Hi all, so good to be back! Well, we've been here for 12 days now. I can't believe that we only just got internet yesterday. It's been pretty crazy. Things just move so much more slowly here - in so many ways!
Our flight over was amazingly easy. The girls did so well. They both slept for 4+ hours which was awesome. Then they also slept the 1.5 hour drive from the airport to our house.
We weren't able to stay in our house the first night because the boxes with our bedding didn't come until the next day so we stayed at a hotel. That was a rough night because the girls weren't tired at all and we were up from about 12-4 a.m!
MIL came with us and stayed 4 days which was a huge help. We spent the first few days unpacking and going to the stores to buy the essentials (vacuum, toaster, hair dryer/straightener!).
The house is adorably cute and I think I will love it when we are all settled. We actually have a WO room which I've never had and I'm so excited. The problem is we have no TV for it yet and nothing to put said TV on!

So, needless to say, WOs have been non-existent for me thus far.
Eating has been pretty strange. Lots of ham/cheese combos. For some reason, they're really big on jambon et fromage!! The grocery store has been a huge challenge for me. I haven't quite figured out how the clean eating thing is going to work without my staples of kashi and clif but I'm sure I'll figure something out. Lately, we're just eating what's easy.

Lots of pasta, some pizzas, chicken, etc. Kate, I would love some suggestions on easy ways to season meat/veggies/potatoes for some healthy meals for the fam that don't require bottled marinades and weird ingredients.
The meeting at the preschool (maternelle) this morning went really well. It's a small school with 4 classrooms. Two for 2/3 year olds and one for 3/4 year olds. Primary school starts at 4 but I think Annabel missed the deadline since she just turned 4. Plus, since she is nowhere near fluent in french, she'll do better in the preschool for this year and move the the primary in the fall. Ellie will actually get to go too which is exciting for me because she just needs something to do and so desperately wants to be with her big sister. So, they're going to start school January 5. They go from 9-12 and I will pick them both up for lunch from 12-2 and then Annabel will go back from 2-5. When I think Ellie is ready (probably not until fall) she will go full day. And when Annabel is ready (and I'm ready) they can stay for lunch - we can buy them tickets. I'm just not ready to have them gone for the WHOLE day! It's going to be overwhelming for all of us.
BUT, it's going to be great b/c it means that I will have consistent WO time! I will WO after I drop them off at 9 every morning! I'm so excited to try all the new ones that I bought! They're all just collecting dust right now! I also bought a new heartrate monitor that counts calories and keeps track of your WOs for the week! I'm pumped to try that as well.
OK.. I read through all the posts from the last 12 days and I'll try to do some personals later. THe girls need lunch!
BBL...
