Klaudia, how about a few minutes of your favorite core work? Glad you had a nice weekend and got to wear your bikini! ^ on the weight, too!
Robin, great job with avoiding the family drama this weekend!
Morris, did you make it to the pool? (((house selling vibes))) coming your way. Great pics on FB!
Patti, where would you like to go on vacation? Start planning now - that's half the fun!
Colleen, I am super impressed with your 2% loss!
Anne, I live about 4 miles/10 mins from my office and I love being able to run home for lunch. I have enough time to run home, fix and sandwich, and eat while I watch some tv. Maybe even throw a load of laundry in.
Kate, I felt like that about Meso 2 the first time I did it but not the last time - right before the beach. I think I am going back to old faithful for awhile - Gym Styles.

My day has been pretty good - did some cleaning and laundry, took Collin to the inflatable bouncy place where he promptly had a total meltdown - complete with crying and screaming and rolling around on the floor. We still had to go pick up the dog from the kennel so I had to listen to the crying on the 20 minute drive but he finally settled down. He is just soooooo tired from the late nights at the beach. This is precisely why I took this "recoup" day off.

I had really really really high hopes for good eats today, but I succumbed to some junk (brownie bites) that followed us home from the beach. I ate 4 and they weren't even good. Squeaky for the rest of the day I swear on my fat rolls!

PUB shortly, then I am cooking stuffed peppers for dinner - YUM!

katie, could you post your recipe pretty please?? i can imagine the fit - another reason i am not looking forward to mocving. all those changes mess with sleep, which leads to grumpies. though, i swear, sometimes i think wed all be better off if we rolled on the floor kicking and screaming.

anne, i loved coming home for lunch from my old job, though often i'd eat in the car, then come home and do some short core work or walk to perk me up for the afternoon.

colleen, stop, you are making me want sts again so bad. i just build muscle so easily and am not sure i want any more veins or definition. kwim? but what great results.

kate, enjoy your cookie! i bet the girls loved helping you.

pattie, how was the picnic?

robin, what rotation are you doing now?

i am so proud to say i went swimming, did my whole hour of laps (nealy killed me) and i finished mow max. i swear we had a field of hay out there! aidan is up now, and i am only sorry i did not relax for 1 minute of it, but hey, what can you do? eats are clean but a bit hi in cals - seems to always happen a day after a long run. i am so relieved dh will be home soon, though, and tomorrow am, i am off with my dog:D must go get finn early from school - he can play in the yard with out disappearing under the grass!

anne, hugshugshugs....
we did a quick stop @ B&N

klaudia, nice walk!if youve got time for more later go for it...if not i wouldnt sweat it!
thanks for the encouragement!:)

Katie Sorry for the meltdown. Yuck. I hate that. Thankfully we're past that stage but Isabel i smy whiner and Gina....let's just say 7 has its own challenges! MOUTHY!!!! Whew!
I think GS would be fun after vaca too....

Nina, An hour of laps??? My hero! You should see my swim! ctually, you shouldn't! My sisters LOL everytime they see me drown....er, I mean SWIM!:p
Your run tmrw is going to be awesome!:D

-
Been playing outside w/ dds. Getting J to sleep & have some more cleaning /dinner prep to do. Can't wait for B&G tongiht!:D

Picnic was wonderful and kids had a ball. We hiked one of the little nature trails with our wagon. Max rode and ate crackers but Mags walked most of it. I was proud of her. She is almost old enough to start going on jogs with me- can't wait. Eats were clean for me even though we stopped at a bakery for dessert. I didn't even want it since I knew it would make me wants MORE MORE MORE and I would feel ick.

Kate: DH will be funny tonight! I know Jeff acted like he was dying when he did the floor work at the end of the leg wos in Meso 1. It was hilarious. He told me he had new respect for the band. He took a vacation day today, btw. No freebies in the family biz! :D

Morris: Wow, that's a long swim. I would sweat the extra cals, especially since you've tied it into your long runs. Sounds like you are listening to what your body needs and that's a good thing. I think I build muscle fairly easily too, which is why I have to keep my BF fairly low. Otherwise I just look bulky with a bubble butt. Cute pictures, btw. He's beautiful. :)

Anne: Be negative if you need to- we are here for the good and the bad stuff. As for the weight loss, well, that is better than what I do under stress. All I do is blow up. Ick.

