Cathe,
Let me start by saying I love your videos and think you are amazing. I stumbled upon you by accident. Your beginner dvd came with the beginner step I bought at wal-mart on a whim (because I had gained too much weight in my second pregnancy and could no longer run in my neighborhood without falling - so pathetic - so I had to try something else). It is over three years from then and I have a "real" step a high step and various other dumbells, bands, etc. I have used your videos (the ones I could afford) and loved them. You seem very genuine and do great work.
That is the short version, but I guess it covers the beginning (keep in mind, I could go on about you for a long time - I tell everyone about your vidoes and even my husband thinks you are awesome).
Anyway, to my question. . . I have a friend who lost a BUNCH (around 200lbs) of weight on Beachbody work-outs. He swears by them. He even won a whole bunch of money for it and now is a beachbody coach. The beachbody program seems rather interesting, but. . . it seems like another gimmick. The work-out videos he suggests are INSANITY or P90X. They have amazing transformation pictures and stories but. . . can't your videos do that too? For about $150 I could get the Insanity series (I think - if I read the fine print correctly) and it is something like 12 or 15 work-outs designed to help you loose weight and sculpt quickly I guess. What I'm trying to say is, how are your videos different/better? Losing weight quickly is appealing but also frightening. . . why should it stay off if it goes so quickly? I realize you have several different series' and I am not familiar with a lot of your current work as I am on a limited budget but surely you are familiar with some of the other fitness material out there. Can you shed some light on this?
P.S. I might just be confused because although I have been fairly religous in my working out with my limited collection of your dvds and have noticed a general fitness level it has not been so extreme as these other programs boast. Perhaps I did not push myself enough? Perhaps I did not have quite enough material to do what I wanted? Perhaps I should have focused more on diet along with the exercise? Perhaps the fact that I have in these past 3+years had another child and am currently about 23 weeks pregnant wtih my fourth have something to do with this as well.
Thanks in advance.
