Clean & Tidy - Mon - Aug 6

A shout-out to my clean & tidy peeps!

I did MM LB only lasy night and the abs. Short, but awesome. I know I'll feel it tonight!

Here's the plan for today:

b - wheat chex & a banana (I think tomorrow the box will be gone!)
s - ?? Actually, I think I'm going to make more zucchini bread!
l - roast beef, LF mozz. chz, onion, R&G peppers
s - ??
d - grilled chicken salad - not sure which veggies yet.

Well, DDs woke up early so must depart. See you later!

Made the quinoa cupcakes I mentioned earlier. They were alright, I think if I added cinnamon the funky quinoa taste would have been covered better. They were really moist for only having 1 egg and 1/4 cup sour cream in them.

Well I'm back to work and back to 5 a.m. w/o.
Today I did 40 mins of power walking with itread and core max 3.

Menu:
B-kashi
S- nuts
L- tuna and salad
S-popcorn
D- beef and carrots & collards
S- fruit

Guess what I drop 1# and 1/2 inch off my lower abds.

Hi ladies my name is Latisha. I was wondering if I can join the group? The last few days I have been reading your posts. You all are an encouragement for me. I am working with clean eating, and after reading your posts I have many ideas.

I do have one question. Do you consider Hormel new lunch meat the one with no preservatives or artificial ingredients clean eating? Also Jennie o’s has a lean turkey that I have been eating? No nitrates or anything
?
 
Welcome Latisha. I'm not sure about Hormel new lunch meats but I'm sure that the Jennie O lean turkey is very clean. I also check for sodium/ nitrates content and the amount of fat grams in lunchoen meats. Hope this helps.

I will stick with Jennie O's then. I will finish up the lunch meat though. Is Jennie O's lean turkey burgers clean eating too?

Well my day hasn't started off too clean (still in beach mode I guess) but I will try to rectify that as the day goes on.

w/o - Body Max (I did everything but the abs because I ran out of time)

B - Shredded wheat w/ skim milk, OJ
L - Ice Cream cake (my favorite and I couldn't resist) and burrito bowl
S - fruits and veggies
D - haven't decided but it will have to be really clean

Robin, congrats!! Excellent job on the losses.

Today is a holiday in good old Canada, so i'm home, started packing for the Roadtrip actually. Starting to worry, dont know what to wear, dont want to bring too much, it is only really 2 days!!
Thanks so everyone for their posts about my non stop eating Saturday. Yesterday was better, i went for a massage actually and slept for a bit, much needed rest i think.
Today, on track!!

Workout: Amy Bento, KBX, added lower body and abs
B: usual, oatmeal, hemp pro, berries...you know
L: veg soup, carrots, hummus, and an apple
s: ccheese and a pear
d: likely salad, ezekial, strawberries, not sure yet. So weird not being at work!!

That's funny Kate (Manic Monday). You know I don't think that there is alot of songs about Mondays.....now Saturdays there are a few songs.

Latisha turkey burgers are great. I just put that on my shopping list. How do you cook them? I'm trying to finish Joel Olsteen 1st book because he is coming out with another book.

Colleen ice cream cake....well you know what to do to burn that off. Is is chocolate?

Hello Latisha and welcome! You'll continue to get lots of encouragement here and good ideas of new foods to try. I'm afraid I don't ever eat lunchmeat (nightmares of when I was young!) but it looks like you got some help there.

Colleen - No way on this green earth could i refuse ic cake! I make these at birthdays and there are never any leftovers (thank goodness!)

Today was pretty good. I had to change my dinner plans (forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer (dummy!)). So I had peanuts for my protein. Little problem..........I ate too many. Those things are so blasted addicting to me. Ah, shake it off. Nothing a little Rhytmic Step won't take care of tonight.

I did MM UB this afternoon w/ DD Gina (5). I love to sneak in workouts in the afternoon!

Hi everyone! I wasn't here yesterday, I had a bunch of family coming in from all over the place so I was busy busy. I also got around to seeing the new Harry Potter movie which was lots of fun. Here's what I had today -

B - Steelcut oats & blueberries
L - Whole wheat soynut sandwich, raw cauliflower w/ light dip & a nectarine
D - 5 falafel patties, cucumber & tomato salad, kefir & some fruit

Workout is 1/2 KPC + S&H shoulders. I'm going to try a S&H routine for a few weeks with the plan being 1/2 hr. cardio everyday along with one body part.

Question for everyone - do you consider eating clean & eating naturally/whole to be the same thing? I was just thinking along the lines of my breakfast this morning, and while it may have saved me some cals to use something like Splenda - I opted for pure maple syrup instead. I think my goal is to eat more naturally. Any thoughts on what's the greater evil in your mind?
 
I havent read any of Joel Osteen books but I think I may get one. I buy a lot of series, I have letting go of the past, enjoy everyday, and a whole list of other things.

I also listen to Joyce Meyer she is good.

As far as the turkey burgers go, I just put them in oven and bake them. That is the easiest thing for me to do.

I am not going to post what I ate today. Not clean eating, I did manage to make some sphagetti for dinner with lean ground beef and Bertoli sauce. I usually make my own sauce but I didnt prepare for that. Right now I have a Jennie O's lean turkey and gravy in the oven. That should be done in a minute.

Execrise I have to get back on a schedule. I know its been like two weeks since I worked out.

I am going to make some of those protein pancakes, I hope that I like them

Can I rejoing this group. I haven't posted in a long time. I had a terrible cold and then a friend died unexpectedly. Anyway, am back working out and eating clean so thought I might be able to rejoin.

Workout today was Muscle Max.

So far today

B: orange

L: Oats, hazelnuts, almonds, sultanas and yoghurt

S: Will be Kavli and cottage cheese

D: Vegies.

Kim, of course you can rejoin! Welcome back and sorry for your loss. Hope you've had some comfort.

Swk18 - I would much rather have a pure source of sugar than a modified one. To be honest I've never read up on Splenda, but from the **very very little** I know, natural is the way to go for me. I would appreciate hearing/learning more about Splenda if anyone has anything to share about it. Please don't take my above comments harshly!! I mean no harm! It seems so often that emotion get lost in writing...hard to tell sometimes. Thanks....
