Sorry I never came back yesterday. Annabel came down with a 103 fever and was on my lap all afternoon. She watched movies and I read a book.

Am I the worst mom ever? Two of you don't let your kids watch ANY TV? I'm totally with you Katie, I don't know what I would do without it sometimes! And then I realize that I rely way too much on it. Ugh.

Continuing with self mutilation day... what to do with my eats??? (Colleen, I'm with you on the intervention thing) Have any of you tried WW? I don't know what to do here since all of the nutritional info is wacky and I can't find low fat, low sodium, low carb, whole wheat anything here! The one thing I have found is quinoa so I may just eat a lot of that. Sweet potatoes are hard to come by as well. Excuses, excuses. I just need to plan in advance!

I weighed myself this morning. UP another pound. That should be enough motivation to kick my a$$ into gear.

Unfortunately, we have a lot of VDay candy around here so I will have to avoid that. And Ryan brought home a box of chocs yesterday to make me happy. I told him I love it but he has to stop!!! There are other ways to make me happy (buy me the remaining Cathe videos I don't have, buy me ankle weights, a barbell, etc!!!).

Kate, what's with the self pity? How on earth do you eat salad DRY? I love that you're human but what are SIN cookies? LOL about gymnastics and ballet!

Katie, you crack me up checking the status of this forum at a stop light - I'm exactly the same way. I hear my phone ding and I'm like oooh oooh!! Love to hear that you're showing up Chris in STS! Are you guys doing better?

Colleen, I think we sabotage ourselves by posting our bad food choices here because I come and read what everyone else is eating and I'm like, oooh that sounds so good. Maybe I should have some! There must be something in the water because it seems like we're all on a downward spiral...

Klaudia, bummer game! YIKES! So now the real test is when ILL and MSU play on March 1. IT'S ON!!!!! :) For big ten rights. :):):) I have to say I love to watch Duke fall down that AP Poll... something about them ALWAYS being good just gets under my skin. Great job on STS! Glad you felt the burn!

Morris, YAY to you for self health day! Good job and I'm so glad it was so good. I think it can do wonders to just get a day to yourself! Hope it gives you all kinds of energy to get through the next few weeks/months!

Anne, LOL on the taco. I miss Mexican food so much. I'm so afraid I'm going to gain a million pounds when I come back to the states because I'll want to eat everything in sight! :) How do you make your lamb stew? It sounds yummy!

Robin, LOL on planks from hell. I hate planks but they'd probably do me a lot of good. That little kangaroo pouch needs some work. Glad you enjoyed your KB.

OK, so ideas about Ryan... he loves to read, loves "guy" movies, video games, etc. So I'm going to try a few of those things, some food items, some "me" stuff :eek: and see how far I get.

I'm finally feeling better today so I should be able to get my WO in. It's going to be GS BSB and some abs - maybe coremax. I need a good long one.

Uggghhhh, Angie, I really feel for you. It is hard for me to plan clean meals even when I know my grocery store like the back of my hand and can plan accordingly. That has got to be a struggle, I'm sorry, and I have no advice... Yes, I checked the check-in at a stop light:rolleyes: A bit overboard, I know...

After I posted last night about Chris' whining and moaning during STS, I got called upstairs abruptly -- Chris was in the shower and couldn't reach to wash his arm or back or something. LOL!

I am going disk 3, legs, today instead of back and tris -- it's just gonna work better for me to do it this way.

Better get to it, be back soon (if I can walk...).................
 
Ok i signed up for the trial of weight watchers online. It took me about an hour to figure out how to read the nutritional information for my favorite cereal (Kellogs Extra Pepites - granola chunks with fruit). Turns out it's 5 points per 1/2 cup and I had a cup and it calculated it as 11 points! That's crazy when I am only supposed to have 20 in a day... yikes. I think stuff like this will be good for me to just figure out what I'm doing. I'm hoping it will provide me with some good recipes too. I know it's not always clean but I know I can find WW products at our store here so it will help me at least from that perspective. I'll see what I think this week.

