LATISHA :eek: why are you showing me 100% All natural Brownies...it's TTOM and any brownie right now looks good to me. I really want to try these especially because they have 6g of Fiber. Where do they sell these?:9 :9 :9 Let me know how they taste. I think anything that is 100% natural is clean.

Workout this am will be my new Amy Bento(sp?)dvd.
B-yogurt with strawberries and blueberries with flax on top
l-italian wedding soup, clean version (I hope this is the end of it, I have been eating it for 3 days)
D-Left over chicken and quinoa(recipe follows)

8 pieces of chicken part bone in, with skin off
2 TBS olive oil
1 c. chopped onion
2 tbs minced garlic
1tsp cumin
1 1/2 c. white wine
1 c. chicken broth
juice of one lemon
2 tbs capers drained and chopped
4 roma tomatoes seeded and diced
1/2 c, chopped cilantro
1 tbs butter
3 c cooked rice or quinoa (its what I used)

Season chicken with salt and pepper, heat 1 tbs of oil in a big 5 quart pan on mod high and cook chicken until golden on all sides about 8 minutes. Transfer chicken to another plate and then cook onion in the remains in the pain for 2 min add wine and simmer until reduced by a third. Stir in broth, juice, capers and tomatoes. Return chicken to the pot and simmer covered for 35 min. Stir in cilantro and butter and serve over rice.

Robinj-Quinoa is a type of whole grain that is similar to couscous. It has a lot of protein and it always a whole grain, just something different to try.

Robin, i think all natural is clean, there is question i think about sugar, i'm someone that sugar doesnt agree with that well!

This morning, up at 4am and did MM, will do my new legs Classical stretch after work.

B: usual oatmeal....so far, that's it!
I'm getting so frustrated, my colleague at work keeps taking days off, and since its a hospital, i have to cover the service. Now i'm stuck the next week covering my own patients, and all of hers, and i'm on call this weekend!! What can you do though?
Anyways, enough of my whining!!

Hi Robin, Mikkia, and Steph (hang in there Steph!!). After a week or so of having an allergy flare up (I tend to eat *ahem* a little less clean when under the weather).

B: Kashi cereal with skim milk, tea with cream and sugar
s: unsweetened applesauce
l: field greens salad with balsamic vinagrette, Amy's Frozen mattar paneer dinner
s: green tea with splenda, 100 calorie pack cookies
d: TBD (will try my best to keep it clean!!)


I don't know if the above truly qualifies as clean but its what I can handle now. I plan to start a food diary so I can work on getting my cholesterol levels more in line with what I like to see although my docs says there are no worries.

BTW, I do have to say that as far as frozen dinners I love the Amy's. They taste pretty good, are higher in fiber and lower in sodium. So if any of you need something fast...

Wondered where you've been, sorry to hear about the allergy problems. Let me know if i can help with the cholesterol, food record stuff, that's my job!

Good morning Robin,Mikkis,Steph and Beaves and all follow,

My son's play went well. He remebered all his lines and looked great.
It was a shakespare play and he had a lead role. He had over 200 lines to remeber.DH and I were so proud of him.

Robin and Mikkia: Quinoa sounds good. I've been seeing a lot of recepies for it. I may buy some at the store today.

Steph: I work in a hospital too. I know what your saying. Hang in there.

Beaves: I"m right there with you on trying to eat clean again. I'm taking one day at a time.

Okay, well last night we celebrated with ice cream. Mine was the fat free kind but I had way over the portion size, but it was good!:9

I really neeed to start planning my meals again. I do so much better when I do that.

Hey Steph! I got a BS degree in nutrition then I went on to nursing school, I have been a RN for 8 years! I loved nutrition, but at the time I graduated the only jobs available were in the kitchen at the hospital, or calculating TPN, or my favorite overseeing a prison nutrition program. So I went to nursing school. Now I use both degrees at a Dr. office (DH's). I have to say I am glad to have escaped the hospital, at least for a while. Hang in there!

Hey Mikkia,

That's great!! I had no idea. I work in a hospital, but i do half of my time outpatients, and half of my time with in patients. I do HIV/Oncology. I see everything from diabetes, to cholesterol, to TPN and enteral/IV management. The prison job...we have many patients from jail, so i feel for them sometime. What kind of Doc is DH?

Hi Everyone!

It seems we have a few people in the medical field. I always wanted to do that, but I can't I seem to pass out when I am at the dr's office and they ask me about their systems. I am sure there is an interesting note on my chart ;-)

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to read through everyone's posts but I hope everyone is well. I am in the process of switching jobs and I am really excited. Good job and more money :) This will allow me to support my DH's part-time consulting work. Unfortunately, my current employer gave me a really hard time about leaving.

I have been about 80% clean today, I splurged on pizza after a very long day. Otherwise a clean day. My w/o was Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Step Mix. It was tough but fun.

Have a great evening and I will try to catch up over the weekend!