Katie: Oh the meltdowns, gotta love 'em. We have them too at times. Maggie has fewer tantrums than she used to but it seems the intensity has gone up. I can't win!

Colleen: Congratulations! That's terrific.

Making asian chicken salad for dinner- romaine lettuce, wasabi almonds, roasted chicken, mandarin oranges, pineapple, carrots and a nice asian dressing- so good and summery! BBL.

Morris, I will definitely get a recipe to you...

I am uploading a ton of vacation pics to FB - check 'em out!

Here is the recipe I use, from All Recipes...

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup uncooked long grain white rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

table.bevpairing {margin:0 4px 0 0; padding:0; width:97%;} table.bevpairing a:link {font-size:11px;} table.bevpairing a:active {font-size:11px;} table.bevpairing a:visited {font-size:11px;} table.bevpairing tr {padding:8px 3px 8px 5px; min-height:28px;} table.bevpairing tr.blue {background:#EFEFEF;} /* table rows are blue by applying this class */ table.bevpairing td {border-bottom:1px #CCCCCC dashed; margin:0; padding:5px 3px 6px 12px; line-height:13px; vertical-align:middle;} table.bevpairing td.bev_icon {padding:5px 3px 6px 5px;} table.bevpairing td.bev_text {padding:5px;} table.bevpairing td.last {border-bottom:none;} /* to remove the dotted line apply this class to table data */ table.bevpairing td.sponsor {padding-right: 3px; padding-left: 12px; padding-bottom: 6px; margin: 0px; vertical-align: middle; line-height: 13px; padding-top: 5px; border-bottom:none;} table.bevpairing div.spon_image {margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:-5px; margin-right:0px; PADDING-RIGHT:7px; width:150px;} table.bevpairing img.beverage {width:24px; height:28px;} table.bevpairing h4{color:#847840; font:normal 12px/13px Arial,"Century Gothic",Futura,"Avant Garde",Verdana,San-Serif; text-align:center; text-transform:uppercase; display:inline;} What to Drink?

icon_wine_24x28.gif
Zinfandel

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place the rice and water in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and cook 20 minutes. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef until evenly browned.
  3. Remove and discard the tops, seeds, and membranes of the bell peppers. Arrange peppers in a baking dish with the hollowed sides facing upward. (Slice the bottoms of the peppers if necessary so that they will stand upright.)
  4. In a bowl, mix the browned beef, cooked rice, 1 can tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spoon an equal amount of the mixture into each hollowed pepper. Mix the remaining tomato sauce and Italian seasoning in a bowl, and pour over the stuffed peppers.
  5. Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, basting with sauce every 15 minutes, until the peppers are tender.
*My changes*
- I use brown rice instead of white
- I use one can diced tomatoes and one can tomato sauce, no added sodium
- top with some lf cheese about half way thru baking

Enjoy your company, Kate!

Katie, how are the stuffed green peppers?

Patti, that salad sounds fabulous. Where do you get wasabi almonds?

Nina, get on with your bad self! An hour of laps? You're crazy, woman, but I mean that in a good way.

Klaudia, I know I wouldn't do any more today, but I'm lazy. See how you feel.

Okay, I'm giving up at work. Not super productive today, but I did get some stuff done. I'm running 4 miles tonight, maybe more if I'm feeling good. We'll see. I probably won't be back until tomorrow. Have a good night, everyone!

Oh, I forgot to say hi to Lisa! Sorry! I hope you've gotten some sleep and the baby's feeling better.

anne

Anne Have a great night...good plan for moving close to your job.

Katie thanks it looks easy to make but do you drink the Zinfandel before or after.

