Back from Nevena's class. I just wanted to say thanks for the support. It means a lot knowing I have you guys here to share the good and the bad. Robin, I think you're right-she's completely oblivious to it. Darrin suggested I make it a joke the next time she asks to drop by or go out like, "That sounds good-whacha bringing?" or "Are you treating?" And Angie that's exactly how I felt-stunned. I'm going to stay on the down low for a while. The sad thing is, I really enjoy her company otherwise-she's very supportive, likes to work out, etc. Sigh. The good thing is, I'm more conscious of my behavior toward people. And I know that friendship, like marriage, is never truly 50-50. Someone's always giving and taking more/less. Thanks for being here:)

Gotta go get a snack-almonds and an apple. Breakfast was kashi.

kate, no time for swimming - it would take away from kids, and i am working too much for that.

robin, i am short, and i build muscle in my legs. in the mirror my legs don't "look" bigger, and they are fairly "cut" but the pants tell a different story. i knew that would happen if i went from running 50-60mpw to just non wt bearing. oh well.

klaudia, i have friends like that too, and sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad. being direct is good, though, i think.

hi colleen - what is on tap at work today?

i am not going near those cookies - once i decided that, i felt better. now i just need more carrots and brocolli:eek:

Okay, I know I posted this before but I need some input. This is the rotation I'm thinking of doing next month:

Body Max 2
35 min walk/run interval (walk 1/run 3) plus seg 1 core max
GS BSB
OFF
Imax 2
Leaner Legs plus segment 2 of core max
GS Chest & Triceps plus 20 min brisk walk

GS Legs plus seg 3 core max
4DS Boot Camp
4DS LIS
OFF
4DS Kickbox
4DS HIS
45-60 min pilates or yoga

Drill Max
Butts and Guts
GS Chest/Tri just premix 2 plust 20 min run
Cardio Fusion Plus Stability Ball Abs from Butts and Guts
GS Legs
KPC
GS BSB Do shoulders and then Premix #2

Cardio Kicks plus core max seg 1
Legs and Glutes
Rhythmic Step
OFF
GS Chest & Triceps
4DS kickbox
GS BSB

Does it seem a little "leg" heavy to any of you? i.e. leaner legs day 6 of week one and then GS legs day 1 of week two? Then butts and guts and GS legs in week 3? Am I just a legs weakling? Any other thoughts about this rotation? It's Cathe's modified version of her Jan rotation...

Okay Angie, here are my thoughts... I like the rotation, love it actually, my body responds really well to frequent leg training. In week one, day one, I would do BM2 combos and power circuits (with leg stuff), abs, but skip the UB stuff. In week two, I might switch 4DS BC with GS Legs to give your legs a bit of a break. WARNING, GS will probably make you fairly sore the first time you do it, so the next day's cardio (LIS) will be easy and will loosen you up. The only problem I see potentially is that you will also work shoulders that day, and your shoulders will be used in GS Legs getting the bar over your head, just be careful or sub dumbbells instead.

I'm so excited for you to try GS!!

On my lunch hour, i'll do the best that time allows here...

Robin, thanks for the compliments on my rack;) I think *both* of my racks are quite nice, it I do say so myself!:p I am considering doing STS with BOTH plyo legs and the squat rack routines. How crazy am I??

Klaudia, I had a friendship like that recently. I think she thought our friendship was "comfortable" enough to come over, eat my food, take advantage, etc. while she went out to expensive dinners, etc with other couples. If you value the friendship, then talk to her about it. If not, cut your losses!

Okay, Ply Legs... After the warm up, you alternate an endurance based LB move with 30 seconds rest, then 30 seconds of a plyo move, 30 seconds rest, then repeat. KILLER. I was soaked when I was done. Plyo moves are squat jumps, plie jacks, lateral skates, lateral hops, quarter turns (jumping), air jacks, tuck jumps, etc. Strength moves were lunges (front, rear, 45*), sit n' stands, sit n' slides, squats, plie squats, leg press, etc. Totally awesome!

