Close-grip dumbell presses in PS-CST

Cathe: How do I know if I'm doing these exercises correctly (I think that's what you call them in the tricep section)? I try focusing on my triceps, but it still seems like i'm using my chest muscles!! Please help! I want to do these right! :-hmmm

Hi Lynne! You WILL use your chest muscles too because this exercise is still a version of a chest press. But having your hands closer together on the bar and lowering the bar to your lower chest area (keeping your elbows skimming the sides of your t shirt as you lower and lift your arms)will keep more of the weight load centered over your tricep muscles. I find that I can identify the work in my triceps much more if the weight load is heavier vs lighter. Good Luck!
