Commit to get fit and lean for September 14, 2009

Hi girls,

I am back from the gym. I did CCV 3 on the TreadClimber, burned 580 cal.:p That's what I am talking about! LOL! I was sweating buckets on the TC and the best part, it was low impact! I will use the TC more often from now on, I forgot all about that one. BTW, I posted pic. from our gym on my profile. I was wondering if the stair master is low impact? I almost forgot I did SM, with the ball too!

Ok, I have a meeting! I will be back later!
Have a good one, eveyone!

Morning

Belinda, awesome calorie burn today! i need to google treadclimber and see what it is:confused: ive heard of it but cant remember what it looks like:eek:. I bet that workout really relieved some built up stress...WTG

Edit to add: I just googled it....it looks like a real calorie burner!!!

Were suppose to go do a hike today, but it looks like rain. My rotation calls for a rest day...i may take one and get one of my lower calorie days out of the way;)

ok..bbl.

Good Morning:)

I didn't make it back here yesterday. By the time we got back from our run, it was time to get dinner ready. We did 18 kms:) and it was a awesome run. Then last night we went over to my SIL's house for a couple of drinks.I didnt get to bed until 12:30:eek: Then DS woke up before 7! I made DH get up though. He always gets to sleep in and I have to work tonight.

Belinda** Sounds like you got a goos calorie burn:) You must feel better now. It only takes one good workout for us to start feeling better again.

Ameila** I dont buy the instant oatmeal, there is to much sugar in it...dont get me wrong...I love sugar! But if Im gonna have it,its gonna be in dessert:) Have a good rest day!

Helene** When is your trip to disney? We loooved Fl! We thought about going again this year but I think we are going to cuba without kids instead.

Iris** Hope your mom doesnt have to rough of a time! Good job getting that workout in!

Alright...I will be checking back in again later!

Lori:)

Good morning girls,

I didn't work out all weekend:( but my eating wasn't bad:) Today I'm going to take a spin class and off to work.

The neighborhood reunion was a lot of fun. The actual neighborhood where we grew up is now very run down and a high crime area. I asked my DH to pass by and took pictures of our houses. All my friends pretty much looked the same, just older:eek: Most of my friends never worked out and still don't:confused: they were never into health. It was a lot of fun . . . next time I think we should do it in a park instead of a restaurant. It was difficult to talk to everyone and it went by too quickly. When we were growing up, we would meet everyday in front of someone's house and just hang out and talk for hours. Those were the days:D It's so different than what kids do today.

Belinda - Sounds like you found a great way to get your workouts in:)

Amelia - Enjoy either your rest day or hike today:)

Lori - Wow, Cuba for vacation sounds amazing!

Iris - I've been thinking about you and your Mom.

Helene - When we went to Disney end of August it was really quiet, we were able to get on all the rides without much waiting time:eek:

Cookie - I hope you caught up with sleep this weekend.

Trish - I hope you enjoyed the weather this weekend.

BBL, Have a great day everyone:)

Good morning,

Enjoy your rest day today.

Lori, Wow Cuba! Nice run yesterday.

Iris, prayers are still going out for your mom! How are you holding up, girl?

Debbie, have fun with with your spin class today!

Hi Trish, Cookie and Helene have a great day! I will be back for more personals.

Hello,

Belinda: Wow that IS a nice calorie burn. I'll have to see if any of those machines are at the Y since I just signed up. Glad you found something that seemed appropriate. Did your back feel fine during the exercise? That must have been motivating when you saw the number on the HR monitor!

Amelia: Sounds like you will have a good day either way. How are you doing on the 1400 cal days? Are you not too hungry. I find cycling calories hard, because I always want to eat more the day after the 2000 cal day. But then again, I always want to eat more

Lori: 18kms is a loooooong run! That's awesome. You are going to rock that race. Good going on having DH get up this morning. Wish I could have, but we both had to go to work.......:(

Iris: It would be nice to see you at yoga one of these days. I'm hoping to go this weekend, but my parents are coming in that night so I'm not sure, and after that, I'll be on vacation, YIPEE. I hope you are doing well and your mom as well.

Deb: Sound like you had a nice weekend. It must have been really nice seeing everyone again like this. We like to go to FL in September because it's usually not crowded. It's the food I'm worried about, I want to eat healthy. Oh well, I'll try to think of some things that can do the trick.

Gotta go back to work. Hi to everybody else. Did BM2 scrambled eggs through the first 3 circuits this morning.

Helene

Hey girls, we decided to go ahead and do the hike and im glad because it still hasn't rained yet. We hiked for an hour and thirty two minutes and i burned 478cals. I was tired halfway through it though:confused:

Helened-Nice job on BM2 scrambled eggs workout...its a toughy! So far im not hungry on the 1400 days, i have my cals scattered out throughout the day so i don't get hungry. I usually eat every three hours.

