Happy Tuesday-Election-Day Morning to you, ladies!

What are you eating today? What are you working out to today? And are you voting today??:)
 
It is 4:50 am and I couldn't be happier to be awake! I slept great, and now I am up for an extra-long workout! Since I work for the court system, and courts are closed today, so it my office, so NO WORK FOR ME TODAY!! I have some errands to run, a dentist appointment, some cleaning to do, and OF COURSE a nap -- my FAVORITE hobby!

Workout this morning will be Kick Max warm up and combos 1, 2, and 3, then 4DS Kickbox (cardio & weights). I'm so excited!!

Food will be good today, I SWEAR. I am participating in the fruits and veggies challenge in OD.

B smoothie w/strawberries and protein powder
S apple slices, string cheese
L tuna, crackers, baby carrots
S banana
D cilantro-lime roasted chicken, chipotle-lime corn
 
Good morning, Katie, you ambitious little beaver! Hope you have a great day today! What is a day off???? Even on the weekends we can't seem to turn work "off"?

I'm goin' for a great day too:

s - I'll be teaching at preschool - we'll see
l - salad w/ grilled chicken, salsa

d - mexican something or other

Workout, per the Nov. rotation, is rest or cardio of choice. I'll do cardio of choice - just not sure which. Maybe Katie's kickboxing will inspire me!

l-lean cuisine panini (not really clean but tidy with 320 cal)
d- shrimp with pasta and veggies
s-not sure but nothing after 7

I did good with my snack last night. I ate 100cal popcorn before 7:00pm and nothing after that.

Robin, Good for you w/ your snack last night. Do you add any seasonings to your egg whites or just eat them plain? I always add in 1 egg yolk. I know there's the fat but there is also good nutrition in it too. I'm envious of your rest day! Looking forward to mine tomorrow. Whatever my cardio is today I think I'll keep it low impact - maybe LIC.

Great workout and menu plans, ladies!

All the kickboxing was super fun this morning -- my workout was about 1.5 hours, good thing I get a nap this afternoon! Collin is laying on the couch right now watching Sponge Bob, then he is going to get dressed and go to preschool for a little but while mommy has some down time!

I am starting to really like my protein shake in the morning -- it's about 1.5 cups of partially thawed strawberries and 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (24 grams). I get protein and fruit in in one yummy, easy drink!

Katie - I am so jealous you have a day off. I would love just to work 40 hours in a week. No voting for me because no one is up for re-election.
Kate - good luck at preschool today. Hopefully they will have a healthy snack you can eat.
Robin - I love Lean Cuisine Panini's even if they are clean they are a nice tidy treat.

w/o was Slo-Mo legs - I used lighter weights so hopefully I won't have DOMS (I have DOMS from shoulder and back yesterday - I dropped my laptop bag because it was too heavy for my shoulder.)
b: kashi flakes w/ almonds
l: tbd (either grilled chicken & veggies or a grilled chicken salad)
s: cheese stick, fruit
d: arroz con pollo (will be clean if I make my husband use lowfat cheese)

Hey Colleen I also make arroz con pollo. What ingredients do you use?

Kate I add onions and green peppers to my egg whites. I cook them with a little olive oil, because I'm a olive-loving-nut. Most people cook eggs with butter.
 
Katie - Glad you had a good workout - enjoy some alone time while C is at preschool - how long does his go? Ours is 2 hours - not much time to get anything done.

Colleen - Good day for you! The snack at preschool was def. unclean - It was a birthday so they brought brownies w/ pb cups & FROSTED! I DIDN'T HAVE ONE!!!!even tho the other moms did. V.proud of myself.

Robin - Your eggs sound yummy. I make mine w/ no butter or oil. I use either a nonstick skillet or a cast-iron skillet. I love to add red peppers into them.

My lunch ended up being a whole container of this yummy chock-full-of-veggies salsa (and a few tidy tortilla chips) & grapes. I am so full - it was so good & good for me! Will def. need some protein later though.

I ran to the market and bought purple cauliflower, its going to be yummy!
Im going to attempt MIS and Barr tonight! My back is holding up.

Steph - How do you prepare your cauli? I don't like it, but I suspect it's because I've never had it prepared well. Any tips?
 
Kate- you know what, i steam it in the mircrowave for 9 minutes, and dip them in tomato puree!
My DH likes it steamed, then sauteed in garlic, dill and olive oil in the pan...even better, cheese sauce :)

Kate, the place that Collin goes is actually daycare/preschool, so it is all day. My work day is 8 am to 430 pm, so he is usually there from about 7:50 to 4:40, haha (it is half a mile from my house to his school, then another two miles to work, I love it!)
 
Why am I sabatoging myself? It's like as soon as I see success, and the scale starts to go down, I start eating crap again!

Lunch today was NOT as planned, ate burger and fries at Wendy's instead...x(
 
I do the same thing Katie, when I drop some weight something in my brain says "eat fried foods now". It's like I am rewarding myself with fatty foods.
 
Katie & Robin I know just what you mean about unclean foods - I seem to do the same thing too. Stinks, huh? I ate pretty well today excpet for the tortilla chips. I know I didn't have too many, but a carb is a carb is a carb and my bod puts 'em smack on my belly! I just finished LowMax, so hopefully the damage won't be too bad!
