Commit to get fit and lean for Jan 13, 2010

Good Morning!:)

Dont you hate it when you wake up and dont know what day it is? LOL Its been happening to me alot lately! My alarm went off this a.m and I was trying to figure out if it was Fri and I was working this weekend or if the weekend were over and it was Mon! LOL I guess its a sign of being in a deep sleep???:D Or maybe I am just getting dumber with age:p

Needless to say, almost every muscle I have is sore today! Im liking it!!! My back is sore, from Im not sure what. My chest is flaming and there is even a little soreness in my legs, which I am assuming is from HIIT?
Todays workout is gonna be a smaller run on the TM, probably 3-4 miles and then 30-30. I really enjoyed yesterdays workouts. I think Cathe as out done herself again.

Im going to read yesterdays thread to see what I missed and then I shall return!

Im not sure if I posted yesterdays workout or not. I did Kari Andersons abs, Disc #4 and then I did 40-20...enjoyed it so much I did double wave as well! Im looking forward to 30-30 today!

Ameila** How are you feeling today? Its never a good sign when your throat gets itchy!

Deb** It doesnt take long for them to get those valentines candy out...or the cards for that matter!

Cookie** Hope you get some answers where you mom is concerned, real soon! So sweet of you to go with your sister for support. She needs it Im sure. Nothing worse then doing something alone!

Trish** DD is going to Quebec for a class trip...she is in french..all day long..every day...haven't really heard her talk much french though:confused: I would like to think its in her brain somewhere. You won't be long losing those lbs!

Helene** Vaca is not happening for us this year...just to much on the go! So like I said...I will live through you!!! hehe!!

O.k...I really have to get my butt moving!

Good Morning Ladies

Today is D3 Legs again...I ended up doing MMA Boxing again yesterday. Somehow I feel I need to stick to the plan and just repeat each week exactly. I feel more "in control" or something...LOL

The dentist was in from out of town to cover for another dentist. He did some fancy smancy fillings...all kinds of gadgets/clamps/bands...I don't know what the hell he was doing!! I had two fillings done yesterday, and one the last time I was there. Yesterday my appt was at 4:30...and it was almost 7 by the time I got to the grocery store. :confused: The first round of novacaine didn't work (for my teeth), but it numbed my cheek/cheekbone/side of my nose. the SECOND round of novacaine left me completely paralyzed :eek: Even my eye drooped...*sigh*

Belinda- Nice workout today!! I am so excited about moving onto Week 2 ....

Amelia- Are you feeling any better today?? How was your soup? I just got a crockpot for christmas, and the only thing I've used it for is that awesome porridge recipe I found in tosca reno's cookbook.

Lori- I am the same way about the dentist! put it off....put it off.....now one tooth needs a root canal (which I've yet to see into). I will also make sure to make appointments, get my cleanings, etc! Ohhh that reminds me........I will post this story at the end............

Deb- What is it like taking a live kickboxing class? Is it usually the same people? Do people get really pumped up like they do at Cathe classes?

Trish- I don't think the MMA's are nearly as intense as the HIIT. I am loving all of the workouts! Do you have them?

Helene- I haven't seen "him" since New Year's day. I know he went to Florida....his birthday was monday....I'm guessing he's back by now....GREAT. I've yet to do HIIT Pyramid! I dont' know how you do weights right after....good for you!

Cookie- I'm so glad your mom is doing better!! And glad you are taking a rest day.......;)

So one more dentist story....since Lori and I are discussing how we should be making sure our teeth stay healthy. While my mouth was wide open...the dentist and assistant were talking about what they were doing after...lol...and the dentist said he wanted to get on the treadmill at the gym at his hotel. And the assistant said "Im too lazy to exercise".....REALLY? How is that any different than being too lazy to sit practically upside down in a chair with two masked faces all up in your chopper and your face drooping for two hours while they patch holes in your teeth.? She lectured me on getting to the dentist....but I couldn't speak up to lecture her right back. :confused: BBL!

Im not sure what today's workout will be...i will have to wait and see what i feel like doing later, my cold isn't any better but my throat is..so thats good.

After about 3pm my eating was terrible yesterday:( im not really sure what happened. DH says its because i was sick and my body wanted more food:p:rolleyes:
oh well,back on track today, its not the first time ive slipped and it won't be my last;)

O.K...so IMO...I think 30/30 is the hardest workout out of the 3 HIIT. Atleast during 40/20 you get a couple 1 mins breaks but not in 30/30. And those last few that go from airjacks to tuck jumps..ugh...had to catch my breath for a minute! Tough stuff! Or it may be the fact that I did 4.55 miles on the TM before doing 30/30? Awesome workout!

Iris** Yes, you should have lectured her! LOL My neice was over yesterday morning and she was all amazed at what I was doing. First I did abs and then Disc 4 and you could see her staring at me. Probably b/c her mother doesn't workout. They think Im nuts anyway, so its no odds!:eek:

Deb** Hope you enjoy your class! Work those buns girl!!

Belinda** Hope you have a good PT apt!

Ameila** DH may have been right. Usually when we are sick its one way or the other. We eat nothing or junk. Its never healthy food. So take it as your cheat day. Hope you get a workout in!

Hey girls, just got a great workout in. Did Kelly Meyer's Athletic step then upper body + abbs on NYC. Burned 550 altogether.

I forgot to ask earlier. DH and I are browsing the housing market for a home. Any advice for first time home buyers? Were gonna go through a real estate agent...not even sure which on yet?:confused: Should we first find a home we like or first contact an agent?

Hi girls,

There was a sub for spin but really liked her class. I'm deciding if I should do Disc 4 today or tomorrow leaning towards today:) you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Belinda - I hope you enjoyed PT appointment:)

Lori - It sounds like you might have all the workouts done by tomorrow:D How old is your niece?

Iris - It's a bad enough we have to go to the dentist but it sounds like your experience was awful. When I was younger:rolleyes: they didn't even use novacaine:eek: I do enjoy live kickboxing classes except you have to be careful not to kick your neighbor. They don't get as excited like at a Cathe class either.

Amelia - I'm thinking you and DH should look by yourselves for a little while just so you can get a better idea of what you want and then go to the agency with your own preferences. Sometimes real estate agencies show homes that aren't even what you would want or in your price range. I hope this helps.

Cookie - That is so nice of you to help your sister:) I hope you were able to get some answers today.

Helene - I could never do the shark slide. My DH & DS's said they felt like they took on air. I hope you were able to fall asleep last night.

Trish - I made a trip to Trader Joe's too:) I liked American Idol not sure if I will when Simon is gone.

I thought I posted about my PT appointment, not sure were it went:eek: Anyway, I went to my PT appt, I am getting 4 more weeks of PT/massages plus I have to get another MRI done, which is fine with me! I wonna now if my back is getting better, it's so frustrating!

Debbie, nice boing with your spin class today. Did you do D4?

Iris, sorry you had bad experience at the dentist:confused: Hate going there! Sounds like a good plan sticking with the same workouts every week!

Amelia, glad you feel better and got your wo in!

Cookie, still praying for your mom! Keep us updated! How nice of you, helping your sister!

Lori, nice job on your DOMS! Have to admit, I am pretty sore myself since starting STS:eek: It's all good!
