COMMIT TO GET FIT & LEAN FOR JAN 30, 2011

Good Morning!

Quick check in for me but I plan on coming back later to catch up. I read through your responses yesterday with my "canceling" situation and I was faced with the same problem again yesterday morning. My 10:30 didn't show up and when I called her she said she couldn't find my number and that she was hungover! I was soooo mad! So DH and I talked about what we need to have in place for these kinds of situations. I am not mad about the $ I lose...I was mad about the fact that my time is important right now. I have alot of *hit going on around me constently. DH takes time off of work to help me out and then people just don't show? Not cool. He said that I am making it to easy for them not to show up b/c they don't lose anything. So I am leaning towards writing them all letters, along with a liability release form, requiring them to pay up front for a week and if they don't give me 24 hours notice then they lose their $. That should ween out the ones who aren't serious about this so that I can take on others that are. Between my friend who canceled 3 x's last week and then this lady along with her friend who comes with her, canceled 2 x's.

Yesterdays workout was 20 mins on the TM, just 5 mins on the bike, MMA UB combos only and abs. My shoulders and bics are really feeling it today:eek:. I think today will be a run and LB. I am getting some good weight workouts in lately which is surprising with my schedule. I am also hoping to clue up the first chapter in my book! Then I can move in to #2!

I will bbl!

Lori:)

Hi ladies,

I am done with CCPP, ran over 5 miles! I still have to get my ab wo in today.

Lori - great job yesterday. Enjoy your workout today. I am always impressed with your worouts:eek:

Hallo to the rest of the gang!

Have a great Sunday~!

Morning!
Had a great time yesterday. It was so much fun and I don't think I've laughed so much ever. You know the expression, it takes a village to raise a child, well this was one of our village's child, so it was wonderful to have her marry such a great guy. He's lucky.
Okay, did yoga meltdown again today with lowmax. Almost caught up on the Jan rotation, still need to get in ccc and Imax 2. Supposed to go snowshoeing in a bit. My legs are already fried.
Belinda, let me know what you think of the Bob Harper dvd. Which one is it? Sounds like you'll certainly be able to keep up with your wo while on the road. Perhaps an updated version of Cathe's circuit city might be what you're interested in.
Deb, animals are amazingly perceptive, aren't they? Sometimes I wish some people I know could be more that way. Went with a pair of mules and got lots of compliments, but my feet got soaking wet walking from the car to my house when we got home. At least I was already home. I'm gonna have to shovel before snowshoeing. A gutter fell off the house and an incredible amount of snow and ice which was on the roof feel also, almost all near my car. I'll think of you as I'm aspiring to your arms of steel.
Amelia, that's so great you and Belinda will get to meet up. I'd love to meet both of you. Ok, if you sold Shred, I'm guessing you weren't that crazy about it. Don't know why I'm even thinking of getting any more dvds, dh is on a roll about us spending so much.
Kristin, Ii was wondering when you managed to do grading and school paperwork. I feel constantly innundated with it. How was last evening.
Melissa, glad the chem test went well. Enjoy the birthday party.
Trish, are you buried under that snow?
Helene, are you out sledding?
Iris, hope you're sweating at your camp.
Heidi, how are you doing?
Lori, I'd be so pissed. Wasting time is aggravating. Good idea on having them sign an agreement. Hope it works.

Hello all,

This past week didn't turn out as I wanted. I was wiped and had a ton of work. Didn't get to workout like I wanted. So now I'm a week behind on the Jan rotation . Should go check what it looks like, but I think it was good so I want to finish it out. I'll start tomorrow with Imax original which is in week 3.

Cookie: Speaking of new DVDs. I got JM shred it with weights and some cheap kettlebells. I've wanted to try them for a while. I did the level 1 workout and it was nice and not too intense but I still started sweating by the end. I think it will be a good wo for me when I have no energy.

Lori: Same here. It would be the waste of my precious time that would really piss me off. I guess that's the problem with training friends too. They feel like they don't have to take it seriously maybe? By the way  on the miles.

Belinda: I'll try and think of DVD that would be good. But it sounds to me that good sneaks and a lot of running would be great. Maybe you can find a fitness trail.

OK, so my first kettlebell this morn, JM shred it with weights which I followed with Step Moves. Turned into a good wo.

Probably sledding this afternoon.

