I am so sorry that I left you all hanging yesterday! I was up early, but got carried away cyber-shopping and then suddenly realized I was late! I tried to check in from work, but couldn't log on (not quickly, anyway).

PT was really good yesterday - he scheduled me an appointment for next week, but says that if I am still improving that he may not need to see me again for awhile. And as many of you saw on my FB page, he and several others said in the office watched me doing planks and said they were some of the best they've ever seen! My PT also tells me that I have the best hamstring flexibility of anyone he sees. :D

I have had 5 totally clean days in a row, and I feel good. I haven't touched the scale in at least that long, and I really don't want to. I am motivated for a 100% squeaky weekend also.

Something weird is going on with my body and I canNOT figure it out - I am simply holding on to extra weight. I don't know if it is due to #1 all the running or #2 a change in my strength training or 3# a combination of both or #4 none of the above. I just feel like I am doing everything right - burning lots of calories thru cardio, strength training, stretching and core work, eating clean, etc. and I am still looking very fluffy. I think I am going to switch back to GS/Meso 2 style lifting for a few weeks and see what happens. I am probably going to be very sore for awhile, but I need to just suck it up and do it.

ANOTHER FUN FACT that I just learned - there are THREE THOUSAND people registered for the OBX half marathan. Can you imagine? 3000 people??? I would like to finish in the top half...

Okay, better get on with it... 2.5 mile run and my last meso one workout (for awhile, anyway). Then we've got swimming class, grocery shopping, etc. etc.

Not sure what to tell ya on the body issues. I can't even figure myself out!:confused::p I would love to see a personal trainer/nutritionist. But we are pinching pennies prepping for this possible addition that's looking more likely all the time. Our mortgage will nearly double so I need to start being more conservative with my spending. Boo!:p

The girls have swim class and Mike is going shooting so it's me and DDs all day. I reeeeally don't wanna sit at the pool for 90 minutes but what are ya gonna do? Isabel needs to learn to swim and Gina is doing well learning to swim BETTER and diving. Might take them out to lunch and to Michael's for a craft. We'll see how Ju hangs in there.

I'm w/ Katie on the eats - they've been great and I want to keep it up. We were at a potluck last night and I managed to avoid all the creamy/soupy/saucy foods - kept it to ham and fresh produce.

WO today will be legs. Hope I can do it in the day but it's not very likely. I have loved doing 4DS 2x this week but next week I'm moving on to GS. Once thru on that one!;):D Mike was commenting last night that my shoulders and chest are getting much more cut. Good news!

Better go start breakfast before they mutiny on me! See ya later!
 
hey everyone. we had a bit of drama y-day, so i did not get back here. ds had a pooping issue, but we resolved it and are pumping fluids and fiber-rific products today. i won't go into more sdetail so as not to offend. i did have a really clean day but woke up starving this am and really dragged thru my run. i will keep it clean and reweigh tomorrow. i was also downloading pics of the kiddos and will have to post soem here!

katie, yeah with the plaks!! not sure what to say about body issues. keep trying new things and see what works i guess?

Morning 100% Clean Weekenders

Katie ^5s on rockin the PT and do they know you do Cathe?:) Good for you for not jumpng on the scale b/c it really doesn't determine your health. WOW 3000 runner so how will we see you on the news. Wear something loud like hot pink or pruple.

Kate potluck is hard b/c people want you to try their food.Good goign with arms and shoulders.

For the past days I've been tracking my calories on sparkpeople and so far I'm on track with the cal count, carbs, salt etc. I will not touch the scale until the end of the week.

Quick post-gotta get ready for dance-Nutcracker rehearsals start today and we have a party in between and one tonight! And I'm trying to clean and get a workout in there somehow! Didn't do my cardio yesterday-ended up looking at pictures online of how to redo my mudroom into a "family command center". Anyway will try to get in a short cardio this afternoon.


Katie, I think the change will be good for you-shock the body and all. I wish I knew the answer, but it seems like we're all looking for it!

