Clean Eating Challenge Check-In - Nov. 9/05

Morning all you clean-eating ladies!

Yesterday was pretty good for me. Except my boss brought me a raisin scone from the bakery and I couldn't resist it.x(

Today I am going out for lunch with a friend. We're going to Quiznos, which isn't TOO horrible. Usually I just have a small veggie sandwich on WW and a V8.

The day looks like this:

B - cereal with banana and soy milk
S - apple and handful of almonds
L - Quiznos
S - cottage cheese and pineapple
D - brown rice with spinach, tomatoes and kidney beans, 1/2 baked sweet potato with sprinkle of cinnamon

I'm doing another A-Jock Mish-Mosh tonight. Blast Max Mish-Mosh, which is Lowmax w/u, Lowmax blast only and Imax 3 blast only:) Wish me luck!
 
Stuck to yesterdays plan well, and I was very pleased to see the scale drop a couple pounds since last week. Got up early and did Step Blast, since I'm preparing dinner for my MIL this evening and can't work out then. I love how energenic I feel after working out 1st thing, but just can't make myself get up that early every day.
Today's eating plan looks like this:
B- cereal w/ soy milk, banana
L- large salad with smoked salmon and smoked gouda (If you smoke it, I will eat it)
D- broiled fish, broccali, rice or bulgar
S- apple or banana
small piece of chocolate
64-80 0z water
Again, I'm making a dessert since MIL will be with us, but will eat fruit instead.

My diet has been HORRIBLE lately, so I'm going to try and get back on track (I know, I say that all the time;( )

B - Oatmeal
S - Protein Bar
L - Turkey sandwhich on WW, apple
S - Unsalted Peanuts
D - Baked chicken breast, sweet potato, broccoli
S - Protein Shake

We'll see how it goes. I ALWAYS gain weight this time of year.

With yesterday's food binge (ate straight out of the cereal box for far too long and followed that up with a couple rice krispy bars), I decided I should join in on the challenge. Here's today's breakdown:

B-coffee, oatmeal with blueberries
S-1/2 cup Kashi Go-Lean with skim milk
L-Homemade chili
S-Apple, kashi crackers
D-Lettuce salad with tuna, glass of wine
S-??

I got off of work at 8 and was starving so I had a bowl of kids cereal...actually not even a full bowl but its the new kids cereal that as lots of vitamins,whole grains and protein:eek:

SO heres my plan;

B-Cereal w skim milk
-coffee
-workout
L-lean cuisine (about 250 cals) and an apple
S-protein shake
D-meat and a big salad

Good Morning -

Yesterday was really good for me. Although I was under my normal calories, but I figured that was ok since today is my normal day to cycle up to 1800-2000 (which is hard for me to do as well).

Today looks like:

B - egg beaters, WW English Muffin, Simply Fruit Jam, Sobe Lean Drink
B2 - oatmeal, lowfat milk, protein shake
L - chicken breast fajita veggie mix and brown rice
S - PB & J on WW
D - ?? prob chicken breast & veggies / salad

Since it is a higher cal day - will prob throw in a yam or baked potato tonight as well. I tell ya - BFFM has been great for me - I measured this morning and have lost 7.5 inches, 5 lbs fat, and 3.5 lbs weight since Oct 25th. :) And I dont feel hungry really at all!

Thanks for reminding me. I will probably have a glass of wine with the fish.
And since I'm off tomarrow and don't have to get up, maybe a second glass after dinner
 
Uh oh, change in plans. DH called and said we're eating out at a new Mexican place tonight. Hopefully by posting here, I'll be able to restrain myself from being a total pig.
 
Hi Everyone,

I've been so busy the last few days I haven't had a chance to checkin. I had one eating disaster day this past weekend but am recovering nicely.

On the schedule for today is:

1. protein shake
2. eggwhites and oatmeal
3. 2 boca burgers
4. apple & natural pb
5. ?
6. protein shake I seem to write this down everyday but rarely have the evening protein shake.

Drink one gallon of water.

Anne, I was just wondering if the diet your on is like the zigzag
diet where you go up in calories one day then the next day you drop
back and you basically alturnate like that?

Yes - part of the BFFM program is calorie cycling. I try to stay around 1500-1700 cal a day for 2-3 days, then up to 1800-2000 for a day. It has been hard for me to actually get up to the higher limits since I am so used to what I am eating currently.

I did also reference this tool for its suggestions and it did come up with what BFFM recommended.

Anne - this link is so timely! I've been wondering what my calorie calculations would be if I apply the BFFM principles - but I've been too lazy to figure it out! This is a huge help, and I plan to start calorie cycling too. I think it's a great strategy - and helps on those days when it's all too easy to eat! But I know what you mean about trying to increase - especially when you only add "clean" calories.

I'm very proud to say that in spite of some raging PMS, and hanging out at my parents where there are lots of goodies, I've been relatively good. Today is:

B - oat bran w/ skim milk
S - tangerine
L - ww pita w/ hummus and sprouts
S - 1 oz almonds
S - apple w/ peanut butter (PMS attack!)
D - protein shake or mushroom omlette

Worked upper body using Muscle Max for the 1st time in a long time last night. Been focusing more on cardio. I got IOMS!! INSTANT! I swear an hour later I was already sore and today - ow!

This is such a great thread - thanks for all the clean eating ideas!

By any chance was the cereal Tiger Power? It's my favorite cereal, right after Kashi Go Lean!
 
I'm so excited. I just came back from the rec center where I weighed myself, and I am down 2 lbs. YEAHHHHHH

A little motivation can go a long way.

Hope I updated my weight tracker correctly. Guess we'll see.
