Good morning girls! Its an early morning for me but unfortunately no early workout - I'll have to sneak it in this afternoon. I have so much work to do and don't want to do it w/ the kids up. They love to watch Cathe (and do it too!) but they (and I) hate when I have to work in the daytime.

Last night DH worked late so I took DDs to ColdStone. I didn't order anything but I did "help" them w/ theirs....so maybe the calories don't count since they weren't *technically* mine???! Yeah, right!

Today is going to be so busy but going to be clean too:

b - smart start, banana
s - apple
l - romaine w/ asian-style chicken, grapes
s - ??
d - ?? DH will be late again & I have puppy class for Mufasa

In Mufasa'a class there are 2- bull mastiffs and a st. bernard too. How cool to have so many large breeds!

We're getting ready to go out of town for a few days so I'm trying to deplete my fridge....don't you hate that? Need to be very creative for dinner tonight. Maybe eggs. I'll miss checking in..and our #s are already dwindling!

WO will be PUB. I love that series. Need to start a rotation w/ it. I had really great results last time.

Kate my kids love Smart Start bec. of the sugar I guess. It suprised me bec. I usually eat Kashi w/o sugar. I guess I should have read the box closely.

I hope you feel better Sjeila (Swk18) and Mikkia...it must be a bug going around.

Kate I love PUB also, someday I'm going to try to do the combo of PUB/PLB 1 hour. Mufasa is in obedience class or how cute. He's not crying is he.My dog Pepe cries everytime he goes to the vet or to get groomed. He such a big baby.

D- whole wheat pasta and turkey

Yesterday I really ate clean in the a.m. but after 3p.m.I started having stomach pains....they did not stop until I ate dinner. I wonder....

Good morning Robin! I knew you'd be up w/ me!

Annie is good about going to the vet (she loves to go anywhere) but Mufasa still isn't sure about the whole leash thing. Hopefully class will help that! Mercifully, the crying has subsided.
What kind of dog is Pepe? V.cute name!

I eat my Kashi w/o sugar too. As far as the Sm.St...it is sweeter but I'd rather DDs eat SmSt than Lucky Charms which has NOTHING healthy in it.

Wish I could get the fam to eat ww pasta. DH has a *phobia* about it and he's passed it on to DDs. Grrrr....

Pepe is a grey and white "party-colored" min. poodle. When he was a pup he was white, grey and brown...I guess that's why no one wanted him (not show quality).

Kate, fridge dwindle day is hard, i totally understand, for me its usually cut up veggies, and i end up sitting and trying to eat them all in one sitting, could be worse i guess :)

Robin, hope your stomach is feeling better! Its all that clean eating :)

Last night i did Amy Bento's KBX and ab work. Great workout really.
Today, MIS/GS and Bar method.

So far, on track with my usual. Nothing exciting. We dont get smart start in Canada, at least i've never seen it. I'm a oatmeal junkie!

I have 2 dogs too Kate, puppy school was my favourite thing. It was so funny! We had some large breeds in class as well, my pug was less than 10 lbs then!!

Good Morning Everyone!

I haven't had a chance to catch up on yesterday's posts - I will try to do that later.

I had a meltdown last night and had cheetos and mac & cheese for dinner. I am expecting an offer from a company for a job and the company I am working for is putting me on a project next week. My company called and they are so excited about putting me on the project and I had to sit on the phone and pretend I was excited too. I have been trying to think of a way to give them a heads up, but I don't want to put myself in a bad position if this offer does not come through. I know in a couple of days this will all be resolved, but it is stressful when everything is up in the air.

Kate - my husband got an idea over the weekend that we should try to clean out the fridge. That lasted about 1 hour until he couldn't find anything to eat :)

Here's the plan:

w/o was Step Blast
b: shredded wheat w/ skim milk & almonds
l: probably a salad and watermelon
s: berries w/ yogurt
d: taco salad (we didn't have it last night)

Robin and Kate you two are up so early. I really need to get back to getting up at 5:30. When school starts it is the best time for me to work out.

Colleen: I am a stress eater. I reach for anything and everything. Good luck and keep us posted .

Steph: Is Amy Bento as advanced as Cathe? I have a hard time doing other instructors. I am always comparing to Cathe.

Swk and Mikkia: I hope the both of you are feeling better. My two sons have been sick with a cold and fever for the last few days. I am taking vit C to ward it off.

My W/O was B&G abs and Cardio Fusion the all step premix. Fun stuff.:)

Hi everyone,

Robin told me about this group so I thought I'd come check it out. I have to admit that I have no problem working out connsistently but eating right is so hard for me. I have a husband who is 6'5" and when he's working out regularly, he has a metabolism like nobody's business and it is so frustrating for me because he can eat whatever he wants and as much as he wants.

So I've just been doing Cathe for about 2 months and I have all of her Fit TV workouts recorded and am working with those for now. I'm hoping that the new software comes out before Christmas so I can request that and just start downloading her workouts rather than purchase them individually. The last thing I need is more fitness DVDs in my house!

So here is my plan for the day:

B- egg whites and morning star sausage patty
S- banana
L- South Beach Diet wraps (love these things)
S- mandarin orange
D- Chicken Caesar salad (I'll sacrifice and use the fat free dressing while my husband drowns his in fatty stuff!)

A little background on me: I have 2 daughters (2.5 and 14 mos) and have been working out pretty regularly my whole life. Did fitness classes in college that I loved but couldn't find a good gym after I got married and a friend recommended the Firm so I did that for about 2 years (with a bit of tae bo mixed in) and then after I had 2 kids 18 mos apart I discovered Turbo Jam (which I love) and did that for a few months before I took a stab at the X! I thought it was a good workout but I just don't have the time for it and while I know it's a great program, I think it's rather boring. So after I finished that (not well, mind you) I went back the the firm and TJ. About 2 months ago a friend told me about Fit TV and I discovered Cathe (I had remembered hearing her name on the Beach Body threads but never investigated) and I AM IN LOVE!

Anyway, I am hoping to just find some support here. I don't have much weight to lose (if any) but just really want to tone up. I'm about 5'3" and am weighing in right now at about 121. Don't mind if I gain weight as long as it's from muscle.

Usually do my workouts at 5 AM as it's hard to get it in any other time of day with 2 little ones. Don't want to "waste" their nap time working out!

Didn't get up this morning to work out because I go to bed late and actually went to the gym and did an interval elliptical workout (30 sec spring 90 sec recovery). 40 minutes of that and I was sweating my butt off. So anyway, think it's going to be a rest day.

Short term goal: my husband's ten year high school reunion is in 4 weeks and I'd like to look as toned and fit as possible. This is my high school too but I was one year behind him. But most of my friends were in his class so it's like a reunion for me too.

Okay, long enough intro...

This is a great group, i hope you enjoy it.

Elaine, i've only done Amy Bento's KBX, i really like it. I too only do Cathe workouts, nothing compares, but i really like kickbox, and there are few and far between good high impact/intenisty ones i find!

Steph: The only other kickbox and instructor I've done in a long time is Kimberly Spreen. I enjoy her AbsoluteKickboxing.

Wow two little ones to take care of. My kids are two years a part so I know what you are going through. You are right men and women gain and lose weight differently. You have a good meal plan and I also like the South Beach wraps. Four weeks until the big reunion you must be getting excited.:eek: Well stick with Cathe and you will toned your muscles... even muscles you never knew you had :D

Colleen I hope you get the new job. I remember when I got the job I have now my (former) supervisor learned about it when human resource department told her. Boy was she mad x( but this was the only way I could transfer to another hospital, closer to home. If she knew about it in advance...hhhhmmm I would have never gotten this job.
