Cathlete
Hi and good morning,

Today I will do M2 D 16:D Hope I will do better this week with chest, shouder & triceps:rolleyes:

Have a great Monday, everyone! BBL!

Good Morning!:)

Im guessing no one really likes Mondays? I don't today b/c I have to work but next week, I will love Mondays:p

I set my alarm to workout before work but I had no clue what I was going to do. I can't do another interval run b/c I won't have a knee left:eek: so I think I am going to do a circuit workout, including the TM but my runs will just be steady state. I was hoping to go outside for my run but of course, its raining again. Im not sure if this is another tail end of a hurricane or not. I think we were suppose to be "Bob" at some point in time. Thankfully we didn't get any rain in our basement again yesterday. DH was certain that we would. Im not sure who did...Im sure someone did though. Our problem on this St is that we live at the bottom of a hill, so everything from the st's above us, runs down and the drainage system they have on this st is no different then any other st. The water is suppose to run out into the pond that is behind us but that doesn't happen b/c the system the stupid town put in place:mad: The ditch behind our house was FULL Of water yesterday, almost level with the road. Thats why DH was so certain that we were going to get water. He took pics and will take them to the town. Anyway.....

Belinda** Tell the truth! You and DH bought the PS3 to play games on didn't you?? hehe! I wish i were still a kid sometimes.LOL Sitting home, playing games, someone calling me when dinner is ready! Life was good and we didn't even really know it! To busy wishing I was a growen up when really...it isn't even that much fun! ;)

Deb** DId you get out for your run? I find it so hard to do legs first then run after. I did legs yesterday as well but I have no DOMS today ( so far).

Helene** Glad to hear the kids had a great time yesterday. I think DS was getting alittle antsy cause he was stuck in the house all day. We went next door to my SILS's for dinner and left the kids home. DD took care of DS. Everytime we go over there DS wants to play and I have to go with him. So everyone else is sitting around the table eating and chatting, while i am sitting and playing. Drives me crazy! He never wants his father...its always me. DH says it b/c DS knows I am silly enough to go with him while DH won't. Im waiting for the day to come when he perfers his father over me.

Trish** Good job with the workouts yesterday. I am assuming you are counting cals? I use to do that a few yrs ago. After I met DH I gained some weight, plus I was in collage so I guess I gained the freshmen 15. Then when I got pregnant with DS I ballooned up to almost 180 lbs:eek: Which for me is a lot, I gained 50 lbs or more. So after having DS I followed WW's cause I knew it worked. Within 4 monthes PP i was back down to my old weight but of course, I still had to change my shape, that took a little longer. I am smaller now then i was before, by about 5-7 lbs. Actually the day of his 1st bday I was 115 lbs....almost 15 lbs lighter then i was pp. I was to thin then though and i wasn't even having normal periods.

Cookie** So you like you DIL to be? I always wonder what I will be like with the people my children bring home. Hopefully they will pick someone that I like b/c if not...gatherings will be awfully tough! LOL
I think after I am done training for my race this month and half of the next, i am going to do the Insanity workouts plus the GS workouts. The GS's are my fav and its been so long since I have done them in a rotation, so I think that is the plan for mid Oct-1st of Nov. I know, it seems so far away but we know it will be here in no time. I went Christmas shopping last night!

Alright, enough chit chat! It actually looks pretty nice outside since I have been up and I am thinking about running outside. I don't have much desire to go downstairs and workout to tell you the truth.

Lori:)

Morning

Today is Chest/back/abb ripper. Im gonna do some of kenpo X too...didn't get to saturday. My goal is to burn 600 cals(thats what i put into my food log;))

Thanks on the snack suggestions guys. I will pick up some feta cheese the next time we go shopping. Ive tried Sabre spicey and roasted red pepper hummus and just couldn't eat it:eek: Maybe i will try some new brands. I did find me some yummy wheat crackers with only three ingredients...there Triscuits Thins...i got the whole wheat ones. 15crackers,120 cals, 3fibers,3proteins...no too shabby for a cracker! I also got some lite laughing cow cheese. I use to drink cottage cheese smoothies all the time...thats another snack i could start agian.

