may 18 I wil clim the Alpe d,Huez in France with a MTB.
That,s 14 km climbing on an average of 9% ,the first 4 km
wil be 12% after that it wil be between 8 and 12%.
Which workout wil be the best to do ,for training for it.
Wow! That's a really cool objective Anja! A mountain bike? Is it unpaved? I really don't have any suggestions, except that you might want to google Chris Carmichael who was Lance Armstrong's trainer. I think he has written books on bicycling and endurance training.
Amy,
it isn,t unpaved, but I don,t what to buy an another bike
only for this, I know it wil be tougher.I wil train hard for this.
L.Amstrong also did the Alpe,dhuez.
I only want to know wich workout wil be the best to train for this.
The best training for biking is biking. There isn't really a Cathe workout that has that sort of endurance for the quads and glutes, but I think Power Hour, LowMax and Leaner Legs will be helpful. Trail running on hills is helpful too. I ride about 100 miles a week on the road. Cathe helps keep my legs strong, but too much strength training can reduce capillarity for those long long endurance activities.
