Good morning ladies,

I will do cardio today, not sure what yet?

Cookie – awesome job on plyo 14 yesterday and going up in wts!

Debbie – glad to hear you getting your hip checked, especially since you will go to the RT. Sorry you had problems at work yesterday.

Trish – sorry about your DD. My son outgrew it.
Iris - $13 is a bargain, believe me! Another D? Can’t wait until today.

Amelia – good job with SS yesterday

Helene – I will do the challenge with you girls! Your workout schedule looks intense. Don’t burn yourself out, girl!

Lori – next time hide, lol! As always, good job with your workouts.

I will be back to report my workout and personals!

Have a great workout and day, everyone!

Good morning everyone,

Now you would think with me checking in late last night, that I would be caught up with personals. But nooooooo, everyone decided to check in in the evening. :D

Belinda and Trish: I think the idea of the challenge is to do what you can. The main thing is to listen to your body. So if I'm pooped I'll tone it down or rest. I have no problems with that. On Sunday I was tired so didn't do the hard leg workout. And on Tuesday before I had a rest. By making sure I listen I feel really good so far. So, if you join on the challenge make your own workout schedule. The idea for the schedule is to do more weight training if possible. In BFFM they indicate that weight training is the most important physical activity for weight loss and muscle definition. He suggests full body splits over 4 days I think but I am splitting some of the upper body instead (though with M3 that won't work so well). That takes me to 4 days of weights. Then he suggests adding in 3 days of cardio with a preference for high-intensity short workouts so : Hiit then High intensity (think fast run), then endurance type cardio. Or something like that. For those who want more fat loss, he suggests adding in a bit more cardio. So I am adding cardio on the arm days. So you can really make the workout schedule as it would work for you. And seriously, I do not think I am kidding when I say that my body recovers with my desk job. I think it helps with the training schedule. So that is the schedule that I made for myself, bit what BFFM says everyone should do. I just want the fat off, LOL. And yeah, I had to post pics of myself in a bathing suit on the internet for the challenge. Now that I thoroughly embarrassed myself, I am gonna make sure the end pictures look a lot better! Trish, there is no problem with your sweet tooth. The key to the challenge would be to satisfy your sweet tooth but keep the total calories in check. Something else to consider: From what they say, 30% protein seems to work really well for satiety.

Trish: I think the workouts you have down fine. Maybe the challenge for you would be to make a commitment to keep the sweets in check simply by sticking to your calorie goal withing 200 cals everyday. Hey, you can always make it to the next day right? If you really want sweets but have eaten your cals for the day, breakfast of tomorrow is just around the corner. Snicker bar for breakfast anyone? If you get a chance, I would read again "the end of overeating" . It's not great writing, but it has helped me control my cravings by the sheer fact that it explains why it all happens. I think you mentioned you had it. I think realizing what is happening when I want to go get a snicker bar is making it way easier to resist! It might work for you as well. The only think about the challenge is to get into the mindset that you are going to do something for yourself for the next 2 months. Other key is accountability. And that's what your cyber friends are here for :) Also, you can do Hiit on the elliptical. So your knees should be OK.

Taking over the thread again......

Deb: I have to admit that I can't stand those sneakers. They are the ugliest thing on the face of the earth to me yet I see everyone wearing them...... And they are telling me how they are shaping up and I should do it. It's like the latest diet craze. LOL, no going to the gym and working out is going to help me shape up! I think my cha-cha heels look better and do a great number on my calves  The marketing for these things was genious! I hope you can take care of your hip AND get into the RT.

Iris: DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.......... oops, I think my d on my keyboard sticks :D Are you up yet?

Cookie: Yeah, you live out in the country, that's why. But then again, you would think with what we can do nowadays that they would have figured this out and you could surf the internet in peace. Nice job on the Plyo legs. How's the challenge going? :)

Lori: You must have checked in by now with all my writing

Amelia: What are your plans today?

I got to put a move on. M3 shoulders, biceps and triceps are on ta for 10 minutes ago! BBL

Good Morning Girls!:)

I had a good day yesterday....it was nice to be home. We went for an 11k run in the a.m. Then after lunch DS wanted to get in the hot tub...so he played for about 3 hours in the hot tub! LOL And while he did that, I got tons of reading done. Now, I was up and down like a yo-yo scooping up his toys from the bottom of the hot tub. After dinner I took him to the play ground but of course he still wasn't tired...there is just no way of wearing him out.