About the hike, we brought our lunch so we ate it after the first three miles then we would also take breaks throughout the hike. There were benches around every corner at the park. DS complained a couple of times but he would also get pouty when i mention us going home. It was fun but i think next time will go without the kids... DH and I are suppose to go back thursday..will see:).

Belinda-Have fun with your STS workout!

Lori-Good news on the water...Enjoy your circuit today.

Trish-I absolutely LOVE the digital scale. My cup estimates were a little off...even when i use a measuring cup. It has a 'tare' function so i can easly measure multiple things without having to do them indivually. SO much easier then using measuring cups. About the hike...my Ds is four and he kept up pretty good...but i remember when he was around 2 1/2 and we took him hiking, we ended up toteing him about halfway through(he was about 35lbs at the time too:confused:)

Helened-Glad to hear you had fun at the waterpark! I hope your feeling better today!

Debbie-Awesome job on your leg workout yesterday...how are the DOMS this morning?

Iris-Great job on your c-5 & yoga workout yesterday...

Cookie-I hope your shoulder isn't throbbing anymore. Glad to hear the shower went well...it will all be over before you know it. Great job on your workout yesterday!!

Hey to anyone i missed

Back to report!:) I decided to run outside after I posted. It was a good run but I could only squeeze in 51 mins...which I am guessing took me 10 kms.

Good news, my boss isn't here today, he is working on his new project:) Which means I have a con-worker here all day, which means HE has to wait for the next guy to come in at 7 instead of me having to wait. Now I can go home at 5! Yippee!!!

Ameila** Have a good workout!!

BBL!
Lori:)

Good Morning Ladies....

Today is Muscle Endurance....I've also thought of doing the hundred pushup challenge again to prepare for the Daytona trip that I haven't signed up for yet...lol I've been looking at flights everyday.....because I'm thinking of going Thursday through Monday...if I'm going to do this I may as well build a tiny bit of vacation around it, no? ;)

Belinda- Hope you have a great workout! Have all your DOMS subsided??

Amelia- What is kenpo X? And RRP hummus is icckkk.... I love the garlic lover's, the garlic and chive, and the horseradish...;)

Lori- You're right, you live only once....I'm so close to signing up. Hope you have a great run today!

Helene- What waterpark did you go to? I'm glad it was a good time! It was a beautiful day! Had a great time shopping yesterday (we stayed local) and omg I found the cutest little navy blue dress at Bonton's....I lovee that store...lol

Deb- wow....immediate DOMS yesterday?? That's happened to me a couple of times........and then you know it's going to be REALLY bad the next day...lol

Trish- Great run yesterday!!! Wow that' awesome. :) (Somedayy.....)

Cookie- I knew there were outlets somewhere up 87...just couldnt' remember where. Did you decided on a rotation yet? I just started a new one today...one of the September one's....I'll have to go look.....from looking at it it looks like 3 cardio days/2 weights/1 Circuit....let me know what you decide.

Ok off to the living room...bbl

Iris-You vaction to daytona sounds like a dream...have fun with ME. Ive thought about trying the garlic lovers hummus...i will next time.Kenpo is p90x'es version of kickbox type workouts...

Lori-Great job with your run girl...

My workout is done...burned 560,close to my goal. I wasn't able to do any pullups but i did a couple of negitive ones. Think i will get me a heavy duty band to use until my back muslces get stronger..

have a great day..gotta go take a shower and work on the moutian of dirty clothes in my bathroom:confused:

Morning Girls,

I'm so sleepy! Had another night of not-so restful sleep:confused:. Really looking forward to getting to sleep tonight....but, that won't be until after making dinner and going to MIL's to play nurse....WAAAAHHHH!!! Okay, I'll quit moaning. So, on a good note, I did D23 (Legs) this morning. Hoping for nice tooshie doms tomorrow.

Belinda - Cool!! I used to be really into video games (think Atari 2600 and Donkey Kong) and still play them on my phone while commuting to work. DH probably doesn't know PS3 can play DVDs or he would probably want one, too! Enjoy your wo today!

