**** Clean and Tidy Tuesday****

How is everyone? Thanks you all for wishing me a happy b-day.Yesterday I did pretty good with eating clean, until the cake and ice cream came out. I only had one BIG serving. Oh well.

B- Kashi and fruit
S- fruit
L- chicken and salad
S- popcorn
D-BBQ chicken, brown rice, veggie
S- sugar free ice pop

W/O- No w/o today, I better rest my poor knee.

Steph- boston terrier and a pug…I love toy breeds. I have a mini party-colored poodle. He is grey, brown and white. I guess no one wanted a crazy looking poodle like that so we took him home and never regretted it. He has the nicest personality.

Trixie- how’s your cold?

Kate- I love sardines, tuna, most sea food in a can.

Lori- Jari Love Ripped 1000, is she as hard as Cathe?

SWK- welcome, scrambled egg with pineapple chunks? Sounds very interesting, I may try that with egg whites. What’s your name?
 
I'm baaack!! Spent a few days at my Mom's & it's good to be home!! I didn't eat super clean and tried for tidy most times but did indulge a little too!! ;-) We ate at a couple of my favorite restaurants. One of them is this little cafe that has my favorite Asian noodle salad w/ chicken (although it's made w/ soba/ buckwheat noodles) & a peanut sauce. DELICIOUS!! And I did have some spinach bisque soup too, you can't pass that up!! Although I'm proud to say that I didn't eat any desserts other than a SF fudge bar from DQ. ;-) My MIL even made cheesecake w/ cherries that I passed up! And.... I was very proud of myself at breakfast y'day. We went to eat w/ my Dad at Perkins and I subbed my order to make it *clean*. I got the everything omelet made w/ eggbeaters (ham & veggies), and then instead of pancakes I subbed in a cup of oatmeal & instead of the hashbrowns I subbed a fruit cup!! It was the perfect breakfast! Although I did drink too much coffee too!

Ok, long winded sorry!!

So far today... I ran 5 miles. I had a few RF Triscuits when I woke up because I didn't eat a lot of carb last night & needed something to get me going at 4:30AM!

Breakfast ~ Usual oatmeal + blueberries and my cup o' coffee

Not sure on the rest of the day. Need to hit the grocery store for more fruit/ veggies! And I'm going to see No Reservations tonight w/ my girl friends, I will NOT be eating movie popcorn! ;-)

Welcome back Jess, i'm glad you had a good time, that asian noodle salad sounds amazing!!

Robin, i love Jari's workouts, i have them all, and do one per week usually. They are very different from Cathe.

I just realized the roadtrip is just over a week away, and now i'm nervous!! I've never been on a plane alone before, luckily, Toronto to Philly is only a couple of hours away. I hope someone takes me to Target!!! We dont have Target in Canada, and i hear so much about it!

Today, usual, oatmeal, hemp pro, berries and almond milk.
Workout tonight, MIS/ plus add on's from GS, and Barr method i think.

Oh, no workout this am I did ME and lunges yesterday. I can't walk. Maybe I can do IMAX 1 when I get home.
 
My plan is...

Breakfast: Kashi cereal, tea with cream & a bit of sugar

lunch: mixed green salad with shredded carrots and green onions, small piece of broiled haddock, and unsweetened applesauce

Dinner: My SO is handling that so we shall see!

I have not been around for the past week (rough week) but managed my eating quite well. I've found that portion control allows me to stay more in control during the day.


Robin: Happy belated B-day and rest that knee!

Jess: First you should see the original movie, "Mostly Martha" which is a German film. The No Reservations is a sappy American adaptation although I have heard people say they like it. Either way, enjoy!

Stephanie: I look forward to meeting you on the RT. Bring an MP3 player and listen to some fun relaxing tunes on the plane and think about what fun the RT shall be ;-)

Mikkia: I wish our drug reps/chemical companies brought in some decent food once in a while. If we're lucky we might get some greasy pizza from a vendor. Blech!

My eating yesterday was not the best. I had Ben & Jerry's ice cream last night. I only had a 1/4 of the container!:9

I did LIC Yesterday and this morning I did K.Spreen Absolute Kickboxing.

