Good Morning ladies!!

I got 5 hours or so of sleep last night - TTC practice :rolleyes::p

Only FOUR working days this week - God Bless Lee and Jackson for being SO AWESOME that I get Friday off of work! AND Martin Luther for Monday off (next week). It's times like this that I LOVE working for the state!

I'm starting the January rotation this morning - STS M1W1D1 :eek:
 
Morning girls!!!

I'm finally home and trying to get back to normal. Our flight home was uneventful but when we got back to the house we realized that our heat had shut off and had probably been off for about a week so we turned it on full blast but with radiators, it takes a really long time to heat up. So, we ended up staying in a hotel the first night which was fine and everyone actually slept really well. Then last night our house was warm enough upstairs to sleep here but I couldn't fall asleep until almost 3 so I slept until almost 9:30 this morning so hopefully I'll be able to get to bed a little earlier tonight. Ryan's at work so we are going to try to have a "normal" day. The girls probably won't go to school until Thursday would be my guess.

My classes start today! So I'll have to get checked in on that. Pretty crazy! Haven't worked out in about a week which is sad. Our last week home was just crazy. Don't plan to get one in today so will likely start up tomorrow. I'm hoping to do about a 3 month rotation with moderate to heavy weights so I need to try to figure out what to do. I'd like to do Cathe's Jan rotation. Does anyone know what "older" weight workouts would match well with the different mesos?

Anyway, I know I've missed a lot around here. I'm looking forward to getting caught up with all of you.

Katie, SOOOO exciting about TTC!!! :D:D:D And that's awesome that you get all that time off. I used to love working for the State! Lots of 3 and 4 day weekends!! Good luck with the Jan rotation! Do you have specific goals? Will you be running?

OK, it's 11:30 and we haven't eaten bfast... should probably get on that. I'll be back later!

Laura and I KICKED BUTT on DblWave last night!!! Then we did STS med ball abs and partner abs too. We had so much fun!! I hope I'm good and sore by tonight. (Haven't even rolled out of bed yet!)

Busy day ahead - work @ kgarten and Gina has an ortho appt right after that.

b - eggs, bacon, veggies, fruit
l - grilled chicken salad w/ veg & fruit
d - NO CLUE.. Won't get home til dinner time. How do you working people do it?!?!
WO - CS this AM, and hopefully weights tonight.

Too bad getting back into the swing of things, time zones, sleep and everything takes so long !!:( Hope it is easier this time.

Week two of the STS rotation, I think it's disc 4 today.....chest, biceps and triceps, maybe ???? :confused: Will have to take a peek to be sure.

Not sure Angie, but I would think this first month is endurance with lighter weights so you'd do ME and any other endurance type workouts for weights to start.

Hey all, can't believe it's 2 already. Guess that's what happens when you stay in bed until noon. Oops.

Kate, busy day! I'm worried about how my days will be so crazy when I'm working but also know that I work well under "stress" and need to have organization to my days in order to actually function well. :) Have fun at kgarten! Your WO sounds so fun last night. I need to try double wave! I've only done step moves, athletic step, and 30/30.

Becky, thanks so much for your sweet words about my pics. We did have an amazing time and I was happy with myself. It was a good feeling! That's fun that you're doing the STS rotation as well. Thanks for the info about meso 1.

Robin, the classes I'm taking this semester are Anatomy of the Speech Mechanism and Language, Speech & Hearing Development. Should be interesting. I'm nervous about the anatomy class cuz I've heard it's a lot of work so that's why I only took 2 classes this semester. Prob will take 3-4 next time. Are you doing CLX as a rotation or just for fun? Turkey wings sound yummy! Has your work sched slowed down?

Going to look through my syllabus for the 2nd class and then get some unpacking done!
 
Angie you are right organization is the key. I'm doing my own CLX/new Cathe stuff rotation this month and I'm not sure about next month. I was looking at RevAbs but do I really need another w/o???:confused: My work schedule is back to normal.

I need help! I haven't been able to get back to my workouts consistently and feel like I'm floundering. Eats are meh. I don't know how to get myself back on track. And the longer I go, the harder it's going to get. Any advice?

