Hey just another Manic monday....I wish it was Sunday...I'm a big 80s fan.

How is everyone menu today? How did you do yesterday with the clean eating plan? Jess I see you shop around like I do. I think I do more shopping now that I'm eating clean. Yes it is more expensive too.


Fluids- 60-80 oz (my goal)
b- Kashi & Fruit
S- 1/2 protein bar
L- grill chicken breast & green salad
S- 1/2 protein bar
D- Hamberger Helper with turkey meat & cucumber salad

W/O- Power walked for 45 min

Robin - I realized I never answered your question about grocery shopping. I used to go biweekly but now that I have started to eat clean, I do a big trip every other week and use the in between weeks to get some fresh fruits, veggies and lean meats. We go Costco quarterly to pick up some bulk items.

Here's my plan for the day:

W/O : Step Blast

B: Spoon Sized Shredded Wheat w/ almonds skim milk OJ
L: Salmon cakes w/ mixed veggies, watermelon
S: Kashi granola bar, watermelon, carrots
D: Steak Tacos w/ refried beans, side salad

Question about Kashi cereal - I don't like sweet cereals (my mom won't let me eat sugar cereals growing up so I never acquired the taste). Which Kashi cereals are less sweet?

Kashi GoLean has the least sugar, I believe. It's high in protein & 10g of fiber too! The GoLean Crunch has a bit more sugar, so I usually just add a little bit to my GoLean. Also, my kids like the Mighty Bites kids cereal, it tasted a little like honey nut cheerios but less sugary. I have eaten the Heart to Heart Honey Oat cereal also, but don't buy that one often. It is lower in sugar too.

I know there are lots of other Kashi cereals, but those are the only ones I eat regularly! HTH!

Breakfast ~ Usual oatmeal, light activia yogurt + berries

W/o is GS BSB this afternoon + going for a bike ride this evening.
 
Hi all,

The weekend eating was so-so, could have been better.
I am going to give Zig-Zagging my calories a try.

I went for a great bike ride over the weekend with my DH and Two DS. My DS 6yr old 's bike hitches onto mine. He tends to put the bike off balance. I think I got an arm workout just trying to keep the bike steady!:)

Feeling under the weather today so I did C&W abs and Step only premix.

B:multigrain cereal,skim,1/2/banana,1egg white, one hardboiled egg
S: pear,1tbls natural PB,2 egg whites
L: flat flax bread,chicken breast,salad,spinach,1/2cup mango
S:cottage cheese ,fruit,crispbread
D:chicken, sweet potato,green beans and 10 grapes
S:more cottage cheese,fruit and crispbread (subject to change)
