Hi and good morning,


Not sure what I will do today? My back still feels good., I think those shots are finaly working. About time! I am still gonna take it easy. It's raining again today, so no outside walking for me today.


Trish, don’t beat yourself up, you will burn those cal. in no time! I think the shots are finally kicking in, about time. My back feels so much better. I can’t wait to get back to my regular wo. How do you rip Cathe’s DVD’s on your ipod? WTG, on your bic/triceps workout yesterday.

Im not sure what im doing today, I was suppose to take a rest day yesterday so i may just do that today. Im kinda tired...didn't sleep very well last night:(

Cookie-Awesome job with Imax2 yesterday, i hope your shoulder feels better today.

Trish-I bet your cheat meal was delish! You deserve it after all your hard work last week. Im still going...today will be a lower calorie day for me. I can't wait to see if im down saturday.

My DH had a drink last night and he kept asking me if i wanted one:mad: i told him to STOP ASKING...he knows i couldn't have one.

Good Morning!

I worked last night and Im not sure why I am up so early!:confused: I just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep...so here I am. Thats o.k though cause I have to go into work this afternoon for a couple of hours and then back to work tonight so in order to get my workout in, I needed to get a earlier start to my day. Im only up 1 hr earlier then normal but Im sure that will make a difference to my day!

Yesterday was a rest day b/c I did 18 kms on sunday. My running partner is working today so I will be packing DS up within the next hr and we get our run over with...I make it sound as if he is doing something;)

When I woke up yesterday I didn't think I had anything to do and boy, did my day ever fill up! I was soooo exhausted by the time I got to sit down but Im promising myself that today won't be like that! Im going to workout, tidy the house, work and make supper...thats it...no extras in there and even when I am at work I plan on doing nothing:rolleyes:

I am trying to decide if I should take the personal trainers course. DH thinks its a good idea. I think it would be something I would really enjoy. In the beginning I guess I would keep working at my job and go from there. Its $1440 which isn't to bad actually. I can make a down payment and then make monthly payments if I want. Its a 9 month course, but I can take as long as I wish to finish it. I guess I will make my mind up in the next couple of days.

Belinda** Enjoy whatever you decide to do today. Happy to hear your back is feeling better!!! I bet you feel alot better!!!

Ameila** Yeah, you may need a rest day if your feeling lazy, unless you just take the dog(s) for a small walk. That may perk you right up

I am going to try and catch up on personals. DH's laptop is actually working in the basement and DS is watching Shamu...AGAIN!

Good Morning Ladies...

No workout this morning....hopefully I will get my run in later tonight. I worked last night and getting ready to get in the shower to go meet my parents at the doctor's. I am learning not to sacrifice the sleep I need just to get up and workout....it defeats the purpose and I'm working on making myself fit my workouts in at other times.

Yesterday I did PLB/PUB Up Only Premixes....another reason I'm waiting to run...my legs and upper body are kinda screaming at me...lol...cuz I pushed it and went heavier seeing that it was up only.

Belinda- I'm so glad your back is better! But please, please use caution.....part of the reason it might be feeling better is not only because of the shots but it's had the rest it needs as well. Hope I"m not raining on your parade. :eek:

Amelia- Why didn't you sleep well??

Lori- Which pt course are you taking?? I have the Ace Home Study...did really well for about 2 months...and then life got busy again...:eek: I really want to complete it at some point! I dont' think this one is timed, I don' tthink I would have done it if it was. If you decide to do it, then maybe we can be accountable to each other for studying!! :p

Cookie- Dang cardio nutso girl...lol...you have such awesome cardio workouts!! Like I said before you are my inspiration for all things cardio! How weird that you said that to your friend the other day.....and it's funny because it's not until just recently (like yesterday) that I've stopped beating myself up for not being married/having kids, being single at 30.....you are absolutely right and I will carry what you said with me!

Deb- Glad you had fun at your reunion!! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. :)

Helened- Nice workout yesterday! I bet you can't wait for your vacation!! Now when are you leaving again?

Trish- Nice workouts this weekend! Hope things are well with you.

Ok BBL....Mom gets bloodwork today and we will be seeing about painkillers for her bones, since that is where she is having the most trouble with the chemo. The exhaustion has completely passed, no nausea at all, but the pain in her bones is still bad enough that she's back on the walker ( like she was after the accident) :( If they can't prescribe her anything stronger than tylenol or ibuprofen, then we will be taking matters into our own hands..............................

Belinda - Happy to hear your back is feeling better. I was going to suggest maybe you should wear a weight training belt when you can start lifting.

Lori - That personal training class sounds perfect for you. Would you work clients out at your home?

Amelia - I had a bunch of nightmares last night so didn't sleep well either:(

Iris - Sleep is just as important as working out.

Helene - It's so difficult to get healthy food at Disney.

Cookie - I hope your shoulder feels better.

I ended up taking a walk with the dogs today, I forgot to take my meds, my back was hurting all afternoon. I also had my first PT today, felt great.

Trish, don’t beat your self up about cheating on the weekend, just eat clean this week. You will be fine. Glad you hit the weights hard yesterday.

Cookie, can’t remember the last time I did Imax 2 Blast Mania? Nice job! My internet did that the other day too. LOL, have to find a way to workout again. I think the back brace will help a lot. Hope your shoulder is feeling better.

Lori, same here! For some reason I kept waking up last night. You deserve to take a brake, good for you.

Afternoon girls,

I can't quite make up my mind what the heck I'm doing now that I'm going to the gym...sigh! Plus, now that school is back in full swing, we are leaving the house an hour earlier which means I have to push my wos up an hour. The last two days I've gotten to bed late and didn't have time for anything in the AM. Then, I skipped the gym today to go to a j.crew sample sale (spent way too much $$:mad:). So, I have one last chance to work out after getting the girls to bed, which of course means I will get to bed late. Oh what a vicious cycyle:p!