AM snack ~ Kashi GL w/ light choc. soymilk; lite apple pie yogurt

Lunch ~ Zucchini, onion, & tomato frittata (made w/ 3 eggwhites) topped w/ FF feta; Light multi grain English muffin w/ NM PB (my Mom & MIL both sent me home some fresh zucchinis & cucumbers, yum!)

Dinner ~ I have the hearty bean chicken chili (from The Eat Clean Diet book) in the crock pot. I'll let ya know how it turns out!! It smells wonderful!

WE GOT OUR GREAT DANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited. We picked him up last night. His name is Mufasa and he is gorgeous. His paws are gigantic. DDs love him like crazy.
To answer your question, Steph, we do NOT let the dog on the bed. We used to but she is bigger than me now so that doesn't work out too well! I cannot believe we have 2 danes! I must be crazy, but Annie is really going to enjoy having a playmate.

Jess, I know what you mean about your own kitchen! And don't you just love free produce?! I would keep a veggie garden but we get so much free stuff from everyone else, why bother!?

Eating is great today. I'm on a roll! I even took the kids to get ice cream and didn't get any. I brought a pear along because I knew I would be hungry. I was so proud of myself.

l - romaine, cherries, cashews, apple, NO DRESSING
s - ??this one always stumps me. I don't want to eat too much and get too full to enjoy dinner w/ the fam
d- will be tacos. Fam will use tortillas. I make a lg. salad out of mine w/ TONS of salsa. IMO, it's very clean the way I make it. I have a new salsa to try tonight called Screamin' Hot. I can't wait! I have not yet found one too hot for me. "If it doesn't make you sweat then it's no good!"

SWK18 - Welcome! Fresh pineapple is my favorite fruit, hands down!

Kate a great dane puppy named Mufasa? LOVE IT. Where are the pictures...gotta see pictures. What color(s). I've seen a smokey grey and white dane once.They always have that look on their face, like they don't have a care in the world.

Sorry for the late posting but this day has been crazy! Anyway, I still have my cold but I am starting to feel better. I am planning to go back to workouts Thursday or Friday.

Kate - congratulations on your new addition! Puppies are always so much fun.

Well, I didn't have any flounder for lunch. I ened up with tuna. Don't you hate it when you go to the freezer and expect something to be there and find out it is gone!URGH!

I've never seen a Great Dane pup. They must be so cute. I just picture this puppy with huge paws.:)

That was silly of me, my name is Sjeila :)

Here's what I had:

B - Barley made with 1/3 each OJ, soymilk & water with a handful of golden raisins thrown in. 1 T. Braggs vinegar (yuck!) washed down with some water.
L - Protein shake w/ water, carrots sticks, apple.
S - Whole food bar & orange slices
D - Homemade bean & veggie burrito, corn
S - ?

KP&C was such an amazing workout! I'm only doing Cathe's now, and I don't have any of her other kickbox workouts so I forgot how empowering it can feel! Today I will be doing Legs&glutes.

I either use tofu or frozen crumbles (in the organic freezer section) for scrambled eggs. I'm actually not a big fan of tofu, though, so that's pretty rare!

I love Danes so much, Kate! Although, I had a friend who pet-sat a full grown Dane, and to see that thing chasing a ball & then running at you fulltilt to bring it back was a scary experience. :eek:
 
Thanks for all the welcomes to Mufasa! He is so sweet. HE moans and groans all the time just walking around the house like he's talking to us. He looks identical to Annie, which is so cool. All black except for a white stripe on the chest and some white paws. I'll try to post a picture soon. Yes, his paws are enormous. It is so much fun to watch them grow. Yes, having a Dane run at you can be a lttle intimidating...Annie (she's 4) will run at you with the speed of a jungle cat and at the VERY last second veer off to the side. We've gotten used to it but it really scares company!

Eating was great today. I stuck to my plan exactly. And the salsa....oh my. It was so hot you literally could not eat it. I'm not a "dipper", I'm a scooper. And this could not be scooped. I have never had anything like that before.
