I will use the Christmas color for the last time:( (this season anyway!) Hopefully I will still be alive to do it next year;) If not then you all have to think about me and what color I would be writing in if I were here! LOL:p
With that being said, I kinda wish we could go back a week. I just love Christmas eve and day....Boxing day as well b/c all the stores are still closed. I guess this weekend I will start putting away our gifts. Im not sure when I will take the tree down. I will probably wait until next Wed or Thurs to do that.

Im not sure what todays workout is gonna be and I don't intend to stay at work for a real long time today. Im gonna get in, do what I have to do and then leave again. We are going out tonight with DH's family but I don't think it will be a crazy night. None of our friends have plans and DH's parents, aunt, grandmother, aunt and uncle are going out for dinner so we are going with them. It will probably be pretty tame actually. Im not sure what a tame New Years is suppose to be like:rolleyes:

Belinda** Are you doing anything tonight to bring in the new year? Have a good workout if you do one.

Ameila** Are you still having computer troubles!? Last night whenever I would type something it would be in french, Im not sure what was going on with the computer but its gone again now.

Iris** Let me know how the weighted vest works out. I was going to order some weighted gloves from Sears and a med ball. When I went to order it yesterday, they were all gone. So I ordered 2 coats and a pair of boots instead! LOL

Deb** Ugh! I feel for ya! Im not sure what I have coming my way when DS gets older. He is crazy enough now....I can't imagine what he will be like when he is unsupervised! We all try our best to raise them right and then they turn around and do something stupid and you wonder WTH they get it from. I can see my DH wanting to kill the kids as well:eek: DD was mad last night b/c I wouldn't let her go out tonight. Seriously! Your 13 yrs old and you think you need to celebrate new years with your friends....come off of it! I let her go to a friends house last year but after the year we have had, I don't think it would be a wise thing to do. She won't be able to get a ride home and cabs aren't that plentiful on New Years Eve. When I came downstairs last night I heard her say " I hate her" Im pretty sure she was talking about me.

So anyone have any new years resolutions? Im not sure what mine will be. The only one I could come up with is to not eat so many sweets...just not sure how long that will last!

Morning!
Didn't get my wo in yesterday. My dh injured his knee and he's been really struggling with getting around. So I had to drive him into his office yesterday so he could do some end-of-yr stuff, take dd to get her driver's permit, pick up the heavy bag, and then one of my sisters called. My mom's appenditix ruptured and she was going in for surgery. Needless to say that was the end of my day. Didn't get home until about 10:30. She is so stubborn and it has always driven me crazy. Here her stubbornness that it was only a stomach bug almost killed her.
Belinda, your dd sounds like a lot of fun - always wanting to go and do things. Do we have the same sister?
Lori, good for you for ordering what you wanted. I have five, but only three are here right now. However, there always seems to be various friends of theirs coming in and out. I'm a light sleeper and they are just loud at times.
Amelia, good for you with the doms. As much as I enjoy time with my dh, I love and need time alone. Congrats on the loss during this challenging time.
Iris, I mentioned to a friend I was thinking of trying a heavy bag, when she referred me to a friend of hers who was selling one. It is like brand new. Seemed like it was meant to be. Your brother is very thoughtful. Now, we just need to get you a guy like that. You're worth it so don't settle for less.
Deb, my heart is with you. You do the very best you can raising them, but it comes down to them making choices in life. Unfortunately, I don't think they often think very far ahead to realize consequences of their actions. Did you go out last night? I don't think I would have been able to. My hell child is finally calming down a bit - thank God! Of course, he's now 26, but it has been a l-o-n-g road. We often wonder what we did but there is nothing.
Okay, off to take the hobbling hub to his office, visit my mom, and then take the dh to the ortho. Supposed to have friends over this evening, but the house looks like a tornado. One son is moving to Florida on Sat, and the other to Mexico on Monday so there's a lot of dissarray going on here.
What's every one's plans for the New Year's? Any resolutions or goals?

Wow, and I thought I had a bad day yesterday :eek: I locked my keys out of my car (again!) at work this time. But no one to come save me, I had to call Roadside...*sigh* Our head chef saw them in my car earlier, and never said anything! :mad: He thought they were there for a reason (seriously?) So I snapped at him big time.....took my food and went to eat upstairs to wait for the tow truck to get there with the jimmy....there are windows lining the building so you can see the entire parking lot and all the way down Central, and I saw him trying to get into my car...:eek: Then I felt bad. I wish that was the only aggravating thing to have happened yesterday, but it wasn't, but I just want to dismiss the day....lol Today is a full moon and probably won't be much better. I dont want to go out tonight, I just want to lock myself in the house!