Kate, so jealous of your addition! I keep trying to figure out how to make the house more organized-on a very limited budget. I'm obsessed with it, actually! Drooling over mudrooms is my new hobby:) Have fun today! Yay for the cuts!

Robin, good job on the eats! I'm trying to stay away from the scale-so far, so good!

Nina, we've all been there with the poop issues, believe me! You look smokin' in those pics! That suit looks familiar;)

Hi Everyone!

Only 2 more weeks of insanity. I am getting to the point that I can't wait until it is done. I have found new muscles and new areas of pain. Last night it was my obliques. I woke up in the middle of the night in pain. It is worse on my left side than my right. I had a hard time getting comfortable because my favorite sleep position made the pain worse. Once I got up this morning and stretched, they were fine.

Katie, sorry about your fluffy issue. Don't you respond better to heavier weights? Maybe that will help.
Kate, sorry about the long swim practice but I am glad your girls are improving.

Colleen, we play Notre Dame! They're going to be out for blood after their loss to UofM last week. I'm a little nervous. I was thinking about Insanity but I think I've changed my mind-looks like I'd be dreading my workouts a lot.

I'm so late checking in today!

We went to the Pork Festival.......I had a grilled porkchop, baked beans and applesauce and a piece of the BEST blackberry pie !!!!!!!!!
We walked and walked for hours and I bought some yummy apple butter they were making right there. yum.

I came home and did 15 min of intervals on the bike (pedaling like MAD!) and 15 minutes of running on the TM.
Then mowed the grass.

Kate I hope you are feeling better. YES some days I think we need a good cry !!! There's no shame in that !

Nina, your arms are FABULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am probably confused but thought I'd read before you saying your weight crept up ???? You look awesome. I am probably mistaking you for someone else .

Becky, sounds like you had a fun day! Good for you! And a great WO too! Do you push-mow? We used to in our first house. Now we hire it out.:eek:
 
Kate, yes, I push mow. It's funny because my DH has a grass cutting/ landscaping business and has professional zero turn mowers but I cut our grass with my Toro. ; )
I just like doing it and look at it as a way to be active during the day.
It takes about 45 minutes if I go fast ! :)

kate, i totally get needing a good cry. has julia changed her nursings at all? that always did it for me.

becky, what a fun day you had yesterday. mowing is fun, if it is not a million degrees:D thanks for the compliment. my weight has crept up and i carry it always in my backside:mad: i just hate the flab.

well, i had a rockin lonnggggg run this am. i could not fall back asleep at 4 am, so i just went. i have neever run so far all at once, but it felt great. eats will be clean again today. i made this bean veggie mush in the crockpot y-day - zucinni, eggplant, onion, pepper, squash, lentils, tomatos and quinoa. it is so good and filling and healthy. makes me happy to have clean food today. off to church soon. see you guys later.

Nina your bean veggie mush sound great and that is something that I would eat. You don't look big at all in your pics. I think because I w/o that I'm more body conscience.

Klaudia I so need that set up. I may change my indoor porch into something like that.

Kate are you feeling better today. we all have those days when you want to cry. Irene brought a 5 piece samsonite suitcase set from penneys which was on sale, plus my discount, rewards certificate and newspaper discount. She ended up paying $47 for a $160 set. I ended up buying some baby shower gifts size 6months...winter stuff. I brought this in blue and tan.

Long day and late night for us yesterday-came home from the second b-day party at midnight! Slept in a bit today and just lazed around in bed-still having breakfast now:) Nothing on tap for today! Gonna workout, watch football, and make dinner. And it's beautiful out:)

Nina, great job on the run! Your crockpot concoction sounds yummy! PB does have some cool stuff, but it's super expensive. I'm all about Target and TJ maxx:)

Kate, hope today is better for you. Did you take it easy last night or did you end up doing legs?

Becky, I've never mowed in my life! My husband is Operations Manager for a landscape company and he still push mows our lawn-he likes doing it himself:)
