You ladies did wonderfully yesterday - I'm impressed!

Here's my menu from Thurs
B - oatmeal
S - cherries
L - salad w/grilled chicken and raspberry vin dressing;pear
S - almonds
S #2(after work) - apple
D - special K cereal w/ lite chocolate soy milk
OMG, the chocolate soy milk is great! It is perfect for chocolate cravings! Not such a great dinner, but I was in a mood
S - yikes, pretzels

Wendi, do you think you are driving in for the step class Fri of the RT?

No workout again this am, have to be in early (and I'm already late) so today's menu will be a carbon copy of yesterday. If I'm not too drained after work I'll try to throw some kind of workout in...maybe an IMAX or LowMax, I'll have to see what I'm up for.

I ended up doing NOT so well yesterday. Phyllis, I share yoor pretzel problem. They were salty and oh, so good. I ate them with grapes. That sweet/salty combo was just amazing.

I wish that were my only vice yesterday. I won't go into details but today is a new day! Hoping to do better today. Will post meals later...actually I'm not even sure yet. Kasi will be there somewhere I'm sure!

Kate I love chocolate covered pretzels and don't worry you will do better today. Enjoy your day Wendi. Salom cakes were good...thank God for non-stick pans. What did we do before they had non-stick pans?

Today I work out with Kim Spreen Kick-boxing and it is hard to even type ...my arms are hurting so much.

Today at work we are having a bakesale :-( :-( :-(
I pray they have something healthy, even if it has a lot of calories.

Oh Robin, bakesale!! I love home made rice krispie squares, and bake sales are the best place to get them :) Good luck!
Today is a new day ladies! I'm a pretzel fan too, i like mine dipped in pb! yikes.
I woke up at 4 to do B&G's and my lower back seized up on me. I think its hamstring related. I carried on with the workout, really watching form with the deadlifts etc. I'm so nervous about getting injured for the RT. I'm going to see if our hospital physiotherapist on my team would take a look today.
Menu:
B-oats, hemp pro, wild blueberries!!, almond milk
s-fruit
l-soup, carrots, organic hummus, apple
s-ryveta and almond butter
d-mixed vegetables, steamed, organic tomato sauce, lentils and oatmeal probably :)

Phyllis ~ I had my Kashi w/ light choc. soy too (the 8th continent brand) & it was yummy!! I think I must have bought it by accident & I was all out of vanilla. Yum!! Oh, and I made the mistake of buying honey wheat pretzels for my dd's. I love those darn things, had some dipped in NM PB the other day. :9

A usual day planned for me.

Breakfast ~ Usual oatmeal + berries

Lunch ~ Salad + chicken

Dinner ~ Not sure yet... might make pizzas so I'll make myself one out of flatbread
 
Breakfast was good. Eggs, ww eng. muff., banana. Hoping snack will be an apple. I ran out of almonds last night, so probably will eat peanuts. Problem with those is they give me horrible gas (!) and I'll be at my in-laws' all morning to work. Might have to do w/o them! Anybody else get this? Please?!

Ugh - I would have a hard time at the bake sale too. Good luck! In fact tonight DDs and I are making Amish friendship bread. It basically ferments for 10 days on the countertop. It is so good/rich/yummy/ WAY BAD for a clean diet. I'm going to *try* to not have any - once I get started I can't stop. Wish I could send some of the starter along to you gals! Jess, you would love to do this w/ your girls. You get a starter bag, let it sit, add things to it for 10 days...divide it up on Day 10 (to give some starter away) and then bake yours. I always keep one so we can keep baking it...but maybe I shouldn't!!!!!!!

Lunch- Salad w/ grilled chicken.

Ooooh, Amish friendship bread!! Yes, I've made it before, back when I used to bake ALL of the time (hmm... no wonder I was way overweight then!!). My dd's do love to help me bake! I usually stick to making healthier versions of things like banana bread or something that's not just white flour & sugar!! :eek: Enjoy the Amish bread!!

TGIF!!!

It has been a busy couple of days and my eating has not been that great. I have had a luncheon yesterday at a greek restaurant (not a big fan of a greek salad) so I got a pita sandwich. We had a bagel breakfast this morning for a coworker who leaving and I had a half a bagel. I guess I just need to learn to say no to the food at these work events.

I am feeling under the weather today so no workout, but here's my food plan:

B: Shredded wheat w/ almonds
L: BBQ Turkey w/ green beans and cornbread
D: not sure yet, maybe a salad

I hope everyone enjoys the start of their weekend :)

Ok, my day has not gone quite as planned. My dh was home (he's home early on Fridays) so my 8yo & I went clothes shopping & then grocery shopping. She desperately needed school clothes as she has hit another growth spurt!! Anyway...

Breakfast ~ Usual oatmeal + berries

Snack in car ~ 25 mixed nuts (1 serving, bought them at Target as it was already 11:30!)

Snack again in car ~ Serving of Quaker BBQ Soy crisps (bought at Wal*mart as I was still hungry, by then it was 1:30)

Lunch sort of when I got home ~ Vanilla yogurt, cott. cheese + berries

Dinner ~ Off to scrounge up something! Just finished PUB so at least I got in my workout! ;-) So, not terrible but not enough to eat & I should have planned ahead better!
 
HI EVERYBODY!!! I'm baaaaack! Actually, I got back Tuesday night and went back to work Wednesday. :(

I did not eat clean at all during the week I was gone. I tried to make good choices but I also allowed myself to eat things like chocolate and sweets that I hadn't allowed myself to have. As far as food, I think I kept it tidy. That was really easy to do when I was in DC with my brother and his family because we ate Korean most of the time. I love Korean food!!! Sundubu jjigae (tofu soup) is a favorite!!!

We did go to the wharf one day and got 50 oysters and 3 dozen blue crabs. My bro shucked all the oysters and we boiled the crabs with Old Bay. It was SOOOO GOOD!!! Amazingly enough, with eating poorly and no working out whatsoever, I don't think I gained any weight. The scale is reading about two pounds higher, but I got my "aunt flow" and I usually retain about two pounds. Since I am having some AF cravings, I decided I will start my "two-week super clean" on Monday. That way, I can give in to my crazy cravings. But, you heard it here...I AM starting two-week super clean on Monday. If I don't, you can nag me!!!

I did Cardio Coach Press Play today (instead of tomorrow) and logged 8.2 miles. Wednesday, I did iTread and ran 6.7 miles. Tomorrow is Jari Love. Sunday, we have our Atlanta Cathe get together organized by Tess. I am so psyched!!!

Sorry for the dissertattion. I am so glad to be back and hope everyone is doing well. Missed my clean and tidy gals!
 
Welcome back Lorie! It sounds like you had a wonderful time....MMMM blue crab with Old Bay, count me in :9.

Did you here about how NIKE has responded to the Vick fiasco? They actually made the appropriate decision, YEAH! It's a shame that the punishment will never fit the (alleged), *rolls eyes*, crime.

Anyway, it's great to have you back and enjoy the GTG!
 
Oh, Stephanie, do take it easy on yourself. I had a nagging inner thigh pull that I kept pushing through and it ended up becoming a minor tear. Listen to your body, hon. I hope it's nothing.
 
Did someone say "chocolate covered pretzels?" If their smothered in dark chocolate I'm in deep doodoo }( :9.....