Belinda- Have fun with your DD! That's awesome you can celebrate the New Year with her! Travel fit was awesome! We had a preview in Daytona, though....it was one of the classes ;)

Deb- So so sorry about your day yesterday. How did the rest of the day turn out for you?? I hope you could get a workout in.

Amelia- That is so weird that you can't see any of your posts, but they are showing up fine for the rest of us.? Nice workouts, and nice DOMS in the belly...what workout did you do that you got those because I rarely have core doms.

Cookie- Wow, so sorry about your Mom! How long is she in the hospital for?? I can't believe all the running around you do, plus your job and workouts...kudo's to you, girl. (((hugs)))

I know I will be glad to see this year go! Amen.......
 
Hey girls,

Ive finished my workout for the day. Did Kelly Meyer's plyo+4ds Chest & triceps+25min yoga workout. Burned 540cals, i had to cut my hrm off during it to take care of the kids then i would forget to turn it back on...so who knows how many cals i actually burned:rolleyes:

No crazy plans tonight, DH is going in earlier so he will get off at 11ish,so hopefull we can see the fireworks on the lake together,something we do every year.

Iris-AMEN,Im ready to start 2010! Hugs on your bad day yesterday. Its so frustrating when stuff like that happens.

Cookie-How is your mom & doing today? My dad is the same way..right now he has a huge blister looking 'bite' on his chest and refuses to go to the doctor about it. Its clearly infected,sigh. I hope you get a good stress-relieving workout. hugs

Thank you for all you well wishes, I really appreciate it and it means more than you could know:) I feel much better today. I think Cookie's weather came my way. We only had 2 inches of snow but the roads were so icy. I took DS to work but decided not to go myself since there were so many accidents and road closures and it took 2x's as long to get there.

I did MMA boxing yesterday, I really liked it and it was the perfect workout:) I shoveled 1/2 of my driveway & 1/2 of my neighbors who is away my arms feel worked:)

Belinda - Enjoy the rest of the time with DD sounds like your having a lot of fun:)

Lori - Somehow I thought girls would have been easier but I guess it's just a different set of problems. I think when kids are a handful when they are little they don't give you problems later on:) I prefer Christmas to New Year's too.

Cookie - So marrying them off is the trick:eek: sounds good to me:) Sounds like you'll have fun places to visit when the boys move. I hope your Mom is doing well.

Iris - I felt the same way about locking myself in the house but I would throw the key away. You had a rough day yesterday. How frustrating:( We can start the New Year fresh tomorrow:)

Amelia - Well you won't have to check for typos now:) You had a great workout today.

Ladies, just want to wish you all, and your families, a Happy, Healthy New Year!
Just got back from running around, and am trying to do a very quick pick up before company comes over. They will all probably go home saying a bad day at their house, sure beats how a good day at my house looks!
My dh has to go for an MRI next wk, and we're waiting for lab results on fluids they drained from his knee. They took 30 cc, and the dr said they usually only draw 2! Guess it might be a torn meniscus, lyme, or gout. Now I want to quickly google gout so I know more about it.
My mom's kidneys are doing very well, and her blood pressure is weird. She suffers from high bp, but today it is very low. So low that the tech said there had to be a mistake. She took it three times, and it was 32, 32, and finally 50 for the bottom number.
Belinda, walking definitely is a workout! And sometimes I think talking is exhausting, so that counts too.
Amelia, fireworks on the lake sounds so romantic. Enjoy.
Iris, hope today and next year are much better for you. Last year AAA told me I only had one more call left on my membership - guess I had used up all the others on getting my stupid car unlocked! It was a VW and would automatically lock itself after a about a 1.5 minute!
Lori, do you even eat cookies? You can only make a resolution for something you do! Maybe you should just resolve to record your mileage, and eat cookies.
Deb, I've been thinking about you and your family off and on all day. Hope things are okay, or as good as it can be right now. Yeah, maybe marriage is the answer. Mine (sometimes I do refer to him as my husband's(!) is finally calming down; not there yet but much better. Glad you hear you like the boxing wo - still haven't had a chance to try it.
No wo again today. Tomorrow I want to!

Hello all,

I don't have time to post but I wanted to wish everybody a fantastic 2010. We are having a great time down here ( I didn't find a good spot to do my Cathe DVDs but found the gym).