Desperate times call for desperate measures!

anyway, ....maybe ww will be a big help. i was reading to not have cereals w/ more than 5g of sugar, preferably 3. that is freaking hard!!! totally blew out my kashi go lean vrunch.:mad: we're all getting there tho, one rotten calorie t a time!:p
sin cookies have cocoa, melted chocolate, choc chips, and dk choc mms on top.

im a bad mom. isabel has preschool today and i have no one to help w/ the driving. i was wishing there was some way i wouldnt have to take her. well, she woke up sick - headache, sore throat, runny nose. i didnt mean THAT!!!:eek: .....just m ore like a fog delay or something! so a chiro'ing we go!

klaudia, yes i tried the honey sunshine an i do like it. low sugar, high fiber. but pretty much nonexistant protein!!! i loved the k crunch. but the sugar is i think 13 g. !!!! whats a girl to do!?
 
Legs was SUPER FUN! Wonder if I will be able to walk tomorrow... The plan is, tonight after dinner, I will do a one mile fast walk on the TM, then the extended stretch and/or some good LB stretching, then partner abs with Chris after Collin is in bed.

Kate, the main reason that I did legs today instead of Friday is that I like to do a long run on Saturday and I knew that would not be possible if I did the legs the day before! Sorry that Isabel is sick, but it is NOT your fault!

Angie, good luck with the WW online thing. Knowledge is power. You can and will do this!

kate, you did not make your daughter sick! how on earth are you getting to the chiro, though? you are amazing. i love a kashi too, but i hate that there is so much sugar. i may have to look for the h'sunshine. what are the stats in it? i love mixing cereal with cot cheese for protein.

katie, great w/o. i used to do a lot of weighted leg work but i would not do all my running so now i just do some lunges and stuff to strengthen my running. sometimes i really miss it, but, gotta run:p

yesterday was so good for me. i am really going to enjoy today with the boys, though. the sun is out, and we are getting a bigggg storm tomorrow:(. i got some clothes too while i was shopping. i hate all the avnity sizing out there. it makes it sooo hard to find anything that fits. my clean eating is really paying off, though, and i have not been this small since i do not remember. good motivation for today.. wo was 5 mile speed interval then bm2 blasts and sb challenge. i really really want sts:( oh well, not a possibility right now!
 
Well, WO is not going to happen. Ellie's fake coughing herself into hysteria while she's supposed to be napping and Annabel just wants me to snuggle with her so I might sneak it in tonight but based on the way I'm feeling I'm guessing I will just be going to bed. Not 100% quite yet!

WW online - I'm registered for the US version. I'm not sure if there is a French version. It's interesting. I don't know if I'll keep it or not.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's needed an intervention these past few weeks! Last night, I had a bowl of Lucky Charms-the girls' weekend cereal:eek: I don't think I had enough calories at dinner and I was craving something sweet, too. Feeling some DOMS, though not as much as I thought I would. Today is an easy day. I might take Nevena to the library-they were closed on Monday and hit the grocery store for some produce. Workout will be cardio and abs-probably hiit.

Angie, bring it on!! If it's an early game-we can cyber smack talk each other;) I'm the same way about bringing treats home-my parents are notorious for this. Bring the girls some stickers or a book, not donuts and candy!! Arrgh! And my kids watch tv-I'd be lost without it-PBS, Noggin and the Leapster dvds are on all the time. Guilty.

Katie, Darrin was the same way after he tried Cathe-he called her all sorts of mean names-ha! I laughed when I saw you checking in from the car-that's why I don't have web apps-I'd be on all the time! I think I'm going to like the legs in this Meso-no barbell to change:)

Kate, I try and eat the lower protein stuff on cardio days when I don't need it as much. Have to laugh about not wanting to drive Isabel to school. I got so spoiled with Milla-the bus came right to our driveway and preschool was FREE (because of her Apraxia). Next year, I'll be driving and paying!

Morris, you must be a peanut with all the amazing workouts you do! Have fun with the boys today:)

Morning, all! Klaudia, I'm glad you liked the compliment yesterday, but do you mind sharing the upper body goddess title with Morris? When I saw what she did yesterday my jaw just about dropped. You guys rock! And, Klaudia, what's Apraxia? I'm not familiar with that.

