Yesterday was so UNclean, I am ashamed to even come into this thread. Between being sick, and PMS, and Monday, I felt like everything was against me. I can only try to do better today.

Klaudia, chest flies with 30# dbs???:eek: That's nuts!!
Robin, "The Crud" is a sinus infection, I think. I ordered a 15# KB from GNC and I got the Iron Core Way V.1 from Target. I'll try it out this weekend.
Colleen, can you tell me about Amy's Slo Mo -- is it comparable to Cathe's GS or S&H? Hope your Monday was semi-quiet.

Please forgive me, my head is full of snot and other junk, and I can't remember what else was on y'day's thread.

WO done -- I did B&G warm up, walking lunges, squats, then floor work -- I got new ankle weights, 5# each leg, and YOWZA do my glutes ache!:eek:

Trying something new for b'fast -- oatmeal with a bit of maple syrup and ground flax -- it's YUMMY!

Anyone know where I can buy steel cut oats? I haven't been able to find then in my grocery store here.

Katie, I try and try to like oatmeal cooked and I just can't stand it. I made a steel cut oats recipe this weekend and it was *okay* but def. not something I'll make again. I get my SCO at a farmers market around here. Good job on the WO despite feeling bad! Sorry for the bad eats y'day, bu tlike you said, today is a new day.

Not sure on dinner. Drs appt for Gina at 3 (getting a painful plantar wart taken off!). By the time we get home from that there won't be much time for cooking so we may go out or if I've just plain had it it'll be pizza!:eek: If we do pizza I'll just have a small slice with lots of raw vegies on the side.

WO will be cardio, not sure what.
Did BM2 abs last night - oh, do you have a lot of work to do!:mad:
Colleen, I did a premix of YS last night too - I think I need to do the whole thing thru to get a better feel for it.

Anne I'm glad you are back on the wagon. Sometimes we all need a week off our w/o and diet, so that we can get it together the following week.

Morning! Okay, I didn't make it to tap class last night because the roads were really bad around here. I slipped and slid all the way home after work, so I decided to just stay in. I did do Low Impact Step, which is a good little work out. Then I did segment 1 of Total Body Stretching. I love that segment, especially after running. My legs and glutes are a little sore from SuperSets on Sunday, so it felt really good to thoroughly stretch my lower body.

Katie, I hope you feel better. Great job on the 5# ankle weights! I don't think I could handle 2# at this point.

Kate, great job on the eats and work out yesterday. I hope your doggie is doing okay.

Robin, wow! on that kettlebell move. That looks very effective.

Good Morning Everyone!

I think I caught the crud too. I have been on the edge for a couple of weeks and now I am just congested. I decided to move all my meetings for today and work at home. I don't always get enough water at work because I run around all day. Now that I am at home I can get plenty of liquids and relax a little. Workout was supposed to be Imax 3 but I think that is a little ambitious for today. I might try one of Amy's workouts.

Did anyone see that Tracey is offering free shipping this week. She is having weekly specials this month. I want to get Cardio Sweatfest but I don't know if next week's deal will be better.

Katie, I love Amy's Slo-Mo legs. I always get DOMS after that workout. I don't think the upper body is as good. She uses different exercises then Cathe and you do 2-3 sets of each exercise. It is a good way to mix things up.
Kate, sorry about Gina's planter wart. I had one a few years ago and it was painful. I couldn't workout until it was removed.
Robin, that Ab workout looks intense. I guess I could use a dumbbell until I get my kettlebells in February.
 
robin, ive used a bosu in place of a step for bm2 and its so much fun. my calves ACHE afterwards for days.:D i hope santa brings you one!;)

colleen, you and katie get rid of that sickness fast!!! thanks for the traey tip - im going to go order a couple!:D

i got 20 min of cardio done then julia woke up. so i'll do some more later....
 
Good morning!

I just got back from volunteering in Milla's class. My dad showed up to babysit with doughnuts-again! Thank goodness Darrin was still home to take care of them for me;) Today's workout is S&H Back, pulls ups, and a 30 minute run. Let's see how it goes.

Katie, I wish I could do flyes with 30#s! I used them for 3 sets of bench presses. I hope you fell better soon.

Kate, go with the pizza-then I won't feel so bad for my atrocious eating habits;) Ouch on the wart! Hope Gina heals fast.

Robin, what kind of results have you gotten with the KB training? I've been interested in trying them for the past three years-even found a few trainers in the area, but have been intimidated by the price. But if the results are worth it, I'll definitely be giving them a try.

Anne, I would've stayed home too! Good job on getting a workout in anyway. I'm going to incorporate some step back into my rotations after my 5k.

After my w/o I was so hungry that I ate two mini bagel and egg white sandwiches. What do you all eat before working out?

Klaudia I've only be doing k-bells for 2 week and the DVDs tha I have really works the upper bod and lower bod together. The cheepest k-bell is from Targets (Gofit.com). I think that is an American k-bell because it comes in 10, 15,20 pounds (Russian k-bells come in kg) For more of a challenge to my lower bod I may have to put on some weight buddies to my k-bell. Or maybe I should wear my 10# vest.

Kate 20min of cardio is great b/c you can do another 20mins later.

Colleen feel better. I'll check out Tracey site but I won't buy anything ;)

robin, after lifting i eat a clif bar, after cardio....ususlly nothing, just water. SHOULD i eat after cardio????:confused::confused:

well, i ruined my lunch - didnt cook the chicken long enough and didnt notice til i chopped it up and dumped it all over my salad!!! i ate whst i could but im still hungry!!! and julias nursing. repeat after me: "i will not eat mikes doritos!!!"

katie, feel better soon. amy's slo mo is fun for variety, but i must say i prefer cathe. it is not really similar other than the fact it is a split.

kate, great job with the eats and with the crdio. 20 min sounds great! how is mufasa?

klaudia, watch out for those donuts. i personally hate donuts. do not, however, park me in front of bread or nuts!

robin, you keep making me want to look at kettlebells! dh would shoot me, though, so i will stay away for a while....

anne, glad you are safe. i love lic - it is a good workout.

this am i did gs bsb, then i went to the gym and did the elliptical after taking the boys to school. felt good. my dr recheck is at 2:30. i am really anxious. very clean eats so far....

i did have soe cashews but i was very portion-controlled. ate a granola bar on the way to drs appt.

waiting for mike to bring dinner home. yes, pizza, but i dont know if im going to eat any or not. then again, i have no leftovers! so it looks like its portion-controlled pizza night!

Okay, I really am going to tap tonight. I don't think it has snowed at all today.

I'll be MIA for the next couple of days--traveling for work and I don't know how much computer I'll get away from work. We have a laptop at home now, I guess I could bring that, but I don't know if I feel like it. We'll see. The hotel where I'm staying has an elliptical and I have a couple iTrains on my MP3 player, so that will be good. I haven't had a chance to do those since I quit my gym last February. I couldn't justify an outrageously expensive gym membership AND two tap classes. Tap is way more fun than the gym!
