Back from the doctor, and the verdict is in.... Collin AND Mommy both have STREP :mad::mad::mad: Antibiotics all around!! After the Dr, we stopped for a milkshake and it was heavenly!! Collin is chasing the dog around the house with his new chainsaw (toy from Santa) while I am laid up on the couch. Where do kids get all this energy??
 
Angie great circuit rotation. It look like a lot of sweating will be going on in your house.

My w/o today was in the park (walk/run) with no kids :p I hope my knee holds up.

lunch was homecooked chili
dinner baked spanich chicken and brown rice.

snack?? My DD ate all of the popcorn :mad:

Did you all see the new ab circuit clips on youtube? I need to get into shape!!!
 
Katie, I'm sorry about strep... milkshakes always help that! I hope you feel better soon!

Robin, a walk/run in the park sounds wonderful.

One episode of Lost (oh, and did I mention the glass of wine? It's all Ryan's fault) under my belt... time for another!

beef stir fry for dinner. over noodles for mike, more veggies for me. oh to be a guy and have a raging metabolism where calories dont count.....sigh.......
 
Woo hoo! Got my workout done. I did MM upper body split and I went heavier than Cathe on everything except tricep overhead extensions-matched her on those. I feel so good! Eats have been pretty good-had a fat free bean dip tortilla for lunch, some trail mix for a morning snack, and now I need to have a post w/o snack. Putting the coffee on for our afternoon cup. It's Darrin's birthday today-he said something about takeout:)

Anne, the recipe is pretty easy:

1 large jar great northern beans
1 large onion, chopped
1 large red pepper, chopped
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup water

*Saute vegetables in olive oil. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Place in 9x13 oven proof casserole. Bake uncovered at 350* for 1 hour. For extra flavor, add in smoked sausage/kielbasa slices on top before baking. Serve with a tossed green salad and your favorite loaf of crusty white bread and dip away!:) This can also be made as a "stoup" by increasing the amount of water to a jar and a half and simmered on the stove for an hour. Hope you like it!

klaudia, I *wish* I could be portion-controlled on trail mix. that stuff gets me every time.

stir fry was awful. It was a kit thing with everything in it. Bland, soggy veggies, bland meat, salty sauce. I gave mine to Mike, aka the human garbage disposer. I had a nice big bowl of Kashi instead.
 
antibiotics kill off bacteria in your body. bad bacteria and good bacteria right along with it. probiotics restore the good bacteria. we get acidophilus pills from the health food store, but you can also eat plain yogurt if you cant find the pills.
