I just checked out your webpage and your dogs are gorgeous!!! We had dobes my entire childhood so I'm partial to them. Two years ago my brother and I got my dad a dobe from Doberman Rescue of Pa. He (Ceasar) is such a baby!!! We had to have my 15 year old dobe Daize put down in Sept of 2003 - hardest thing I ever had to do. My dad couldn't take the emptiness of the house so that is when we decided to check into the rescue.

Aren't Dobes the greatest!!! I lost my first one at 3 to a brain tumor but the one I have know, Bret, is a 'nephew' of the first one. I try to help with rescue as much as I can but that mostly entails volunteering to transport or do home checks.

It's so hard losing them. And unfortunately there are many health problems in the breed. A "good long life" is 10 these days altho most breeders are trying to do better to breed for longevity and doing research on the various ailments.

Give Ceaser a kiss from me! I've only had Dobes for about 8 years but they definitely will always have a place in my home and heart!