Belinda** I am surprised that bowflex doesn't ship to APO...b/c whenever I have wanted to order something and it doesn't ship to Canada....it will ship to military homes. My BIL has those db's...I have used them but I don't think I would buy them....if that makes you feel any better! LOL

Ameila** I usually buy lower cal drinks as well when I want to party but if I am just relaxing I will have something more tasty....something that I wouldn't drink all night long. Nice workout yesterday!

Iris** Can't wait to hear the D story!!!!:D:D

Helene** Im sure DH will be cool with your new purchase. Was cost of shipping outrageous? I can only imagine what it would cost to ship db's here! It would probably cost more then the db's themselves.

Trish** Are you feeling any better these days? Are you going to take Helenes plan into consideration?

Deb** So did you wait for the workout to begin at the gym or did you just do your own thing?

Cookie** Yes....I could blame my drinking problem on my boss;) I had a party for DH so that is why I consumed to many beverages! LOL

Its not quit as nice here today. It was hot yesterday and I enjoyed sun tanning while I was reading! I am thinking I will do my next exam at work this weekend b/c its all pretty much common sense stuff!

BBL!
Lori:)

I'm running late this morning,,,,, So real quick in a nutshell......DG found out I was leaving...he came to the end of the bar yesterday and said" I heard you're leaving?? It's about time!!" ...:mad: But then he seriously asked for me number, which I seriously gave him. He said he's going to Florida for the weekend, so he's real sorry about Friday, he'll call me next week...blahblah whatever. SO, DN....it's an old "D". It's a guy I used to like that never bit when I threw it out there that I did like him. Do you guys remember the guy I was talking about shortly after the accident last year?? It's that guy, the guy I thought hated my guts for whatever reason, but as it turns out he really didn't, he thought I hated him. (wtf?) ......so fast forward almost a year and half....damn where did all that time go???

No workout today...rest day...again...lol It's my rest week, so I'm not that worried about it! I will start a new rotation on Saturday, though not sure what.

DC is obsessed....he texts me his weight..lol. Got mad at me when I wouldn't let him on the scale during our session....lol

Belinda- Have a great workout!! I had a warranty on the tires, and it went by the tread on the tires as to how much the replacement would be, and theyre not that old, so I made out well!!

Lori- Glad you got some studying done!! So where are you at now??

Helene- I'm up, I'm up!! Hey what do you guys think about coming to my parents for our next get together?? In East Greenbush. They have a large deck, I don't even have a couch to sit on,.....lol I was thinking the week after the 4th of July?? And yes I would absolutely come workout with you!!! And yes to yoga, and training for this 5k! I'm not telling you when I look at your trees. One of these evenings you'll just see me sitting in your backyard staring out into the vastness....LOL

Cookie- Refer to Helene's post...lol Yeah I'm notorious for losing hubcaps, but not for completely annhiliating a curb... lol @ accident's happening 2 miles from work/home. Nice workout yesterday! I can't wait to try out plyo legs.....not. LOL

Trish- I would assume that for awhile the exam would be based on the 3rd edition, just because that's what a lot of people probably have! Wow, nice workouts yesterday!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one hitting curbs these days! How old is your daughter?

Deb- Dang, I'm so sorry about your hip! I hope that gets resolved soon! When are you going to see the doctor?

Amelia- Yeah Rodney is kinda nutso with his moves if you ask me, too. lol I like your avatar! Sorry those Buds weren't for you! (LOL , get it?) I'm so funny.

Ok I need to get a move on!! I have my last double today (thank god!). BBL

quick check-in

Dish 27 done.

Lori: Awww, you made Belinda feel better and me worse  I got 40% off AND free shipping. That's why it was so interesting. I was about to buy heavier dumbbells anyways. I will keep my lighter ones. I just don't want to buy too many more so this will do it for me. I plan on using them for 30lbs and higher only. They are likely too bulky for the lower weights.

Iris: Yeah AND?!!!! What about DN. All you said was who he was. So no parasailing huh? Maybe he can take you zip lining in the Catskills. Sounds nice to meet at your parents. OK for all the workouts. We coordinate once this crazy week is over for you.

BBL tonight.

It was to hot outside, I went to the gym and did CCV5 on the TM. Haven't ran on the TM in a long time, lol! I ran 4.5 miles, should have gone for the other 1/2 mile:D tomorrow will do D6 legs, don't wonna burn out my poor legs:p

I will shower than walk the dogs. I will be back later.

Well, I'm dragging @ss today, BIG TIME. I went nuts yesterday on my supper.I just snapped, seriously! I said 'the hell with it"!
I cooked a healthy supper but an inner (evil) voice told me that we didn't want that, we wanted something else. im sure my calories were way over my limit and i wouldn't dare get on the scale this morning. Ive got three days to get back to my .2 loss(the weight i was yesterday) so i can say this week wasn't a wasted week. Im trying not to be mad at myself...really trying....

