Whatchya doin?

Went to the gym this morning because I couldn't go last night since we got home too late.

Ryan's helping some friends move and I'm taking the girls to the grocery store.

Gotta get the laundry started... leaving in a few days!! EEK! :eek::eek:

Angie - How exciting that vacation is just around the corner for you! I'm going to read the clip thread now because curiosity is getting the best of me.

Kate - Hope you don't get the sickies and that Gina is feeling better. Poor thing! No worries on working out esp. when you need to care for your girls who are not feeling up to par. Hope J is spared!

Nina - I think letting out how you're feeling will help you feel better. Sorry for feeling sick. You're so good by making bread. I haven't even thought about anything Xmas related really.

Klaudia - I read an article in our newspaper this morning about how yelling at our kids is the new spanking. Parents hardly spank these days, but have turned to yelling. It had advice from a parenting counselor on how to avoid those situations which I am so guilty of. We'll both work on not yelling at our kids and clean eating, lol. I really do need help with both bad. That program sounds awesome about bullying prevention.

Hi Colleen, Katie, Anne, Robin, Becky!

I'm winding down for bedtime. I have to be up tomorrow a.m. to buy Bon Jovi concert tickets online at 9am! Am I dating myself or what? I'm excited to go. I went to a few Bon Jovi concerts during my high school days and so excited to go again. I have to catch up with their new stuff though. Anyway, no wo today. It was a loooooong day. I really need prayers on being more patient with my two older kids. The fighting and the struggles with getting them to not fight and nitpick about little things gives me a headache. Plus trying to get them to focus on school work instead of how one took the other person's pencil and eraser or is looking at them funny is not fun. I end up yelling and feeling more stressed. Anyway, P90X Legs & Back on tap for Saturday first thing in the morning. Oh and our stove/oven is broken and Sears can't come until Wed! Yikes, I guess crock pot and BBQ meals until then. Or sandwiches. Off to bed soon.

Last night after work we went out to dinner, then came home and made a gingerbread house. Today will be Christmas shopping, grocery shopping, and I promised Collin I would take him to see The Princess and The Frog (yes, he loves princesses too, not just Barbies!). We still haven't gone to see Santa so we need to do that tonight, and tomorrow I *really* need to start my holiday baking!!

WO this morning will be meso 3 shoulders/bis/tris.
 
Good morning Girls !!

Total change of plans yesterday ! We didn't go get a tree but we are going today !
In a little bit it's off to breakfast with Brayden , youngest DD and her BF and then to chop down a Christmas tree.
Then decorating tree and house and making a gingerbread house !

Yesterday dh and I Christmas shopped........went out for lunch at a New Orlean's style place. I ate grilled veggies over rice and um.... sweet potatoe fries, that were to die for !!!!!!!! No guilt there ! ha !!

Yay it's the weekend

Crazy day at work but I was able to get some sweet deals. I brought my DD a A.N.A. leather jacket for $33:D and my son a St John Bay vest for $4.30:D
I used my discount plus Penney's before christmas coupons...and these items were already %50 off:cool:

Angie I need groceries also.

Lisa IMO I think we need to raise our kids the best way we know how. If we can't spank or yell then how do we discipline them? How can I give a 15 year old time out? Nothing against you I just venting but society needs to butt ;) out of family bizz.
BbQ meals sound find to me. What worked for me during HW time is to get a big centerpiece and put it right in the middle so they can't see each other.

Becky that place sounds like a lot of fun and hey maybe I'll make some sweet potato fries tonight.

Plans today besides housework :rolleyes: is to finish decorating the house and get some rest. Maybe I watch some movies. I'm really bone tired.:(

Gina's MUCH better today! In fact, we're at swim class right now. next wk is the last one - thank goodness!!! We're not goign to do the next session. Isabel isnt enjoying it anymore and M&I are tired of being here!:p We'll start up again in the spring.

Yday was too many nuts.....sigh. PC - why does it have to be so hard?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Today is on-track and will remain that way. M& I are going to try to tag-team getting our WOs done during the day today. Need to focus and get WOs back on track - Florida will behere before we know it!
 
Hey all!

Yeserday turned into a major bust-more pizza, cheesy bread, truffles:eek: And no workout! Ugh. At least my weight didn't reflect the disaster. Today I'm hoping to get legs done before heading out to my SIL's engagement party. Darrin is out right now looking for a sweater and doing some returns for me;) Not sure on eats-but at least breakfast and lunch will be clean! Wish me luck!

Angie, good work on getting your workout done! Have fun packing:p

Lisa, it's good to know I'm not the only one who struggles with parenting issues. It's the patience thing for sure. You ask nicely the first 100 times, then BAM! You're NEVER too old for Bon Jovi! Sorry about the stove-lots of salads!