Patti I love nature trails. I'm glad you had fun today. Asian chicken salad I love and it's even better if you sub shrimp for the chicken :)

Nina I'm glad you finished your swim.

Katie Collin was just expressing how he feels about coming home from a great vacation. I feel like doing the same thing when I'm in Walmart.

Where is Lisa??

BTW I loooove CLX Push it's just like slow and heavy:D. Plus I added Amy's Dynamic workout 1...crazy hard...I couldn't even finish it.

I am really hungry today and I don't know why. I can't wait for dinner but Chris has been on the phone for at least 30 minutes. I hope he gets off soon so we can make dinner - Steak, sweet potato, veggies.

Nina, ^5 on the swim. I have to see when the pool opens in the morning. Maybe I will start swimming until my knee heals.
Patti, dinner sounds so good. Chris likes a warm meal for dinner so we rarely have salads for dinner.
Katie, sorry about the tantrum. Good plan for the recovery day - I think we all need it when we come back from vacation.

Quiet night here:) Got GS Chest and some abs done. Snack was pineapple and Greek yogurt, dinner was grilled salmon and asparagus and steamed brown rice. Gonna go read outside for a bit while the girls play.

Patti, I am so making that salad-looks so good! Do they have slivered wasabi almonds or do you buy the whole ones and crush them up? Way to go on resisting the treats!

Robin, you're in rare form tonight-everything you say is making me laugh!

Colleen, everytime we have salad for dinner, Darrin has a second meal about 2 hours later-he says it doesn't fill him up-even though there's a ton of protein on it! Your rotation looks awsome! I think my next fitness purchase is gonna be kb and some dvds. You and Robin are making me jealous;)

Klaudia: Salad was delicious- it's a great easy summer dinner. Blue Diamond makes the wasabi/soy almonds and they are whole. I just chop them up- I also add a handful of the lime chili ones too- makes a good mix. If I'm lazy I'll even buy pre roasted chicken and just take it off the bone. I have 2 KBs and a few DVDs and have yet to DO KBs- I'm thinking post RT. I am excited to try it out.

Robin: Glad you liked Push- I've heard that is a favorite for many of the three phases.

Shower time for the kids and then rest. I will admit that even though the meal had a ton of protein and some healthy fat, I'm hungry. Darn. Oh well, I've been pretty active today so it's probably legit. Can't wait for my strawberries / greek yogurt tonight.

quick hello....
pc here!
sounds like everyone here is doing well!

lisa, hows our little pomai? you getting any sleep?

So my nice night just turned crappy. My neighbor-the one I don't talk to because of the fit the wife had when the kids went on her swing set a few years ago just walked over with a handful of rocks, flowers, and grasses-from my house that my kids and the boy I watch apparently threw over the fence and says, "Where do you want this?" I had no idea at first what it was. Then it dawned on me. I am mortified! Why did they have to throw stuff over HIS fence?! I said, "Just set it there, I'll have Darrin deal with it." Brought the girls in and went off! I know I overreacted, that they're just kids, but I still feel like a failure as a mom. Their behavior is a reflection of me and my crummy parenting. All this after having a family talk on the way home about the boys' atrocious behavior this weekend. I feel like such a sham! Waaa! Now I want to drown my sorrows in ice cream!

Hi ladies! I'm playing major catch up this week. I went into work today and doing major laundrymax now before I take the kids swimming. I got to do Original BC late last night. It felt good to finally work out. Eats need a little working on, but clean for the most part.

Angie - I think counseling is something all married couples should do every now and then. It helped us out a lot.
Katie - Ending of vacation always stinks. Enjoy your last few hrs!
Morris - Cute pics! WTG on an hour of swimming! I think I'd be just floating!
Kate - That is so cute that you and Mike are going to wo to Cathe together! Kick his butt now, ok, lol?
Robin - Yay for a drama free family weekend!
Colleen - Wow, did you make that rotation up?
Hi Klaudia, Anne!

Okay gotta go. Be back.

Lisa