ANYWAYS...today is a cardio + yoga. I also plan on mowing either the front or back yard today (or both:cool:) Not sure what i will be doing today as far as cardio goes?

I've got to make an appointment with a podiatrist soon, my big toe joint on my right foot is starting to hurt a lot:( Im not sure if its my shoes or heriditary (my father suffers from Hallux rigidus ) will see soon.

Belinda-I'm crossing my fingers that customer service can help you with the shipping situation! Nice workout today girl...

Iris-Enjoy your rest day even if you have to work a dble..at least its your last one!

Lori-Nice run yesterday. Im enjoying sun tanning lately too..although i don't enjoy it when my lab decides to stick her nose in between me and my book. She is shedding like crazy too...yuk. I can't stand loose hairs all over me. Poor thing...im brushing her all the time and she still looks like a buffalo. I've thought about getting her a summer shave at the pet groomers...

Helene-Nice job on dis 27!

Deb-Sorry you had problems at work yesterday. Nice job on your elliptical workout! Glad it didn't bother your hip!!!

Cookie-WTG on your workout yesterday! I too get sick of my satellite, when its bad weather the thing hardly ever works and it so expensive. So im right there with you on that rant!!

Trish- on your dble workout yesterday..you GO GIRL!!! I hope you got a well rested nights sleep. I actually slept pretty good last night...didn't take any of my herbs either, lol

Did i miss anyone?

ok, bbl to report my workout!

I am back:p

I just did Cardio Core Circuit too:p:eek: Burned 360 cal. Now I am beat:p

Lori - I am suprised BF ships to your BIL too:eek: They wouldn't even ship to my friends house in GA:eek::eek:

Amelia - enjoy your cardio and yoga today. My DD is gonna order the DVD's for me today. I will get them in July.

Iris - enjoy your rest day today. You deserve it, girl! You been working hard these days. At least you guys are talking now, said a year went by like this.

Helene - glad you got disc 27 out of the way this morning. My hsuband call them about the DB's, they gave me an extension for today. That was very nice of them! I need to find someone I can sent them too. Thanks btw, about the info, will read it tonight when I have a little more time!

Debbie - glad to hear elliptical bother your hip! Nice job!

Hi Trish and Cookie!

Have a great day, everyone!

workout done, intermediate drills + modified combo 3 in KPC , then some stretching..

Belinda-July isn't far away...you will get them soon girl!

Evening Ladies!

My whole body is aching! Ouch! I forgot how tough GS can be on your body. I have GS Shoulders, Back & Biceps tomorrow morning so I guess the remaining muscles will be screaming. Today's wo was iClimb 19, burning 443 cals. DDs have their last dance rehearsal tomorrow so I'm only working 1/2 day. Yippee!! And the show is on Saturday so soon I'll have my Saturdays back...Oh, Happy Day:D!!

Belinda - I hope my little one outgrows it, too. The allergist said it usually happens by 7YO if it's going to happen. Fingers crossed. Nice job on CCV5 and adding on with CCC!

Iris - Woohoo!! A new D...exciting. So, when are you going to see him again?? My stepdaughter is 20. I don't know how DH survives in a house full of women all with different personalities.

Helene - I'm definitely going to give the challenge a go. I'm managing my cals pretty well (although 7Y0 DD had a cooking class today and made 'healthy' macaroni & cheese...I had a couple spoonfuls that I didn't include in my cals:rolleyes:). But I'm feeling really great. Let's see how much I can lose;) I will definitely re-read the overeating book again. I do remember there being a lot of great info in there.

Amelia - I totally understand about the eating (as you know!). I love Helene's suggestion about re-labeling 'bad' food...maybe you just needed a little something good for your soul:) Nice job on your wo!

Cookie - Hope you are having a great day! I think the humidity is headed down for the weekend;).

Deb - What wo did you do today? Hope your hip is feeling better.

So, I met with the second psychologist today. Most of her suggestions were things I already knew or had tried (i.e. don't keep any sweets in the house, etc.). I liked her so I am planning to see her again next week. Not sure she will be able to help with much though. TBD, I guess...G'night.

Hallo,
Cookie - how your hip doing?
Trish – GS is a tough one! Great job with I Climb19 today. Glad you like the new psychologist.
Amelia – nice job with KPC today. STOP beating yourself up, girl! So what you had something that wasn’t so healthy?
Good night, sleep tight!
