in school full-time.