Katie, what's your password for the pics? Busy day! We're baking tomorrow too-probably no where near the amount you do and not as labor intensive. I'm all about drop cookies:)

Kate, glad to hear Gina's on the road to recovery. I only bought peanuts and alomds-I'm pc about them but if there's cashews around-watch out! Tage team workouts-love it!
 
howdy from westchester, ny!

i actually hopped on the bike for 20 mins of intervals last night while dh took JJ in pool here, fitness ctr was right next door close and since i dont currently wear a bathingsuit... this is a pretty nice hotel and the gym was great, tvs on all the equip and a nice set of machines. JJ slept well last night, only up 2x, and went down easily for a nap abt 1 hr ago, yay!!! and lets hope going down for the sitter goes just as well tonight! i may go down and do some upper body if theres time before gettin dressed but no more legs or cardio today since i am in huge heels for tonight.

options for bfast were not plentiful in my price range... had corn flakes with banana and berries,skim milk, coffee. and im hungry again, thats what i get for no protein...

klaudia, lol, have fun at the tacky sweater party =)

lisa, youre not the only one... i feel terrible abt how things go with my teen sometimes...

angie, are you enjoying the gym so far? how are your calves feeling?

katie, i need to start my baking asap when i get home sunday. so much to do.

I got my Bon Jovi concert tickets and I got pretty decent seats! Woohoo!! I won't divulge the indecent amount of money I spent on them, but you gotta live life right?? Got my workout done early this am and ready to start the day. Going to make gingerbread houses tomorrow so gotta do some shopping. Plus buy food to eat that doesn't have to be cooked.

Katie - I have to catch up with their more recent stuff because I was into old school Bon Jovi. I think New Jersey is the last one that I have memorized by heart, lol. Hope you get all your errands done today.

Robin - Good idea about the centerpiece! I know what you mean. It's like the trend changes every generation and it's like there is no "right" or perfect answer to parenting. I do think society needs to butt out a lot also. The only time society needs to step in is when it is clear cut abuse like beating the crap out of your child kind of thing.

Klaudia - Doesn't it feel great to have the wo out of the way? I can't do one unassisted pull-up if my life counted on it. I am getting better now that I've been doing P90X though. Hoping to at least do ONE before the program is done. Can you do front grip unassisted also? If you can, you are my hero for sure!!

Kate - Yay for Gina feeling better. Don't be so hard on yourself for going overboard with nuts. I go overboard with worst things than that, trust me.

Wendy - Awesome job with staying on track on vacation!

I am glad I am not the only yeller here. Being a parent is hard. Anyway off to go shopping. If the crowds are too crazy I'm heading right back home. Going to the craft store, dollar store, then groceries. Enjoy your weekend ladies!!

klaudia, will pm you the recipe. it is called cinnamon delight bread. i got it off all recipes.com. it has vanilla pudding in it. totally unclean, but good for gifting and it smells incredible. have fun at the party.

well, yday turned horrid for me - vomit, chills, fever, you name it! today is much better. i slept in, but during quiet time i did 9 miles of hills circuited in some weights and pushups. it was a bit too taxing, but it also felt good. family time now, but i will be back tomorrow. eats are clean. and klaudia, wish i had pc with almonds:mad:

Eats were ON TRACK all day. Almost could've gone over on the nuts again but I remembered how BLECH I felt yday so I stopped. I wanted taco ships at dinner sosososososo bad ...... but I didn't have one.

Went out boot shopping w/ my sister Libby tonight after we got the girls into bed. It was nice to get out. I'm on a spree lately!:D

Sunday is church and fam time. Will try to come on here in the afternoon to see what all you ladies are up to....
 
Just wanted to do a quick check in. Went to the gym this AM - just been doing ellip. It's good. Nice to have something different.

Will probably do GS C&T later and a seg of core max. We leave Friday!!!

I'll come back for personals later. I have to wrap some presents with Annabel for her friends.
 
Morning!

Late night-got home around 11:30 and didn't go to bed til 12:30. The party was fun although we looked completely ridiculous considering all the other guests were all dressed nicely. Ah, well. Over and done with. Today I'm going to start my baking-coconut macaroons, butterballs, and maybe some pecan squares:) Workout will be 4DS S/B/T, some chin ups, and maybe a short cardio. It's nasty out here today-freezing rain-blech. Good day to stay in and watch movies under a blanket:)

Lisa, I thout of you last night-Bon Jovi was on SNL:) My friend is a diehard fan too. Yes, I did front grip pull ups yesterday-couldn't do any before P90X. Keep at it, you'll get there!

Nina, can't wait to try that recipe! How do you have the flu one day and run 9 miles the next? Wow! I need to start my shopping!:eek: I think Darrin and I will try and knock it out next Friday/Saturday-it's not much, only the kids and his niece and his dad's gf's grandkids. Should be easy.

Kate, nice workout! I love L&G-it goes by so fast! Did you get some boots? Where?

Can you believe MY HUSBAND made panckes????? From scratch?!?!?!? He couldn't find my regular recipes so he pulled out the ol' Betty Crocker cookbook and made pancakes from scratch out of that book!!!! I am beyond impressed! Wish I could eat one.....:( The girls were so excited!