Weekend went by way too fast-cleaning on Saturday and tons of cooking yesterday-I made a frittata, turkey chili, broccoli chicken pasta skillet, and 2 loaves of Nina's cinnamon bread:) But no workouts! Trying to figure out what I want to do today-I babysit and we have dance tonight.

Katie, sorry about the lack of sleep-but it's for a good cause!;) Hope you had a great workout!

Angie, how exciting to be starting something new! I'd love to take some classes. Maybe that's what I need-I think I may go research fitness certification programs today:)

Becky, thanks for the support re DH and his job. You think I'd be used to it by now, but it still gets to me. Have a great workout!

Robin, post the recipe for the wings! Speaking of new workouts-I want Brazil Butt Lift! But I haven't even opened SC yet!
 
Okay, you guys won't believe this, but I actually got up and exercised before work today. I know what you're thinking, "Oh no she didn't!" But, yes, I did! I did HiiT 30/30 and the abs from TravelFit. So, I'm a week behind the Jan. rotation, but that's okay. The Hiit work out was supposed to be 40/20, but that one just scares me. At least I did a HiiT work out, right?

Kate, I just got caught up on the thread from Friday--thanks for the kind words about the recital last year. How was M's birthday? You have a busy day ahead.

Clintonya (also from last Friday), I don't know what that move is called, but toe stand slides sound about right. I'm not a particularly good dancer, I just have good balance, which is what that move takes, I think. Was your busy weekend good? Oh, and what are your bean tortillas? I love all food Mexican.

Angie, welcome back! I'm so glad you had a good trip. I know it's hard to get back into the groove, but I thrive on routine as well.

Robin, how did you do the turkey wings? I'm not a big turkey fan, but if they're covered in sauce, that's another story...

Becky, did you get your work out done? You're a week ahead of me on the rotation; you'll have to tell me what to watch out for.

Katie, that was worth less sleep, right? Are you doing the Jan. rotation? If so, I'd love to do it together. I totally bailed on you on the 100 pushup challenge. I'll do better with this--I am determined to get back into the work out routine. It helps me manage stress.

Klaudia, what do you have on tap today?

Colleen, was it hard to get up out of your new bed today? It would be for me.

Lisa, how was your weekend?

Wendy, are you going to the gym today? How is JJ? Was he up super early again?

and I they've asked me along. What do you guys think? I'm pretty sure I can swing it budget-wise, but I'm also not sure if I care about the money part. I just want to go. It's something to look forward to and these are really good friends I've known a long time, but they live on the west coast now, so I rarely see or talk to them. I have one conflict at work, but I think I can make arrangements for that. Give me your advice, please!

Good Morning Everyone!

Crazy morning this morning. I got a phone call from my bank about potential fraud on my cc. Turns out I don't recognize one of the transactions so I had to cancel my card and now wait for a new one. Ugh! I did STS Disc 4 - Chest, Shoulders & Bi's. I think I need to go a little heavier on my bi's for next week.

Katie, sorry about the lack of sleep but it is a short week! Yeah!
Kate, the only way I can make dinner is 30 minute meals. If it takes any longer than we don't make it. Tacos are a good one for a weeknight.
Klaudia, I want BBL too but I haven't tried all the SC's and the workouts I got for Christmas so I am on a self imposed hold for new workouts. Good thing my bday is in Feb.
Angie, back to school - it was smart to start off slow so you can get back into the swing of things. You can use PH, SS and ME for Meso 1.
Becky, I agree the weekend was too short.
Robin, never thought of putting wings in the slow cooker. Good idea!

Hi Angie, glad you had a safe trip back. I’m Clintonya, live in Va., have 2 girls, and trying to get to keep myself on track with eating and working out!! Good luck with the classes, I just finished up some at the end of Dec. and am looking to see what I can do next.

Kate, those med ball abs always make me sore – hopefully they will for you too :D

Becky, I will also be doing disc 4 today because I am going to take my rest day tomorrow.

Robin, the wings do sound good, I am already starving for the day, probably this rotation:(

Klaudia, don’t know if it will work for you, but sometimes it really helps me if I put on a pair of pants that are not too comfortable.

