I SLEPT UNTIL 8 AM!! I NEVER DO THAT! It feels good, but I also feel guilty. We need to get groceries and other shopping done, then once I am back home I will do my workout I swear!!

Kate, I hope you got some good sleep! I sympathize with your situation -- I don't know how you do it all, I really don't!

good morning everyone. i have a cold, it is official. my nose and face feel so thick, and i am just tired, even though i got some rest last night. hopefully it will be over quickly. i did get up this am and did a nice 8 miler and some abs. hope to do gs back and bi 2x later. we will see.

kate, hugs to you!! i know how exhausting life can be, and i also know it can make one feel a tad unreasonable. sounds like you did a good job taking care of yourself last night though. hope today is restful.

katie, what are your up coming b-day plans? glad you slept in. it will make you feel good later.

i am going to take the dog out shortly for a walk - it is negative 4!! so, it will not be a terribly long walk. we have a play date later this am, then, no plans after. luckily, grocery and walmart are done! bbl
 
Good Morning Everyone!

Today's plans including buying a gift my niece who turns 1 next week, and laundrymax. I have been sleeping a little more than usual but I blame that on the cold weather and the stressful week at work. I have an employee who just doesn't seem to get it. I thought it was me and something I was doing until we had a team meeting on Friday and she kept asking "dumb" questions (I realize no question is dumb) for a 1/2 hour. My coworkers were really pissed that she wasted everyone's time. I am hoping this week is better.

Katie, don't worry about missing your workout yesterday. You need your rest so you are READY FOR STS.
Kate, hope you got a good night's sleep.
Morris, sorry about the cold. Good job running despite the cold. I know I can't always workout with a cold.

Morning well our heat wave is over. It's 30degrees outside :( No church today too cold. I'll watch it on the internet.

Kate how are your legs feeling and I hope you can get some extra rest.

Colleen sometimes people at work ask dumb questions for attention. And that is a waste of time.

Katie it's great that you slept until 8 for a change you may just need the extra sleep.

I'm happy to report I did get my workout done-at 6:30 last night. I did 20 minutes of HIIT: 5 min w/u @ 4.0 followed by 6 intervals of 1 min @ 9.0 and 2 min @ 4.0, and a 2 min c/d. Today is total body-maybe PP. My dad's coming at 12:30 to take the girls to a b-day party for his cousin's granddaughter. And we might have one of Darrin's college friends over for dinner this afternoon. I hope he calls soon to confirm a time so I can send Darrin out for supplies.

Morris, I do run at those speeds, but only for shorts bursts. When I run a 5k, it's usually at a 6-6.5 pace. I could never run like you-you're fast!

Katie, glad you got to sleep in-it's a luxury over here unless the kiddos are gone and then it's only til like8-9 at the absolute latest. I feel like a sloth when I do, but we all need it every once in a while.

Kate, how are your calves this morning? You have been burning a lot of midnight oil. Take a break! I know it's easier said than done, but you need it.

Colleen, hope this week is way better for you. My husband's been dealing with a lot of work stress, too. I'm so glad he's working out now. I think it's a total help.

Hiya!

Well, I'm finally feeling better. I slept in until 10:30 this morning and that seems to have made all the difference in the world. Ryan has been wonderful!

Today was spent basically hanging around the house. I'm trying to plan our trip to London and just having a hard time finding a good family friendly hotel that's close to the "tubes" and not a gazillion dollars!

Klaudia, great job getting your WO in!

Robin, hope you were able to stay warm today!

Colleen, sorry about your annoying coworker!

Katie, don't feel guilty... I slept 2.5 hours later than you! :)

Morris, sorry you are sick! Take it easy!

Kate, you have to go easy on yourself. You have a 3 month old. Take some time to just enjoy that baby and not worry too much about everything else that needs to be done!

Well, I'm hoping to be back in the swing of things tomorrow. Need to grocerymax. Not sure what WO is going to be on the docket since I missed most of the WOs for this week. :) Need to figure that out!

angie, when do you go to london? that sounds so neat. are you used to the grocery stores now? i always meant to ask you, how is it to drive where you are?

klaudia, i am going to try that speed on my next short run, probably wednesday. how was push pull? i dvred it last week but have not tried it yet. not sure what to do after ff's dec rotation.

robin, i will be interested in what rotation you do next. what are you looking to try? 30 degrees sounds wonderful, though i am sure you are cold.

colleen, i hope this week is better at work. sometimes the people you work with can make or break things....

well, i got gs back and bis done twice. i was quivering by the end, but it felt so good. now we are just hanging out relaxing. dh leaves for the week tomorrow, is home for the weekend, then gone again for the next week. i hope it flies. we will have a nice dinner of haddock, brocolli, and a potato for dh. yum!!

darrin is so helpful. i just sent mike to michaels to get posterboard for a project for isabel. on the way out he said "you owe me!".:p yeah, bud, like i dont keep your house up and raise yer chillun'!:p i do love him but its like pulling teeth to get him to do an errand!:rolleyes:

thank you everybody for your kind & supporting words. unfortunately im not doing much better today. im so tired i could cry and i have so much to do. im 100% overwhelmed right now. i know this is just short-term and it will pass as julia gets older but......but....but..... im tired!!!!:eek::eek::( its not the cleaning....i have my awesome cleaning lady for that, thank goodness. there are just all of these *things* to *do* and if im not running every spare second they dont get done. jeez, im really going on too much. sorry......

im going to find some energy reserves and slam out some more 1rms after i get the girls to bed. i hope sony takes a little longer to get sts to cathe!
 
Kate, you poor thing, I wish I was close so I could help you!! Please don't do any 1RM testing if you don't feel rested. Maybe you could get to bed early instead??

Colleen, I feel similarly about my job lately, and the stress is getting to me too. I did lots of sleeping this weekend, thankfully. Is the snacking still going well?

Klaudia, I thought of you while working out this afternoon. I went to do one arm rows and instead of grabbing the usual 20# db I grabbed a 25# instead -- I figure if you can use 35#, I can at least attempt 25#. And guess what, I did it!! 3 sets of 12 with 25#!

Angie, I meant to tell you that you were in my dream last night (not in a weird way, although it was a weird dream). Make sure to do a light workout tomorrow if you feel up to it.

Well I got my workout done -- did GS back and shoulders, then PS back and biceps, and then the low back / abs stuff. I want to do some LB ankle weight work but i'll have to wait until after dinner and see if I have time.

I'm getting ready to cook dinner -- steak tacos, YUM! The flank steak is marinating right now, i've been craving steak lately. And I just got a new cast iron grill / griddle so I wanted to use it tonight. I got the recipe from the "Eat This, Not That" book. I'll share the recipe if it's good!

Kate, doesn't seem like everything breaks at the same time. Yes, I have a Valentine's birthday.
Katie, let us know how the tacos turned out. Yes, I have been doing good with my snacks. Friday was not that great but I did not bring enough to eat.

Eats were good today except for a chocolate truffle after dinner. I am really pissed because I can't find my B&G DVD. I took it up to show my sister at Christmas and now I can't find it. I really want to do it this week. I have one more place to check - I hope it is there.