Okay, back to work:rolleyes: BBL for more personals!

%^&*$^$!!!!!!!! i lost a post!

robin, 41 sounds positivelt balmy! i'll take it!

klaudia, i like darrins idea. you could say "im totally out of groceries. any chance you could bring snack for the girls?"

morris, understand aboutthe swimming.
"no cookie" vibes comin atcha! sugar slows the metabolism!!

katie, both plyo ans s'rack sound great. too hard to choose!

eats are squeaky! feels so good!

Kate I hate when that happens

Katie I was watching one of the plyo and at one point Lorraine said "Oh My Gosh" while shaking her head. You couldn't hear it but you can read her lips. Now you know I'm scarred but the guys look sooooo good.

Hey girls, company gone and I'm pooped. Ended up not making pasta salad but fruit salad instead. It was yummy. He does speak English - the only other American here. Unfortunately, he's single and no kids! :(

Don't have time/energy for personals - too tired. I'll check in in the morning.

Kate, thanks for your thoughts about the rotation. I'm starting to get all sorts of confused b/c the 4DS in week two are supposed to be the entire WOs (with the weights) so there is leg work 2 times in a week again. I'm sure it was intentional...

OK... time to watch Lost. Night all.

Katie, I am so tempted to the do the Pylo legs tomorrow instead of B&G but I miss doing floorwork with my legs. Thanks for giving us the preview.
Kate, I hate when I lose posts too. The power went out yesterday and I lost some of my work. I was really pissed.
Morris, I have a new position at work and I don't know what I am supposed to be doing. It is very frustrating because it sounds like 3 people are supposed to do the same thing so we step on each other a lot. Very frustrating and demotivating.

I just got out of a meeting with my coworker who has the same job title as me and we both complained that we don't know what we are doing. She is going to schedule a meeting with our bosses boss to tell him how she feels. I am not always that direct and I don't know if I should do the same thing. I feel like if I do that I will leave a negative impression that will cost me later. But if I say nothing then nothing will change. Thanks for letting me vent.

oh colleen, good luck! that is so hard. as far as the wo, why not tack some floor work on?

uh oh, gotta run again - sorry

Ack! Crazy busy today! Will be back later, I promise! (I know, I said that earlier, but I mean it this time!)

anne

i'll be in this chair for, oh, about an hour.
come chat with me!

Okay, can I do personals tomorrow? I promise I will. It was a crazy day at work today and tonight I have to start packing.

I did Rhythmic Step this morning and it was pretty fun. I love that workout, but it's a little long. At least it felt that way this morning. I am one workout away from completing a 4 week rotation for the first time in my life. Thank you, Angie, for inviting me to do it with you, I never would have done it on my own. I've trained for longer periods for races, but somehow following video rotations for a month has eluded me. Now I know I can do it! It's only 5 work outs per week these last two weeks, but I'm okay with that given my weekend travel schedule.

I'll be back in the morning. Kate, your bread sounds delish!

anne

Glad today is over. Now I need to figure out what to have for dinner. I believe DH is at happy hour (although we talked about it yesterday - he never said definitively he was going), so I am on my own and I realized there is not much to eat here. I haven't decided if I will scrounge and put something together or just run out and pick up something. Hmmmm...

Kate, you still here??

Colleen, mmmm happy hour. I could care less about the drinks, but I love greasy bar food! Makes you feel like sh*t later!

Anne, no sweat, I'm the Queen of "i'll do personal's tomorrow." By the time I get home and have time, everyone is gone for the day and no one will read them. ^5 on the rotation, what an accomplishment!

I made hamburger steak, steamed broccoli, and mashed cauliflower for dinner -- and everyone in my family ate it, and LIKED it!

I am exhausted and my butt is aching! But I keep thinking about that plyo workout and I wanna do it again!!