Klaudia, I can't believe you haven't even opened SC! OPEN IT GIRL! After all these months of anticipation. I'm sure it will help motivate you! New workouts are always SO fun! What's going on with D's job? Is it just the plowing yuck? (((HUGS)))

Anne, WTG on getting up and working out. I'm so proud! AND GO ON THE CRUISE! You will have a fabulous time. As you know, I heart cruising. :) I was not a huge fan of Belize but I'm sure you can figure out how to avoid my issues! I was just annoyed b/c our excursion was over an hour away from the port and we didn't get to do all the things we had planned b/c the company was disorganized. If you do a ship excursion though, you should be able to avoid that. Plus, it's like 6 weeks away... no super long wait like me! Book a mini-suite. We're going on a NCL ship this summer and that's what we booked.

Colleen, bummer on your CC issues! I hate stuff like that. Thanks for the meso 1 suggestions. Are you doing the Jan rotation as well? I wish I could get STS. Your menu looks great as usual.

Clintoya, sorry I've been MIA since you started checking in. I'm sure you've figured out a few things but here's my info: We live in northern France with my husband's job (Caterpillar). We've been here a year and will be here another 18 months or so. We have 2 daughters - Annabel is 5 and Ellie is 3. What kind of classes have you been taking? Welcome to our check in!

Colleen, I know that is not how you wanted to start the week :( Hope the rest of the day goes much better. Did you do sts before, if so, did you start with the same lbs from last time or retest?


Anne, the cruise sounds great – go, go, go!! Autumn was saying their floor is so slick she would end up right on her butt if she tried those :) You can’t fool me, I am sure you are good, those are hard :D And great job on getting the workout in, especially the hiit!!!

Turkey in slow cooker. Easy. I season with sea salt, garlic, and pepper the night before. Then I got up early threw the wings in the crockpot with 1/4 cup of water and let them cook for about 6 hours on high.


Klaudia it's hard getting on the bandwagon. You need to set a goal. Gaining 5# usually motivates me:rolleyes:. How about a new goal to lift heavier weights by 5%. This may motivate you to do a rotation. Also you can reward yourself when you w/o for a week, month etc. I give myself stars on my calendar when I workout so by the end of the month...I plan to buy some new workout cloths. I hope this helps.

Clintonya my sis lives in Richmond VA. What type of rotation are you doing or plan to do?

morning y'all. everyone is sponge bob cranky pants in my house =( still no sign of the teeth but he is doing all kinds of weird things with his mouth. even dh was a sourpuss when he got home from work this am. hes asleep and ill be putting JJ down shortly. no gym for me today. i am completely exhausted from the multiple wake ups in the night and the super eary mornings recently! i also have a dentist appt this afternoon that i am not looking forward to -- a couple cavities and a molar cracked, that one is gonna be rough. need to shower and do dinner prep during naptime. today may just need to be rest day for me.

b - nothing STILL. just two lattes. i have really not been hungryin the am recently.
l - ham and roasted veg panini
d - wh pasta, meat sauce, green beans

robin, i never ever cook turkey and im not sure why. would be a good change of pace!

angie, welcome "home"! good luck with your starting your classes. planning your school work time just like your wo time should keep you on track!

clintonya, what kindof classes were you taking?

anne, is there any reason NOT to go the cruise?!?! GO, lady! angie mentioned a mini-suite. another option since you are booking last minute is to see if a handicapped room is avl. theyre super spacious, even the balconies should be big enough for a wheelchair to get around. they book these rooms to non-disabled ppl only at the last minute, of course.

colleen, your menu looks awesome! do you just mix canned pumpkin into regular oatmeal? sorry for the cc troubles =(

klaudia, yay for cookin up a storm! maybe BBL could be your reward for sticking to a rotation this month?
 
anne, i just looked at that cruise link and i really like some of those artists! many of them have performedat the festival i work for in summer. and edie carey is a fave singer/songwriter of mine. and who can mess with steve earle or emmylou?

Robin, I am trying to do the sts weights/shock cardio rotation. Have done a week so far.

Angie & Wendy, I just finished up some accounting/taxation classes.

Angie, thanks for the welcome. My daughters are 10 and 16.

Wendy, I hope you can get some sleep soon. I am SO bad without sleep! I hope the dentist isn’t too bad for you.