Hope to catch up later on the rest of personals. Have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon,

Lori-wow, i would be pissed to and I think sending out a letter and getting the money up front would definitely change that problem. Good choice! Are you going to work at a gym once you've completed your certification?

Cookie-Glad to hear you had a good time yesterday. On yoga meltdown; are you doing level 1 or 2? I haven't even preview level two yet because level one is 'something to work up to' Awesome job on your workouts!!

Helene-How did you like the kettlebell workout? I've thought about getting some w/dvd's too, but thats 'more' workout equipment i will have to find a place for?

Belinda-Sounds like a plan in May, I told my DH and he will have to drive since i hate driving in Atlanta,LOL. Actually, it might end up being all 4of us since its hard to find a babysitter these days:eek: oh well, the more the merrier eh?!! How was your cardio?

Hello to everyone that follows!!

Today I did a 30min dogwalk and then cardio and weights premix on the original LIS. I was so tired after my walk? Not sure what that was all about...i had to drag myself though the workout. anyways...I'm thinking about going to a Zumba Class thats near here on tuesday evening. The first week is free (2classes a week) then i will have to buy a membership. Will see if I like it.

have a good day:)

Hello everyone!

Just finished AS. The rotation called for AS & MMA Kickbox but I just didn't have the energy to do double WOs today. I did do the elliptical Friday which was supposed to be a rest day so I'm hoping that will make up for being lazy today ;)

Kristin, I was a little iffy on the yoga abs too but that is probably my favorite of the ab circuits. It's just so relaxing! Well right there you can tell the type of "support" this kid gets from home. I can't stand when parents don't step up for their kids. My mom tells me stories all the time about how a good amount of the parents of her kids think it's 100% up to her to keep them on point and a lot of them even COVER for their kids when they cheat, don't do HW, etc. That is infuriating to me! I give you guys so much credit for dealing with that on a regular basis. UGH, I did hear about the snow this week; still no confirmation on how much or exactly when it's coming but I hope it doesn't come at all!!!

Deb, I have mostly day classes. The only evening class I have is physics lecture & lab. They only offered that 1 time so I had to take it. I'm not a fan of nighttime class!

Lori, I was going to suggest something similar to what your husband said. When I was training, I revised the agreement so that they had to give notice 12 hrs in advance (club wanted 24 hrs) or else they had to pay for 1/2 the session. Of course there will be emergency situations but you don't want your clients to think that they can pull this whenever they want without consequences. It's tough enforcing it but at the same time you are running a business so you need to look out for yourself too.

Cookie, glad you had a great time at the wedding!! All the ice hanging off my roof is creeping me out cuz I keep hearing it fall and smash all over the place. I parked under my friend's awning last night since there was no where else to go and I was waiting for an icicle to crash through my windshield

Helene, I always forget about my 30 Day Shred video. I'm not a huge Jillian fan but they would be good on low energy days instead of laying around doing nothing.

Amelia, Zumba is so fun and you use muscles you don't even know you had! Have a great time.

OK, off to type up 2 labs. I have been procrastinating these things for 3 days now. UGHHHHH!

Back again!
Well, today was not as good as I was hoping. Had a major disagreement with eldest son, and it's left me quite upset.
Amelia, I've done 1 and 2, but can't say I'm able to do all of 2. That crow is amazing. Do feel the workouts in my shoulders and abs. Zumba is fun. Let us know what you think.
Helene, 30 Day Shred is good, huh? Hope this week is easier for you.
Melissa, are you are resident meterologist? JK I could use snow for tomorrow. Have a big presentation to give, and am now so bothered I'm having a hard time concentrating to even plan it out.
The girls want me to watch a movie with them to destress. How to Feed Your Dragon or something like that is what I'm off to.
Have a good evening everyone.

Good evening,

Cookie - glad you had fun yesterday. How do you like yoga meltdown? WTG, on LM/yoga today. I bought the entire set on his website, haven't done any yet, lol! I will check out Cathe's circuit city rotation. Sorry, your eldest son upset you today. ((HUGS))) hope things work out!

Helene - hope you get your workout in today. You will catch up on your rotation.

Amelia - don't worry, bringing your kids. We also can meet outside of Atlanta? I have to google where you live, lol. Let you know, ok! Nice going on LIS today.

Melissa - nice job, on AS. You made up for your double wo on Friday! Hope you get some rest.

Good night, ladies!
