Complex Carb suggestions after workout

Hi Everyone,

I just read in a fitness mag how important it is to restore your energy levels with a complex carb within 1 hr. after training. I usually just have a scoop of whey protein mixed w/ water. Would a small amount of steel cut oatmeal with protein powder be better? How about a Nitrotech bar? Do the bars have complex carbs? Is ON whey protein and Isopure protein good prot. powders?

Any suggestions?

I have always focused on what will help my muscles to recover after a hard workout, not my energy levels. I have some protein powder in a fruit smoothie 30 minutes after working out. I think any protein powder you like is good. I use soy as I am a Vegan, but just use one that you like the taste of...:)...Carole