Lori - Wow, I can't imagine you ever weighing 180 lbs. How tall are you? Yup, I'm a calorie-counter although I'm thinking my counts are not as accurate as Amelia's will be;) Think there's a chance you can get the town to fix their drainage system? We had water in a small area of our basement the day we moved in 5 years ago but nothing since (knock on wood). Enjoy your run.

Amelia - Your DS did really good on that hike! Our hike will be much shorter so I'm hoping 2YO DD can handle most of it. Then it's up in daddy's arms the rest of the way;). Maybe one day I will invest in a scale. Right now, I don't think I can add one more 'task' to my plate.

Iris - 100 pushup challenge?? Wow!! That would be a great achievement. If the Daytona event is anything like the NYC event, it really wasn't too tough. It was cardio only with back/side lunges with paper plates. Really felt more like doing a dvd at home except better! Did you and mom get any good buys while shopping?

Hello to Helene and Deb. BBL

Iris** If I were near you now I would put you in a head lock until you booked your trip:p;) One of these days you will be tied down with kids...TRUST ME...GO NOWWWWW!:D

Ameila** Pullups get easier...but never easy! I will never say that. I still do them with my foot on the chair but just one foot. I don't ever think I would be able to do them without the chair. DH as a chin up bar in the garage and all of his friends think its mine and they want me to do pullups. I just stand there...pretending that it is mine...and that I can do them! LOL

Trish** Im not quiet 5'4" so yeah...that was to much weight for my body to be carrying around. Im glad you didn't go into detail about your nursing duties tonight! hehe!

I received one parcel today. I ordered 2 sweaters last week and they arrived. It worked out good b/c DD wanted the white one and I don't think it will fit me very well. Its a pullover and I would rather have the zip up one. I have a feeling they will both end up in her closet. When I looked the other night she had my pjs on...I was like "come off of it!" Whats next? My underwear?

Lori:)

Iris - Lori's got the right attitude...go while you still have time...LOL!! I am going away for a girl's weekend next month and oh my, all the arrangements that have to be made around the little sweetie pies:confused:

Lori - Actually, I started typing the *details*, but then thought of you and didn't want your lunch coming back up:D I'm so jealous...I'm trying to stick to a budget which does not include clothes/accessory shopping! But I really want to hit my favorite online stores (or outlets) and burn some cash...SIGH:(! Maybe in a few months...we'll see.

Hi girls,

I am finally done with M2 D16:D Had a better workout this week. I lowered my weight for chest workout, for some reason my 1RM is a little to hight. Had me bench press 101 lb:rolleyes: I lowered it by 10 lb. I woke up with lower back pain this morning. It's only my chest workout that's been a little off? Weird! I will be back to report my workout and for personals!

Hi girls,

Finally, getting to check in and I had off today too:confused: I took a spin class today, I actually think it helped with DOMS today. I'm going to do Disc 25 Chest & back while my turkey sausages & peppers cook in the oven.

Belinda - Years ago my DH bought a used Arcade Ms. Pacman machine and there is quite the competition between DH & DS's going on to this day. I stink! You may become addicted.

Lori - I hope you can get the town to fix the water problem before all of you w/o stuff is ruined:( I can't imagine you ever gaining that much weight. Did you run when you were pregnant with DS? You can send you story to Cathe and get $100 worth of merchandise.

Iris - Looks like your real close to booking. I'm excited for you.

Amelia - How about protein shakes made with some frozen fruit? Sounds like you had a really good workout. I was thinking you could also send you success story to Cathe.

Trish - Way to get your workout in even when your sleepy:)

Cookie - You have a big week ahead of you. It seems like yesterday when we were hanging at the roadtrip:) and talking about the wedding. Did you see this month's success story it's Patti from our table? Amazing story.

Helene - Hope you're feeling better.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Evening,

Well I can report that I am feeling better. With the medication and all, it seems to make a difference. I did Disc 7 for chest, shoulders and biceps. I really don't enjoy all these pushups. Maybe because I can't do more than the first set on my toes :p

Iris: So how much more enabling do you need for Daytona? We went to great escapes yesterday. We have season passes and the kids love it. The pools were cold though yesterday. Yikes. Glad you enjoyed shopping with your mom. 100 push up challenge sounds good, I think there were 180 of them in various forms in Disc 7 this evening. Well done on ME.