Morris, I'm so glad you had a good day yesterday! What clothes did you get? And rock on on the weight/size! That's fantastic.

Kate, sorry your little one is sick. You did not cause it, you know that, right? She'll feel better soon.

Angie, sorry your little one is sick too! Don't worry about the work out today, they'll be there when the kids are back up to par. Good idea on weight watchers. One thing that occurred to me is that the French don't have the weight/health problems that Americans do, do they? What about trying to learn to eat the way the French do? I have no idea how you would go about that, but thought I would suggest it. Just one more thing to consider.

Oh, and I DID get up this morning. I did 4DS HIS. I did the weights first premix, which I hadn't tried before. I really liked it! I don't like working chest or back, so it was better for me to get that part out of the way. And I did pretty well! I matched Cathe on weight, even 25# for flyes and 30# for presses! I'd never done that much for those exercises before, but I was inspired by all the STS folks saying they learned they could lift heavier than they thought through 1RM testing. And, I did most of the push ups on my toes. I went to my knees for the last 2 sets of 8 at the end of round 1, but still.

I'll close this novel by telling you I had yogurt, string cheese, and a banana for breakfast. But I also have 2 meyer lemon shortbread cookies for a treat. I bought them the other day and they were calling my name this morning....

Hi Everyone!

It is snowing here this morning and then we are supposed to get rain later. I did STS Back and Bi's this morning and my upper body is just fried. I am glad that legs are Saturday because I don't want to lift anymore with my upper body.

I am really tired today - I don't know if it is the weather or everything going around work. There is some nasty cold that is getting passed around. I just hope I can avoid it.

Morris, ^5 on the new weight/size. I don't like the new sizing either and I have a hard time finding something that fits.
Kate, I'll drive Isabel to school if you take over for me at work today.
Katie, that's funny about Chris last night. Let me know how you like partner abs tonight.
Angie, sorry about the scale frustration. I usually gain weight when I am sick because I load up on carbs, then lose it when I get better. I tried weight watchers but I was always hungry because they did not give me enough points to cover my workouts. I always ate over points and still lost weight.
Anne, I am just the opposite of you. I like doing cardio first then weights.

I'm exhausted today. Ryan and I were up late last night. :eek: Fell asleep around midnight and then Annabel woke up crying around 4 and went back to sleep around 5:30 and then Ryan's alarm went off at 6:40. I just took a little "nap" on the couch - I was always so amazed that my mom could sleep in the midst of all the kids around but I'm learning that you do what's necessary.

We have to go to the post office and to the grocery store.

I don't think ww is going to be for me. I just have to figure out how to eat enough for my WOs. I think that's the main issue. I miss things like clif bars for sure. I might have my MIL send some. They are just so helpful/filling.

I had to pick up my teen niece from school. Some boy throw water on her back and then she pulled out her cell phone to ???

Well the teacher took her cell phone and she had a fit. Not about the water but about her cell phone.

I haven't even w/o today!:mad: Now I have to go pay some bills and I'm getting my nails done first.

I'll catch up later on.

Colleen, I think I'll cardio first for the boot camp DVD, cuz I like working bis and tris. I'm with Kate on push ups, though, so I wanted to get them out of the way. Did you get a lot of snow?

I forgot to tell you guys I did abs this morning, too. From Keli Roberts Ultimate Fitness. It's a really old step video, but I still use the ab portion because it's fantastic! She does a lot of cool stuff with ab work.

the wd is that im switching to a payroll service. besides wyoming we just took on 2 jobs in new mexico & louisiana. its too much tax headache. ive been going between companies trying to get the best rate and i have been on the phone non-stop. :eek: good news is that i beat em up good and got their prices very low. bad news is the guy i didnt go with got extremely nasty and im freaked out bec he has my address. at least i have mufasa! mike is ticked and wants me to give him idiots # so he can call him and give him a piece of his mind about how he treated me. ah, my chivalrous dh! i love him!

I don't know what I'm having for lunch today. I'm going out with my friend Cheryl (from work) and she gets to pick. She went through a rough divorce recently (after 25 or 30 years), so I'm trying to be supportive by spending time with her. BBL