Debbie- Enjoy your spin class..glad you had fun at the reunion

Belinda-Thats a nice treadclimer...

Hey to everyone that follows. Have a good day. Im making brunswick stew for supper in the crockpot and its only 341cals for 2cups:eek: I may post the recipe in the recipe boards when i have time later.

Hi girls,

Lori, with HST, my HR doesn’t go up either! How much do you burn when you run? I’ll bet you burn a lot.

Trish, awesome job on your weight loss!

Iris, my prayers are with your mom! Poor thing! ^^^5’s on your 5k run yesterday.

Amelia, any DOMS from PUB yesterday? I feel so much better today, once I was done with my wo! BTW, nice cal. burn today. Yap, I like the TC too!

TreadClimber users burned 321 calories in 30 minutes at 3 mph (I was at 4mph)

- Treadmill users burned only 150 calories in 30 minutes at the same speed

This means you can lose weight faster and get a more effective workout in less time.

Helene, I am seeing a physical therapist tomorrow. I will take to the PT about the tubing,Picked up my back brace today, I will wear it when I lift weights, lol. Barns & Nobels sells Jillian Michaels DVD’s for only $6.50. Nice cal yesterday. See if the Y has the TC, you will sweat buckets! No back problems!

I am finally caught up with persunals!

Afternoon girls,

This weekend was pretty busy so I didn't have much time to post. I ended up taking Saturday as a rest day and then a cheat day. We went out to Ruby Tuesday's and I had 1/2 a turkey burger with french fries I ate my fries and what was left of DH's:eek:)and chocoloate chip cookies! Tasted so good and worth the calories (too often my cheats just aren't worth it!) On Sunday I did CCV3 (5 miles, 341 cals). Today, I went to the gym and worked triceps and chest. Tomorrow will be spin and abs, I think.

Belinda - I'm so glad you found a way to stay active and still remain pain free! The TC looks awesome;) ^5s on your cal burn.

Amelia - Glad you guys decided to go for the walk after all! ^5s on your cal burn, too. I cooked up some chicken in the slow cooker over night for tonight's dinner. I'm such a slow cooker fan. I'm constantly searching out recipes.

Lori - Nice run yesterday! What do you have planned for today?

Deb - Glad you had a nice time with old friends. Now that I've gotten on facebook, I'm finding lots of old buddies and hope to get us all together at some point. Hope spinning was fun today.

Helene - Nice job on BM2 scrambled eggs. How are you planning to modify the STS rotation now that you'll be going to the gym? I'm struggling a little bit with that for my rotation. Would love to hear your thoughts. One thought I had is to rip the dvds and bring them with me on my iphone. I would just add on a few machines for the muscle group being worked.

Cookie, Iris hope you're both doing well.

BBL

'Evening!
My internet connection kept going out last evening, so I never got back here.
Iris, please keep up informed about your mom. She's also in my thoughts. How is she handling it emotionally? Love the Pruyn House - it's lovely and the grounds! I have absolutely no musical talent, can't even sing, but I certainly love to listen. I was telling someone the other day that it is when one is busy with their own life and happy with it, that others become attracted to them. Guess I could have been speaking of you!
Belinda, you be careful! Here you're talking about a back brace and exercise tubing all in the same sentence. Should confess that I would be the same. You are something else.
Amelia, nice job on the hike. You're really getting into it. Have you ever read the Bill Byron book about hiking the Appalachian trail - entertaining. Are you still doing P90? Congrats on the weight loss. Finished End of Overeating and would highly recommend me. Now I'm onto In Defense of Food - also very interesting.
Lori, Cuba?!! Without kids?!!! Now that sounds like a great vacation! You just sort of slipped that in there, didn't you?
Trish, congrats on the weight loss. You are too funny with your gym memberships. Did you say you have three of them? Do you belong to the Y where you spend Saturdays?
Helene, did you like the core dvd? That was me with the yogafit dvds? I'm thinking of trying to squeeze in the first core wo this evening, but now that I sat down, I'm exhausted.
Little Debbie, you're as sweet as those treats! Bet you looked the best at the reunion. Wow, that is a long time you've been with your husband. Can't even imagine how dorky mine must have been at 15 - he was bad enough at 26.
Did Imax 2 Blast Mania this morning. Love those plyos. Tomorrow is supposed to be SJP, but I'm not sure. I have a bad shoulder and the kettlebell wo I did two wks ago really aggravated. Lately it hurts nonstop - driving standard is a killer! I'll see how I feel in the morning before I do shoulder weights. Have to go catch up on the past few days, I didn't read other forums or threads! I might have missed something...
