Clean Eating Challenge Nov 15,2005

I really think I'm going to need this thread today. I feel a serious eating binge coming on. I think it started with my dreams of donuts. Here's todays plan to help resist cravings.
B - steel cut oats w/raisins, br sugar, cinnamon and soy milk, banana
L - PB&J on whole grain bread, carrots, apple
D - not sure yet, salad or rice and beans
S - apple, small piece of chocolate
lots of water
Some kind of cardio step workout today.
Have a clean day ladies and gentlemen (?)

How come you feel an eating binge comming on? Are you pmsing? I should tell you what we had last night to eat but I think I may have to start my own post with that one!
Where do you gals get steel cut oats? Im gonna have to pick some up!

B-Cereal w skim milk
L-Lean cuisine and a banana
S-protein shake
D-meat and a salad
S-fruit and maybe another shake

I am also doing Imax 3 (I think) or I may do something from the HC Extreme dvd and PLB.

Robin!!! Resist those binge urges. It will only make you feel worse! Back away from the donuts! Put down the pie! We're here if you need us!

Here is today for me:

B - egg whites on toasted WW English muffin with lf cheese and avocado, banana
S - apple and almonds
L - leftover WW pasta with veggies
S - protein shake
D - bean burrito with salad and 1/2 baked sweet potato

I'm doing GS BSB today and a segment of Coremax.
 
Lori--I have found steel cut oats in my grocer's health food section.

Here's my commitment for the day:

B: Oatmeal w/ 1/2 apple. Coffee :)(or egg/egg white omelet)
S: Small bowl of GoLean
L: Veggie/potato/hamburger crockpot hotdish
S: yogurt, 1/2 apple
D: Taco salad (homemade so I know it's healthy...no chips)
S: ??

Probably some tea thrown in there somewhere and lots of water, of course. Todays workout...SH Triceps/Biceps/Shoulders/Abs and IMAX 3 (1-5).

Lori, I'm not sure where the feeling of impending bingdom is coming from. I'm too old to PMS. I'm almost done with menopause. But thanks to you, Shelley and others who are lending me support.

I got my steel cut oats at the health food section of a large local grocery store, but I noticed not all the grocery stores carry them. Try any health food stores. I think you can order them on line too.
 
Good Morning everyone -

Robin - resist the urges... :) Easier said than done sometimes for sure.

Today plan is:

B - Egg Beaters, WW English muffin, Simply Fruit Jam
S - Oatmeal, Protein Shake
L - Salad of some sort
S - PB & J on WW
D - chicken and veggies of some kind

I am supposed to do HC Legs, but might do a timesaver premix of that and add a Turbo Jam cardio.

Robin-please check in with us if you feel the need to binge. I'm sure we can convince you otherwise. And take a look at all the healthy foods we are eating each for suggestions.

I'm not feeling well so I have no idea what I will be eating today. For breakfast this morning I had 3/4 C kash go lean, strawberries, 1 scoop protein powder, and 3/4 C skim milk.

I don't really feel much like eating, so not like me.

So far I have gotten past two meals sticking to my plan. The hardest part is when I get home, but I plan to work out, then I'm going to a church thing with a friend, so hopefully the binge-bug will be exterminated by then. Thanks so much for all the caring support. It does help, and I encourage you all to call on that help when you may need it.
 
Here's what on the menu for me today.....


B - oatmeal, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup Egg Beaters, one pc WW toast and coffee

Sn - baked apple protein shake

Ln - ham sandwich with mustard, banana with 1 T nat. PB

Sn - 1/2 c. FF cottage cheese, pomegranate seeds (I'm so glad these are in season now, I LOVE pomegranates!)

Dn - Chicken dish with black olives and tomatoes, large salad with light dressing.
 
Hi Ladies! Hope you all are having a great day! Today:

B-1 egg and egg white w/salsa, 1/2 grapefruit
S-snowpeas w/hummus, almonds, grapes
L-flank steak, asparagus, pear
S-brown rice cake w/pb, hard boiled egg
D-chicken breast, roasted vegetables
S-yogurt

I went to Whole Foods and got the steel cut oats you all have been raving about. Can't wait to try them in the morning! They also had this cranberry sauce with no added fat or sugar - it's just dried cranberries, dried cherries, currants, golden raisins & pure vanilla extract. SO GOOD!
