Morris, when I broke my foot, I really wasn't an exerciser so I can't speak to that. But I was off of crutches and into a boot within 3 weeks I think.
Colleen, I feel you on the busy meeting wednesdays. I can't stand wednesdays. Hope today is better!

Morrris ColleenAngieAnne thanks for asking. I've just started with k-bells. So far it very different than regular d-bells because there is a technique to it. I'm plan to do cardio and k-bells for Nov and Dec to get ready for STS. This way when we start STs comes in the mail. I won't be bored with weight training. The main adv when using k-bells is that you only need one or two. Y-day I used my 15# k-bell and boy I can feel it in my back, arms thighs and shoulders. I think I may do one of Cathe weight training per week.

Angie I agree muscle definition comes from how you eat. Body builders diet like crazy a few weeks before competition. They eat very little carbs and no fats (no even olive oil). At the time I don't think they care much about their hearts, they just want to win.

Morning, everyone! Not much to report today. I did Timesaver workout #2 last night and it was great. My cardio capacity has suffered, too, from not working out for about a month. I'm sure it'll come back, I just have to be consistent. If I could just get up in the morning and get it done before work, but I'm *such* a sleepyhead that I stay in bed. Sigh. I'll keep trying, though, and get back in the early AM habit. Especially with the holidays coming up I need to get back on the bandwagon.

Katie, good luck getting caught up today. I need to do that, too.

Kate, you are brave if you're going to go to Meijer with two little ones. Do you go to the one on the west side? I was there the other night, but don't go often. DH hates crowds and that one is usually busy when we're available for grocery shopping. But, we needed a plate or something for the microwave and decided to try there. I was making microwave popcorn not long ago and the glass dish in the bottom cracked in half! It was the second time it happened, so we decided to go with a cheap alternative. We'll see how it works. I haven't tried to make popcorn again yet. Thanks for asking about the fam--everybody seems to be doing okay.

Morris, how did you break your foot? I hope it heals quickly.

Colleen, Tuesday is my busy meeting day. I never feel like I get anything done on Tuesdays. I hate that.

Good morning!

Getting ready to go to Nevena's class. Today is my rest day. I think I'm gonna walk on the treadmill later though-indulged in ice cream with crushed Oreo's and syrup with the girls last night!

Katie, my actual anniversary is on Saturday. And from the looks of the weather, I may be a "Snow Widow" that night. DH will have to go out and salt/plow if we have any accumulation. Ah, well. We'll make it up somehow;) I love the cardio premix on BM2. I haven't stepped in a while. I'm going to add it back in after my 5k next month.

Kate, Have fun on your date:) One kid is better than three, that's for sure. I've done the Meijer thing with all three in tow-not a good time! I've come to the conclusion that shopping is best done alone-it's like a date with myself:)

Robin, my DH built us a pull up bar from an extra barbell! He mounted 2x4's in the studs of the basement ceiling. Cheap, but it works.

Anne, keep it up! I wish I could get up in the am, too. But, no. I console myself with the fact that studies show it's better for your body to workout in the late afternoon/early evening cause your body temp is optimal then. And I did make the frittata. I added broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, and onions, and 2% shredded cheddar-so good and relatively healthy.

I know what you mean Annie the holidays are just around the cornor. And oh no Thanksgiving is just 2 weeks away. I need to lose 5# before that day. So that's my new goal. Who with me?:D

I could not pick up the k-bell today so after the cardio I di Amy ASC3 resistance tubing core work. I had the wrong sneakers on and kept snapping myself with the tubing. :rolleyes:

i did swim for an hour,but i hate it when i do not eat clean - the last week ahs been so good too.

anne, i am a morning exercise addict - i can run 10 miles in the am (when i do not have a broken foot!), but would struggle with 5 in the afternoon. you gotta do what works, though. i am trying to be flexible right now until i can do more impact cardio as cannot go swim at 5 am and leave my little ones.

okay, must go pick up kiddos - wish me luck with my crutches. also, must keep it clean for the rest of the day as i cannot undo what i have done:(
 
morris, sorry for the fight. i am not too pleased w/ my dh right now either. men! i know hes stressed w/ work but cmon! im a stress eater too, and a boredom eater, and a .....well, you get the picture!;):eek::D glad you got your swim in...

Afternoon everyone... you guys were chatty today!

I DID IT! I made it to the gym and did a triple cardio class. I was done about 45 minutes in when she started doing tuck jumps. I started feeling dizzy and had to stop but it was a great WO. Will try to figure something out for tomorrow too. Eats have been so-so. I went to the grocery store to buy a few cleaner/lower fat things and had a lean cuisine today for lunch and having a soft preztel for a snack (vast improvement from pizza and cookies!).

Thanks to everyone who's asking how I'm doing. Things are good. I miss Ryan and can't believe he's only been gone 5 out of 16 days! :( We leave as a family on Nov 30 but he comes back on the 25th.

Katie, glad you're having a productive day. I miss BM2. Can't wait to get my Cathe workouts back! We are going to have a WO room in our new house which I'm so pumped about!

Kate, I don't blame you for not braving meijer. I had to shop with both girls today and I have never had to shop wtih kids in crummy weather so this was a new one for me! YUCK!

Robin, I'm glad you're liking your kettelbell workouts. I'm totally up for losing 5# before Tgiving! I'm not sure I can do it but I'll try. I'll have to weigh myself tomorrow... no clue what I weigh!

Anne, I struggle with working out in the AM too. But I also can't do it at the end of the day - 9 AM is about perfect for me and I figure that will work out well once my kids are in school in France!

Colleen, you are always so busy! :) I hope you get a rest soon. I'm glad you had that vacation!

Morris, I am a TOTAL stress eater. It's horrible. Especially when it's TTOM! Your "stress eating" is way better than mine though! I didn't see any cheetos or hohos in there! :)

Well, I'm going to try to figure out what I'm going to do at the gym tomorrow!

I'm here! Just got back from picking up Danica from dance. And she's still dancing:) Had chili lime salmon with roasted aparagus and and sweet potato-yum. And the fish was marinated and frozen, but it was really good.

Angie, great job on the workout! The end of the month will be here before you know it:0If it makes you feel any better, I don't know anyone who ISN'T a stress eater or a boredom eater.

Kate, where'd you go on you date? How was Julia?

Morris, take heart. Every meal is a chance to eat clean(er). And from the looks of your menu, it really isn't as bad as you think. Hope your day got better.