Amelia: That's nice that your DS can take hikes like that. How was the chest and ab ripper today? I hope it worked you good. I saw Deb mentioning protein shakes as a snack. I just saw one in Cooking light this month with tofu that sounded real good.

Trish: I like your term: tooshie doms LOL. I hope that your MIL is better quickly. You are so busy. I'm sorry to hear that you are still having trouble sleeping at times. Do you have a nice bed like Cookie? Oh, and thanks for not sharing all the details of what you had to do for your MIL. It was my lunch time, but then one of my coworkers started talking about her daughter not wanting to change their old dog's diaper......

Belinda: Your weights are amazing. I can't wait to see the strength gains in action with STS. I think they say 5%. It's true I did more cardio and yoga than weights before. But I'm really taking a liking to it now.

Lori: No way you went up to 180! Though, I did too .....twice....not pretty. I lost a good amount both times but I would like to get back to an even more fit form. Then I could eat cookies like you do for snacks :p I'm glad the weather turned enough you could go run outside.

Deb: Nice multi-tasking getting disc 25 in while cooking. Sausage and peppers sound nice. I had a friend who said they never met a sausage they didn't like. Nice getting a spin class in too. I really would like to try one someday, but that means a gym membership.

Cookie: Enjoy this busy week. At least you can get some quality sleep in on the new bed

Allright, DS is at me that he is still hungry, it's 9PM and he still isn't in bed. But he just doesn't need to sleep as much as I do, too bad for me.

Have a great evening everybody. I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Ooh, I forgot, ordered myself that STS tower (they said they had a few extras). Since I am the ones taking care of the bills and it's going to go in the basement, what are my chances DH won't notice?

Helene

'Evening!
Belinda, wow, that's some amt of wt you're tossing around there! Have you seen large strength increases with sts? Do you think your lower back is related to the weights? Take care of yourself.
Lori, can't believe or imagine you at that wt. You don't stand still long enough for it to get on you. Do you think it was running that helped you to lose it? My DD takes my sweatshirts all the time. She also took a few running outfits, but then she looks much better in them than I ever would. Yesterday she claimed a silk bathrobe! Anyone the boys have brought home I always treat like they are my new best friend 'cause you never know, plus that way they can't say I wasn't good. My attitude is I'm not the one who is going to have to live with the person and for me it is easier to get along than not. Plus, so far I have liked every one.
Amelia, great job with the hiking. You're such a good role model for your family. I agree you should submit your story. Actually, think I've mentioned that a few times to you. Do you have KPC/LG? I thought of you when I saw this week's special. It's a great one. Almonds or seeds almost make a great snack and the fat in them not only is healthy but filling. My shoulder is better today - thanks!
Iris, so did you book your reservation yet? Haven't decided on a rotation yet. Was hoping Cathe had the new Sept one posted. Will have to go look at past ones. What are you doing?
Trish, I'm so amazed at how helpful and good you are with your MIL. I'm sure she appreciates you. Think of how your DDs are learning how to treat their future one. Wonder if your sleeping is related to stress. Have you ever tried Calm? I got some at the Vitamin Shoppe and it helps me. I met Jodelle on the RT and she mentioned it to me. She's also a YogaFit instructor. Bet you have sore abs! I do.
Helene, glad you're feeling better. I preordered the tower. Can't wait to get it - well I can 'cause then I'll "have" to do sts again but really do the pullups this time. How old is your son?
Deb, ohh sausage and peppers! I love that!!! Now I'm hungry all over again. And not for any carrots either. Hard to believe it was a month ago we were at the RT. I read Patti's story - can't believe that's her in the before photo. What a difference. Doesn't it feel like we're reading about a celebrity, and we've met her.
Instead of wts today or cardio, moved boxes and other items. It was a wo, and basement looks better already. Will feel good tomorrow to give the stuff away. Have to go check out a rotation.