Belinda - What kind of shots did the doc give you? Seems to have helped a lot. How was physical therapy today? My eating has been very clean following my cheat so no beating up here;) I actually resisted cake and pizza at a birthday party on Sunday with no problem:)

Amelia - If you're due a rest day, take it. Working out on no sleep is the pits! After your weight loss last week, your body deserves some tlc;) So, having any hunger pains yet?

Lori - I bought all the material to study for the ACE certification (about $400 worth!), but never could find the time to do it. It's still sitting in the box. I think attending a course would help you to stay focused. One of my childhood friends that I found on fb last week opened a gym this spring. I'm so proud of her. Go for it!

Iris - I hope things went well mom and she was able to get a more effective pain killer. Thankfully, my MIL used a pain pump around the clock and had virtually no pain through the whole procedure. How many more chemo sessions is she scheduled for?

Deb - How was the new kickbox class?

Hi Girls!

Todays workout was PH UB and an hour long run outside with DS. For some reason I didn't think it was as bad today. Perhaps I was having a bad day last week when I took him or maybe yesterdays rest day was key. Either way, it was a good workout. I couldn't beleive how much stronger I was since doing STS! I could have easily went heavier with the weights and I didn't even find the pushups that bad.

Weird thing...Canada Post called my house today wondering if I had received my parcel yet b/c it should have been here by now. They have been trying to track it and were suppose to call back. It will probably show up tomorrow OR maybe someone stole my parcel and are sweating buckets...hope it gives them a heart attack:eek: thats what they get for stealing something!:rolleyes:

Belinda** Geez girl...don't forget those meds!! Gotta take 'um! Hopefully they have already kicked in.

Iris** The course I found was a canadian one. I think it was ICS or something like that. I haven't had a chance to read into it today. Of course DH thinks its a great idea. Im just hoping I can tackle the studying again!:confused: But if its something I am interested in, I should be o.k.

Deb** How was your KB class??

Trish** Soooo what did you buy?? Anything good? We don't have J.C around here but I check out the site but wouldn't dare pay $200 for a sweater:eek:

I probably won't be back until tomorrow morning. I don't have to work alnight tonight. I get to go home around 9 woo hoo!!! Gonna get a full nights sleep in my own bed!

Belinda, did you have a cortisone shot? Glad you’re doing better, but please remember to take your pills. I’ve seen those weight lifting belts at sporting goods stores and even Walmart.
Amelia, tell your DH to stop picking on you. Aren’t they annoying – especially when they think they are so funny. Mine is getting on my nerves for a different reason. Knowing that this week was a lot of long days and that I do not like to come home late and then still have to cook, on Sunday I made a menu, went shopping, and then did a lot of prep, chopping and cooking in advance for the week. Since he was getting home earlier than me, this morning I asked him to peel and dice mangoes and to cook brown rice to be ready when my DD and I got home. I even left everything out for him. We get home, and he had just put the water for the rice on to boil and had diced up avocadoes! We just finished dinner a little bit ago and left him to clean up. Oh, I know it’s a small thing in the scheme of life, but you know…
Trish, did you read Iris’s post earlier today about not sacrificing sleep to workout? I think we should take her sage comments to heart. I always forget how exhausting life is in September. Do you?
Deb, how was the kb class? Are you happy with your gym selection? When did you move from Brooklyn to Jersey? Your comments about seeing friends from your younger days reminds me of the wedding reception. That was one of the best parts! We got to see some friends we haven’t seen in a while. One of my friends, who we get together with a couple of times a year, I’ve been friends with since Kindergarten! Yeah, a real long time ago!
Lori, go for it! You’ll be a great personal trainer. Think of the inspiration you’ll be to others. Plus I can already visualize your business card – it has a pink Energizer Bunny on it.
Iris, sorry your mom is in such pain. Does she have a pain management specialist? I never even heard of one until a few years ago. Having one made a huge difference for my MIL. I love the rush from plyo! Really wakes me up and then wears me out good so stress is reduced. Have you ever thought of taking cooking classes? Heard that’s another great way to meet someone. Unless of course you actually want the person to do something - like chop up mangos and cook rice (see my vent to Amelia).
Helene, bet you’ll have a lot of fun in Disney. Can you bring a backpack in with fruit to tie you over between meals. You’ll do a lot of walking and laughing. Sounds wonderful. Haven’t been in a very long time. I always worry about what to eat and how to wo when I travel and don’t know why. I usually don’t get to do all the wo stuff I pack and I always manage to find reasonable food. Of course, it might be more than I want to pay to get.
Took this morning as a rest day. Slept right thru wo time! Can’t remember last time that happened, but I must have needed it. My shoulder feels better now, so SJP is on for tomorrow. It’s loaded in the DVR, the weights and step are all set up, and even my water bottle is filled. Guess I better do it.

Ok, so I decided not to workout tonight, I need to get some sleep. Tomorrow morning will be some form of cardio in the AM and then some weights during lunch tomorrow. Also, hoping to get in to the city early enough to walk to work. I feel like I need a little extra cal burn this week.

Lori - I only got two sweaters and two pairs of wellies, but 7YO DD made out big time...she got 13 sweaters/tops (4 cashmere sweaters for only $30/each!), a coat, wellies and two lightweight jackets. I wish I could find more things for me, but sample sales rarely have medium.

Cookie - Yes ma'am, I did read that and sounds like good advice. As soon as I finish this post I'm off to get a good night's sleep so I can hit it hard tomorrow. Happy dreams!
